(Dicks prov)
I was in my room laying on my bed not wanting to move at all today. So I have successfully not move the whole day, thank you Alfred and Bruce for not trying to get me to move. Sadly its only 2 so there is still time for me having to move. Suddenly there was a knock on my door, I said come in a very low voice. Bruce walked in and sat down beside me
"Hey chum, I know you dont want to move today but you have to go to the mountain for training" Bruce said
"You know what day it is, plus I do enough training on my own to skip a day" I said
"I know what day it is but you have to go, it helps with team bonding and plus you need to train with someone else not just your self" Bruce said
"Why cant I just lay here in my sorrows while the world passes by like it always does" I whined
"Because you have to push past it a bit and go train. Wally will be there and I can call in Roy if that would help" Bruce asked
I just looked at him and then sighed, I knew there was no way I was getting out of this
"Fine, but Roy better be there and there better be no mission. Then when training is done Im coming right back here and drowning in my self pity and depression" I said getting up
I heard Bruce try to stop himself from laughing. I turned to him and glared at him and then walked out of my room. Im not feeling up to training today at all, today like in the past im not at my best and im off focused alot
Once I got to the cave everyone was there already fighting with Kid on the sidelines since he had no one to fight with. Everyone turned to me and at that moment I just want to sink down into the earth and die because of the inner core
"Look who decided to finally show up" Artemis snarled
I just stared blankly at her and walked over to Wally with out saying a word. I could feel Wally trying not to look at me with pity since he knows how much I hate pity
"Are you ok Robin" Megan asked
"Yeah, just peachy" I said sarcastically
Before anyone could comment on that the zeta tubes went off and announced that Roy was here finally. I feel a bit better know there is another person here other Wally that knows what day it is
"What are you doing here my friend" Kaldur asked
"Dont worry I dont have a mission for you guys or anything, Im just here for my younger brother" Roy said and then walked over to me and Wally
Everyone nodded, they knew not to get between him and me and Wally. Everyone went back to training, me and Wally were fighting which was to say the least going interesting. We werent fighting up to our full power since I was so unfocused and Wally knew that so he was going easy on me
"What is up with them" Canary asked roy
"Lets just say that today isnt the best of days for Robin and Wally knows it" Roy said
Im thankful he didnt tell her the whole story, even though she should know it. We continued to fight for a bit when suddenly Canary stopped us
"Sorry for stopping you guys but there is a mission for you guys"
My eyes widened, I told Bruce no missions. This better be good or else im not going
"I know its last minuet but Batman just informed me, anyways you guys have to go to Gotham and bring in a guy that escape prison today. His name is Tony Zucco" Canary said
"Isnt he the one that killed the flying Graysons" Artemis asked
"Yeah he is, he is now threatening to finish them all off. Batman and Superman are already protecting the last flying Grayson, Dick Grayson. You guys need to find Tony and take him back to prison, he is somewhere in Gotham Batman said to check the old circus grounds first" Canary said
"Im not going" I said
"What do you mean your not going you have to go" Artemis said
"You are going on this mission Robin you are the only one that knows Gotham well enough" Canary said
"No. Im not going" I growled
"And why not my friend" Kaldur asked
"If I go then someone is going to end up hurt, possible dead. Im not going. Roy can take my place, him and Wally know Gotham as much as I do. End. of. conversation" I said and then walked to the zeta tubes
I zeta back to the batcave, changed, then went up to room and flopped down on my bed. I stayed in this pistion for awhile, I dont know how long but its been a while. All I could think about was Tony escaping, of course it had to be on this day off all days. My phone started to ring, when I looked at it, it was Bruce who was calling
"What" I said mad
"Look I know you are mad and I tried to keep it from happening but I had no choice" Bruce said
"You could have delt with him instead of sending the team after him" I said
"Yes I would have but when I found out he escape I was in a meeting that I cant miss, we are on a brake now. Anyways, the team got caught, you have to go save them"
"Not to sound rude or anything but do I have to, cant you send in I dont the Flash, GL, Hawkgirl. You know someone with their head screw on right"
"I already sent in Batgirl and she got captured to, everyone else is on their own mission. Look im sorry but you have to go I will join you once im done here. Once again sorry" Bruce said and then hung up
I sighed and went to the batcave. I hoped on my motorcycle and drove to where it all happened
(Wallys prov)
Great we all got captured and now Rob has to come. Batgirl came a while ago and still got captured
"What do we do now" Conner asked
"We wait" Red Arrow said
"Wait for what" Artemis asked
"For the little Birdy to come, its time that I finished my business with him" Tony said laughing
"What business do you have with Robin" Conner yelled
"Oh you dont know...well this is going to be fun now isnt it little bird" Tony yelled
There was silence for a bit but then we heard moving, it must be Rob. Suddenly Zucco threw knives somewhere and it hit something hard
"Not going to get me that easily Zucco, you should know that" Robs voice ecoed around the tent
(3rd person prov)
Zucco started to laugh his head off
"Oh I know that, now how about you come out here and face me. Or are you to scared your end up like your parents" Zucco taunted
The team besides Wally, Roy, and Batgirl were confused on what was going on. Robin then stepped out of the shadows
"I wasnt afraid of you then and im not afraid of you now. I will take you down and return you back to the jail cell you belong in and make sure the only time you get out is when they are carrying your dead body out " Robin growled
The whole team was suprised by what he said, they never knew this side of Robin
"Now now Grayson boy, your parents wouldnt be happy with the way your talking. They didnt raise you that way"
"Grayson as in Dick Grayson" Artemis asked
"You have no room to talk about my parents" Dick yelled and then ran at zucco
The two started to fight. The team felt helpless just watching, but what could they do, they didnt have their weapons and Megan and Aqualad were passed out. Dick got the upperhand and was punching zucco non stop now
"Kid faze through the ropes before Dick has the chance to kill him" Roy yelled
"You know I cant do that, I get a bloody nose if I do and then I almost always pass out" Kid yelled back
Suddenly Dick got thrown back and zucco stood up. Zucco started to shoot at Dick, a couple hit him but not all. Once zucco was out of bullets he started to swing his knife at Dick. To say Dick was bleeding would be an understatement, finally after a while Dick kicked zucco in the head knocking him out for good
Dick was breathing heavily but he still walked over to zucco to make sure he was actually knocked out. Once he knew for sure he walked over to where batgirl and the team were to untie them. First he got Megan and kaldur out of the fire circle they were in and then got Batgirl, Wally, and Roy untied. Once those three were untied he dropped to the ground
"You two untie the others and make sure Aqualad and Miss Martain are ok, I got him" Batgirl said while she grabbed Dick
Just then Batman came running in with Jim right behind him. Jim ran over to zucco and put him in the car and took off. Batman ran over to Batgirl and Dick
"Hey chum how are you" Bats said
"Just peachy for someone who has at least 3 bullet go inside him, multiple stabs, and took on his childhood nightmare" Dick said rolling his eyes
"Yeah your fine" Batgirl said
"I mean what a couple more scares" Dick laughed but then caughed
"You shouldnt be laughing dude" Kid said
"Im mean its not like im going to die"
"Lets just get back to the mountain and fix you up twinkle toes" Batgirl said
"Are you ever going to let that go"
"Nope"
----time skip----
Everyone was in the living room sitting on the couch, not saying anything. Dick went back to his sad state
"So your Dick Grayson" Artemis asked
"Yeah" Dick said and then peeled off his mask
"So thats why you didnt want to come on the mission" Conner said
"Well that and the fact that it is the day my parents died"
"Im sorry my friend" Kaldur said
"Its fine theres nothing we can do now other than letting me drown in my depression" Dick said looking at Bruce
"I said I was sorry" Bruce said
"Well can I go back to deep depression now without being intruped" Dick said making it sound more like a command than a question
Bruce just nodded and walked away
"You guys can asked questions later, but for now I just want to be alone" Dick said and then walked away
"See you at the manor in 5 minuets" Wally yelled
"Acually I cant come, sorry guys it will be just you guys this time. My dad wont let me out of his sights since I almost got killed last time" Batgirl sighed
"You are here now" Conner said
"Yeah only because my dad is at work dealing with Zucco, I have about 10 minuets to get back now. Ill try and sneek out later tonight to come over" Batgirl said and then left
"Well we better get going, by now he will be on his 4th depressing song of the night and I know for sure that kid hasnt eaten anything today" Roy said
"Yeah, hopefully he is on his 3rd song not his 4th. Well see you guys tomorrow" Wally said
Him and Roy left. Once they got to the batcave, they found Bruce sitting at the batcomputer watching the footage that was showing Dicks room. The boys could see a lump under the blankets on Dicks bed not moving
"Take at least cookies up to him, but also try to get him to eat something else" Bruce said
Both boys nodded and walked up to the manor. Alfred was standing outside of the clock with a plate of cookies and other light food. Both boys smiled, took the food, and then walked up to Dicks room. They didnt even knock on the door before walking in, they set the food down on the nightstand then climbed under the blankets with Dick
Wally was on his right and Roy was on his left. The boys wrapped their arms around Dick hugging him tightly. Dick shifted so that it was more comfy, which resulted with his head practally on Wallys chest and his back pressed against Roy
"We are here for you Dickie" Wally said
"Babs will be here later in the night" Roy said
Dick nodded
"Do you want to eat anything" Wally asked/ commanded
Dick shook his head no. Roy and Wally just sighed but saw it coming
"Ok then go to sleep"
Once again Dick shook his head no
"Go to sleep Dickie, we will be right here if anything happens. Just like last time and every time before that" Wally said
Dick was hesitant but nodded his head and slowly fell asleep. playing softly in the background the boys could hear the 5th song on his playlist playing (the song above)
"How long do you think it will take" Wally asked
"If its gotten better than longer than an hour, but if worse then in 30 minuets or so" Roy said tightening his grip on Dick
(down in the batcave)
Bruce and Alfred stood/sat watching everything that was going on in Dicks room, of course they couldnt see much except the occasional movement of the blankets but they both knew that they got Dick to go to sleep and later will get him to eat
"He sure does have some great friends doesnt he Alfred" Bruce said
"Great Brothers Master Bruce"
