Nate kept running, eventually causing the calls of his friends to fade into the distance. After what felt line an eternity, Nate's body had to finally stopped and rest, but his mind kept racing. God, he killed someone else, and he chose to do it!

"What am I gonna do?" he sadly asked himself.

"Well the way we see it," called a voice, "the only choice you have left is to die."

"Who's there?" Nate called angerly. He staggered a bit when he realized that he ignored the fact that he was a murderer to try and intimidate someone, but quickly tried to regain his composure. A brown haired boy dressed all in white stood in front of Nate with his arms crossed and a  smug expression on his face.

"We're the ones that'll take down the legendary Nate." called another voice. Nate looked to his right, and found a blond girl dressed all in blue.

"Then master Bolus will reward us!" two voices said from behind him. Nate turned a little more to see identical twin boys with black hair standing behind him. one was wearing black while the other wore red.

"And the resistance will be that much weaker." another girl called from Nate's left. She had red hair and was only wearing green. Nate was surrounded.

"So what, you're all gonna take turns taking me on?" Nate spat.

"Of course not." the boy in white said.

"We're not stupid enough to try." the girl in blue followed.

"That's why we came up with the prefect strategy." the twins said.

"We, of the Bolus army executioners." the girl in green continued.

"Shall destroy you in a five on one battle to the death!" they all said at once.

Nate closed his eyes and lowered his head, taking deep breaths while he tried to think of a way out of this situation. Nate swallowed hard when he realized that there wasn't one. "About time I found a challenge." he replied, steeling his nerves and forcing a confidant smile.

"We will go in color order with you in between each of us." White explained.

"So I'm getting five turns in a round?" Nate asked.

"We don't want the battle to be too unfair." Blue said.

"You'll regret that choice." Nate said half to himself.

"We hope you're ready resistance scum." Black and Red said in unison.

"I'm waiting on you." Nate taunted.

"Then White shall start us off." Green concluded.

"Enough talk, let's fight!" Nate replied, impatiently.

"I play a plains and end my turn." White said as the white sun appeared above him.

"I play a submerged boneyard and end my turn." Nate said, causing the left half of the blue water drop and the right half of the black skull to form.

"I play an island and end my turn." Blue said.

"I play a woodland stream and end." Nate concluded.

"I play a swamp and end my turn." Black said.

"So you can talk without each other." Nate mused, "I play a Golgari guildgate and end my turn." Nate finished.

"I play a mountain and end." Red said, glairing at Nate.

"I play a highland lake and end." Nate said.

"I play a forest and end." Green declared.

"I play a second woodland stream, then for two green and two others, I summon beast whisperer and end my turn." Nate called. The green orb sank into the ground, causing a tree to rapidly grow. Once the tree had finished expanding, a hooded elf walked out from behind it. A crow flew from out of the tree and landed on the elf's out stretched hand, the tree growing in reverse back into the ground.

"For a white and one other, I cast raise the alarm creating two 1/1 soldier tokens." White said. The white orb floated upwards and turned into a speaker that blasted and alarm, causing two soldiers to run in and stand ready. "I end my turn."

"I play a stone quarry," Nate began, "then for two green and two others, I summon a bristling hydra." the green orb began to sprout large spikes. More spikes shot out from the larger ones and continued to do so. Soon after, the spikes fused together at all angles and formed the hydra, six heads and all. "When bristling hydra enters the battle field, I get three energy counters." the hydra extended all of its necks to their full length and roared into the air, the three inverted pentagons shimmered into existence slightly above and behind Nate's head. "And since I cast a creature spell, Beast whisperer's ability activates, letting me draw a card." the hydra walked over to the elf and began to nuzzle him with all of its heads, getting a few pets in response. "I end my turn."

"I play an island and end my turn." Blue said, grinding her teeth.

"I play a Boros guildgate," Nate began, wearing a very smug expression, "for two red and four others, I summon Lathliss, dragon queen, activating my elf's ability, and end my turn." the red orb crashed into the ground, causing a small lava geyser to erupt. A large boulder shot from the fissure and landed nearby, only to shift and change as the dragon noble uncovered herself and sealed the geyser. The elf druid smiled at the large winged creature and bowed. Lathliss responded by doing the same.

"I play a swamp and end my turn." Black said slightly worried. Maybe giving the extremely high ranking and skilled enemy have five turns in a round wasn't such a good idea.

"Paying one of any, I put a rupture spire onto the field." Nate took a step forward in challenge, "Then for two black and three others, I summon a bone dragon!" the black orb shot into the ground. There was an unsettling quiet until the earth began to shake violently, followed by giant skeletal claws pulling their way up until the bone dragon was on the field. "this activates my both my beast whisperer's and dragon queen's abilities, making a 5/5 dragon token and letting me draw another card." the bone dragon bowed low to Lathliss, who roared in response while a dragon flew in to stand by its queen. The elf just smiled and shook his head, chuckling a bit. "I end my turn."

"I play a mountain and end my turn." Red said, sweating bullets.

"I play a guildmage's forum, then for a black, a white, a red, and two others, I summon Zurgo helmsmasher." Nate called. "the multi colored orb crashed to the ground, creating an extremely large dust cloud. Once the dust settled, the hulking white orc screamed in challenge. Zurgo then turned to the elf and raised his sword in a rallying way. The beast whisperer raised his staff in a similar way, signifying that his ability had been activated. "For one of any, I summon a sparring construct." the grey orb hovered just above the ground and spun on its Y axis, causing a large amount of random junk to gather around it. As soon as the scraps stopped gathering, the construct burst from the center of the pile. The armed robot then jogged over to the elf druid, the two of them crossing sword and staff before the machine ran back to where it appeared. "Zurgo has to attack each turn, so he will attack White."

"One of my soldiers will block and die." White responded. Zurgo sprinted towards the boy in white while one of the soldiers stepped into his path. The merciless orc didn't slow down at all until his sword was completely through the poor creature's chest.

"When ever Zurgo kills a creature, he gets a +1/+1 counter." Nate explained. Zurgo then raised the coups into the air and roared in victory, his mussels bulging slightly. "I end my turn."

"White, I believe we may have underestimated our opponent." Blue said worriedly.

"Keep going, we can win this." White ordered.

"I play a forest," Green started, "Then for a green and one other, I summon a leafkin druid and end my turn." the green orb touched the ground and began to become enveloped in vines that grew on top of each other and hardened until the elemental was ready for battle.

"I'll play another Golgari guildgate. Then for a black and four others, I summon Yargle, glutton of Urborg." Nate declared. The black orb hit the ground and turned into a small frog. the frog croaked once and began morphing, swelling to a size that rivals a two story building while its bones shifted and cracked, leaving only its relatively short legs and monstrous arms without teeth. The demon frog turned to the elf druid and softly chittered while the whisperer nodded in understanding. "Zurgo has to attack, so he'll go after Green."

Green gasped while her eyes went wide. "My druid will block!" she said quickly as the orc charged at her. Zurgo did a single vertical strike, cutting the elemental in half and roaring victoriously as his mussels bulged once again.

"Then I'll have my hydra attack White" Nate continued.

"My soldier will block and die." White responded. The hydra grabbed the soldier in different places with each of its heads and pulled in different direction, ripping them apart.

"And finally, I'll have my three dragons attack black for 21 and end my turn." Nate finished.

"No!" Black and Red yelled at the same time. The two red dragons blew fire at their target while bone dragon crushed Black under its claw, all before the boy even had time to scream. Round 2

"White!" Blue said, panicked.

"I know, I know!" White called back. "I play a plains and end my turn."

"I play another Boros guildgate," Nate started, "Then for two white, two black , and six others, I cast debt to the deathless." the black and white orb morphed into a three headed skeletal specter. The specter raised its hands towards Nate's remaining opponents and fired a black energy beam at each of them. As soon as the beams hit their chests, the Orzhov symbol appeared on them while the beams acted as tethers. "I payed six extra, meaning you each take twelve damage and I get it all. If my math is correct, which it is,  that means I gain 48 health." The specter closed its hands and pulled backwards, forcing the life energy out of the now screaming executioners. The specter finished it's action by bowing and presenting the life to Nate, vanishing soon after.

"White?" Red called.

"We can still do this!" White called back, holding his chest in pain.

"You do realize it's still my turn right." Nate asked coldly. "Zurgo will attack Green for nine. The orc made a mad dash towards the red head in green. She only had enough time to squeak before she was decapitated.  "My hydra and dragon queen attack red for ten." Lathliss swung her tail like a whip, knocking Red to the ground. Red closed his eyes and took a deep breath as the hydra stood over him only to crush him under one of its claws a second latter. "My bone dragon and dragon token attack blue for ten." The bone dragon took flight as the dragon token set it on fire.

"White?" Blue asked, quietly terrified. The flaming bone dragon took a nose dive at blue, picking her up and throwing her into the air, and shooting a ball of bones and fire at her.

"How?" White asked, totally shaken, "How were you able to beat us all?"

"You were arrogant." Nate responded.

"But we outnumbered you!" White was hysterical.

"Outnumbered, not outmatched." Nate said with a deadpan expression, "Yargle attacks for nine." The frog spirit grabbed white with one hand, slowly lifting him to its mouth. White could only stare as he the realization sank in that he was going to die. Yargle threw White into its dripping maw and bit down, finishing the match. Final score: White, Black, and Green; -1. Red and Blue; -2. Nate; 68.

The cards returned to normal while Nate began collecting his prizes, stopping to stare at each of the bodies as he did so.

"Nate, there you are!" Eddy called, "Over here, I found him!"  Eddy sprinted over to where Nate was crouched with the others not far behind. However they all stopped dead in there tracks when they saw five bodies laying mangled and mimed.

"Hey guys." Nate almost whispered.

"Nate," Amy said. "What did you do?"

2096 words. Wow, that could not have gone more wrong for those executioners. With Nate becoming more comfortable with killing, then it just might be time to challenge Bolas. Who knows what that will entail. Until next time, make sure you  like and comment on my story. Check out my other stories and YouTube, and may the item drops forever be in your favor.
