A/N: just to clarify some things for everyone!

This is my very first story so I hope you enjoy it! (First chapter is low key BORING)

Y/N- Your Name
A/N- Authors Note

Now on with the story, enjoy!
———————————————————
Life of Asgard was always quite beautiful as to what I remember of being a young child, was how much I loved the gardens at night, when the moonlight had always been magical. King of Asgard, Odin had always been against going out past 8 p.m. No remembrance of why, just that he thought it was safer that way.

Training started at a young age. Learning to wield a sword, using our spears to keep distance from enemies. I was taught at just above the age of 10. I quickly became friends with Odins son, as everyone seemed to know him.

He would frequently ask the others if he was scary. Probably because everyone was nervous and intimidated, him being the King's son.

"Thor! It's nice to meet you..." He casually said, searching for my name.

"Y/N! And you too! You're really good at this!" He had been practicing with blunt sword, which he was extremely good with, beating me almost every time with such ease. Almost.

"Father never lets me NOT train. I have to be ready for when I'm given the Throne." He looked down almost sad at that thought of being king.

"Don't get me wrong being King is a dream...but it is a lot of pressure. I just don't want to let my Father down."

"I am sure you will do amazing! You're already doing great as it is! Do not stress over nothing!" I tried my best to reassure him. Not doing the best but trying to ease the stress he had been feeling.

"Thank you Lady Y/N, I appreciate your honesty." He warmly smiled before walking off towards the castle's entrance.

Thor and I had become great friends, as we had trained with only each other, we understood each other's moves better than any of the other children.

At a young age I was told to conceal my magic. As it wasn't something I was supposed to have. I was to never practice, learn, or try to use my magic in any way, shape or form. My magic seemed dangerous. Almost feared by the people of Asgard. Although I followed those rules carefully, Thor knew I had this magic and wasn't afraid of it at all. It had put no dent in our friendship, but you couldn't help but be curious to why everyone was so weary of this sort of thing. It wasn't unusual to have such Asgardian magic, but mine seemed to be different someway or some how.

That was 7 years ago, and I was practically an adult now. No need for the rules of my fatherly figure.

It was just past 9:30 p.m. when I wandered to the garden, trying not to wake up the guard sat sleeping by the gates. I grew quite good at this as i had done it much over the past few years. I had often noticed a boy, taller than me, not much older it seemed, sitting in the library, a book in hand. Almost every time I left the castle, he was there.

Not once lifting his gaze from the book he had been indulging himself in.

Although I couldn't help but notice him. He had long, raven hair that curled slightly at the ends. His eyes extremely blue but slightly green, almost icy, and skin a pale white.

Every few times we'd notice the presence from one another, looking up, almost as it had become a routine. A habit.

Occasionally I would notice him with Odin and Thor, before training. It seemed they had known each other. Thor and I continued our practice as usual, but I was curious.

"Who is that boy? The one with the long black hair?" I had asked puzzled.

"That's Loki, he is my brother. Why? Did he do something to you? If he said anything I swear-" I didn't let him finish before I cut him off.

"No, no, he didn't do anything. You never mentioned him before...I was just curious. He seems to like reading a lot." I said trailing off, to look at him, reading a book as usual. Before I had even noticed, I was on the floor, I hadn't been paying attention and Thor tackled me giving me a splitting headache.

Loki seemed to have noticed and looked up, staring at the scene around him unfold. Embarrassed I quickly scrambled to my feet, staring daggers at Thor who had been apologizing the minute I fell to the floor.

"Lady Y/N I am so sorry! Are you okay! Are you hurt? Should I go get-!"

"No! No, don't get Frigga please, she doesn't need to know." I said quickly assuring him that I was fine.

Frigga had always been the most motherly figure I had known. When my parents had disappeared she took me in, along with Odin who, to say the least wasn't pleased taking in, as he called it "An orphan."

Frigga was kind and gentle, she had told me that when I turn 18 she will tell me about my magic, and help me understand it. Even if the King didn't approve, he didn't have to know. Nor was he ever going to. I would be cast out of Asgard if he ever found out about my use of magic. It wasn't easy hiding my magic when it so new and powerful.

Although, Frigga helped. She always had. Even now.
