The hood fell behind their head, and Saasha could finally make out their face.
A Togruta.
She had orange skin with white markings dancing on her face. Her lekkus were white and blue striped, her montrals towering tall above her head. She had light blue eyes as well. The woman looked to be in her mid-twenties.
Saasha's face only grew more confused. She hadn't realized that she lowered her lightsaber slightly. She must have been staring and obviously confused because the figure finally spoke.
"I thought Anakin would have told you about me?" the figure said with a slight smile lacing her lips.
This did not help the confusion that Saasha was feeling. In fact, she lifted her ignited lightsaber in front of herself again to defend her. She couldn't sense any danger coming from the women, but she had learned over the years she can't trust anyone she doesn't know.
"How do you know him, and what do you want with him?" Saasha asked protectively, harsher than intended.
"My name is Ahsoka. Ahsoka Tano. I used to be Anakin's padawan." she explained.
Ahsoka, that name faintly rang a bell. Anakin didn't ever really want to talk about his former padawan. Heck, at first he didn't even tell her; she heard from Obi-Wan. He didn't like to talk about what happened whenever she used to ask, so she just stopped asking. She could sense how much sadness filled him whenever she mentioned it, so she assumed this former padawan was killed, but clearly, she was wrong.
"How do I know you're not lying?" Saasha asked. She lowered her lightsaber so it was at her waist but kept it ignited, just in case.
The Togruta pulled two hilts from her waist, one in each hand. She ignited them and a crystal white blade pierced through the curved hilts. She had never seen white lightsabers before. She felt like she almost needed to shield her eyes from the blinding sabre.
Saasha wanted to ask the women more questions, like how does she know she didn't steal those from someone, but she could sense in her heart and her gut that the lady was telling the truth and meant her no harm.
Saasha retracted her lightsaber and clipped it back to her belt, and so did the lady.
"What is your name, young one?" Ahsoka asked her.
"Saasha. Saasha Ryn," she responded. She felt slightly guilty for how she spoke to the Togruta before she knew who it was, but she couldn't help it after going through the attacks she had experienced over the past days.
"Nice to meet you, Saasha," she replied while shaking Saasha's hand. " Where is your master?" she continued.
"I'm meeting him a couple of blocks from here." she answered before asking one last question for now, "How did you know I was Anakin's padawan? And how did you know where I was?" Saasha asked as they started walking towards the end of the alley, side by side.
"I will explain everything to you soon. We must get you somewhere safer before than." Ahsoka spoke.
Saasha nodded and walked beside the Togruta through the alley. Call it crazy, but she felt safe with Ahsoka, a stranger she just met. She searched her signature again and deeper and found nothing clueing towards her harming her.
