Her mother told her to have at least one epic love.
Her father told her family is Always and Forever.
Her parents died not long ago. Now 5 years later she is mending her broken heart.
She miss her parents but she needs to live her life for them. A life that she didn't like at all. Well that was until she met the most beautiful woman she had ever seen.
She was tall brown eyes and brown hair and she smelled like vanilla.
Hope Mikaelson found the small cafe called Parker's Café. She stumbled upon it when she was on her way to work but it began to rain heavily and she was unprepared for it. So she entered the place to wait for her car to pick her up but instead she was memorized by the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. Her name.
Josette Lucas Parker.
Since that day she had come every morning to sit at her seat at 06.30 for brakefast.
"Hey Hope, your brakefast is on it's way. Sorry we had a big order this morning" the brunette said and put the cup of fresh coffee on the counter.
"It's fine Jo. I can wait. There is no hurry" she said with a smile.
Hope sat and watch the girl that she had a crush on work her morning shift. They would talk from time to time between orders.
She noticed that the womans facial expression was different today. She seemed stressed and wanting to cry but held her stone cold face while working.
Her phone made a sound and her wondering thoughts was abrupted. She looked at her phone and she saw a message from her driver letting her know that he was outside.
"Hey Jo.. I see you later, I have to go" she said and took one last sip before leaving the money on the counter and walked out.
Josie looked up and was about to say goodbye but she was too late. The auburn woman had left.
"Great.. now she might think I'm rude" she mumbled. She kept on working until her morning shift was done and went back to her apartment that was above the café.
Josie took a nap for 2 hours before she got up and took a shower. She sat by her computer and started to study.
Ever since her father walked out on them Josie have been the one taking care of her mother and little sister Lizzie and the business. She opted to study from distance. That way she could take the morning shift and sometimes the lunch shift.
Her little sister is 6 years old and was gonna start first grad after summer. This will give her mom a bit of the stress a little more less.
Her mom Josette got the cafe from her aunt who passed away. She used to work as a doctor but ever since her husband walked away from them she couldn't go back. She didin't want her girls feel like they are abandoned. So she took the cafe and started over. But with everything cleared up before she opend her aunt had a lot of debt and if they couldn't pay for it they would lose their home and the cafe.
Hope Mikaelson was a 24 year old woman who got a part of the family business. Her department was the economic. She was the one who made sure that everyone got their paycheck and that no one was hassling money from them. Her father gave her the company but it would only be hers fully when she turns 25. So for the past 5 years she had been in charge of the financial department.
When she was done with her job for the day she went to the cafe as usual but when she got there she noticed the police and ambulance. Her heart was beating fast and wondering what the hell was going on and she begged to God that Josie was safe. She crossed the yellow line but was quickly told to stay away. Hope did not care. She needed to see Josie and make sure that she was okey.
"Hey I told you that you are not allowed to be here" the police officer said.
Hope ignored him and ran inside and when she got there everything was trashed around. Bullit holes was everywhere and Josie, Josette and Lizzie was sitting in one booth crying and talking to the police.
"Josie" she shouted and ran over to her.
"Hope" the brunette said crying. The two held on to each other and Hope refused to let go.
"I thought something happend to you and your mom and sister" she whispered. The younger woman cried and shook her head.
"Thank God they where upstairs" she said shaking her head.
"Hey I told you that you are not allowed to be in here" the same police officer yelled at her. He grabbed Hope's arm and tried to drag her but Josie stopped him.
"Hey let go of my girlfriend" she yelled out and everyone was quiet.
The door opend and in came the police Commissioner.
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY NIECE" she screams at the officer and the man quickly let go of Hope.
"Commissioner Mikaelson" the Detective said.
"If you ever lay a hand on my niece I will make sure that you won't get a job anywhere in this city do I make myself clear" she said and stared at the officer who quickly apologized and ran out.
"Aunt Beckah" Hope said and the blond woman looked at her with loving eyes and smiled and then turned to face the Detective.
He explained what had happend and that the daughter was lucky she did not get hit because she was in the kitchen at that time and the two others was in the apartment above.
"So girlfriend huh.. we haven't even pass our first date" Hope said with a smile and Josie was so red she did not know why she did that.
"I..I.. sorry.. I.." she started to stutter but the older woman just kissed her cheek.
"I would not apposed to be your girlfriend someday" she said and Josie smiled bright with that.
"We just need to go on our first date" she said and the two of them giggled.
"So.. I would like to suggest that you pack your bags for a few days until all this gets sorted out. I will arrange for you a place to stay" the Commissioner said and Josette shook her head.
"Oh.. Commissioner Mikaelson, you don't need to do that.. we can find our own place and.."
"Miss Parker, my niece is very fond of your eldest daughter and if anything would happen to you and your daughters my beloved niece would be mad at me for not taking actions and I as the Commissioner would not like my own people who is honest and hard working can not look away" the blond woman said.
"Please Josette, I would be much calmer if you, Josie and little Lizzie is safe. I don't want anything to happen to the 3 of you" she said with pleading eyes.
Josette looked at her daughters and then nodded her head. The 5 of them walked up to their tiny apartment and packed their bags and left the building.
Josie and her mom was suprised to see where they where staying at.
"Oh my god.. this is" Josette lost words.
They all got out the car and walked in only to be greeted by a blond woman.
"Hope, Rebeckah" the woman said and hugged the two.
The Parker girls just stood there and started at the place. It was all so elegant and big. Lizzie was amazed to see the place and all the shiny things.
"Josie, Josette and Elizabeth, this is my older sister and Hope's eldest aunt Freya. She will let you stay here until the investigation is done" the Commissioner said and Josette was about to say soothing when she was interrupted.
"Doctor Parker, I would be very honored to have you and your family to stay here in my hotel knowing that you and your daughters are safe. I will make sure that no one will come near you and your family" she said and everyone was suprised at what she just called her.
Freya smiled and chuckled.
"Ah.. my wife Doctor Keelin Malraux is a big fan of you. She always had stories of your work until she found out that you quit your profession. It's a big loss for the Hospital and the people when you quit" she saod with a sad smile.
"Oh... my god.. you are the doctor who saved our brother Elijah when he got shot" Rebeckah said and everyone was suprised to hear this.
Josette realized that she indeed had met this family before and she had met Hope who back then was just 15 years old.
"Oh.. your brother almost lost his leg after being shot" the former doctor said and now remembered.
"I have to leave but I will be back tomorrow after I overseen the report" the younger blond said. She bid goodbye and walked out the hotel.
Freya showed them where they where gonna stay and to their surprise it was the penthouse.
When they entered the Parkers lost their footing. The room was bigger then their own café and the apartment combined. It had 4 big bedrooms with connected walk in closet and bathroom. A private kitchen, a big office area, a den. TV room and a family room. Spa area and a playroom.
"This is too much" Josette said and looked back at the blond woman who just shook her head.
"No it is not. You and your daughters deserves more. You saved my little brother and that my dear is priceless. No one in our family can ever repay for what you gave us so now let us take care of you" the woman said and Josette couldn't keep her tears on bay anymore.
She was exhausted and scared that she nearly lost her first daughter. The one who always made sure that she was sane and always took care of her little sister.
"Mommy, don't cry" she heard the sweet little voice of the youngest. She looked down and saw her sweet little baby girl smile at her. She looked up at her oldest who had a smile on her face.
"Oh my babis.. I'm just exhausted and scared that I would lose you" she said and looked at her eldest.
"Oh mom you will never lose me. I will always find a way to come back to you and Lizzie" she said with tears in her eyes.
Hope and her aunt stared at them with a smile. The red head wanted to do something special for them. To hear that she was the woman who saved her uncel all those years ago warmth her heart.
"We will leave you to rest. If you are hungry just call the room service and if you need anything else just let the receptionist know and we will get it for you" Freya said.
Josie walked over to Hope and hugged her. She gave her a kiss on her cheek making the red head blush.
"Thank you for being here" she said and Hope just smiled and nodded. She too gave the brunette a kiss and then left with her aunt.
The next day Hope had showed up at their room with groceries. Josette was thankful to have the red head visit her daughter since she had been doing her studies while taking care of Lizzie since she herself was busy calling insurances companies and the police and other matters.
The sun was about to go down and there was a knock on the door. Josette opend it and in came Freya and her entire siblings. This suprised the older woman.
Everyone was sitting in the tv room and the room service came up with hot beverages and desserts.
"It's finally nice to meet you doctor Parker" Keelin said with a smile.
Josette was happy to see her old friend.
"oh Keelin, it's been a long time since we saw each other" she said and the other doctor nodded her head.
"Indeed it was. I'm sorry about what happend to your business" she said.
Josette nodded her head and took her eldest daughters hand in hers while Lizzie was on her lap.
"I'm just thankful that my little girl was not harmed" she said.
"So aunt Beckha, did you find the ones who did this to Josie and her family" Hope said and everyone stared at the blond.
"Yes, apparently the gang called EStreet7 was the one who blast your café. They have been trying to scare owners of shops and restaurants to pay them protection money and I sense that you guys denied them" Rebeckah said and Josie spoke up.
"Oh mom..this is my fault" she said and her mother looked at her.
"There was 3 guys who came in last week and I told them to her out or I would call the police and I forgot to tell you" she said with tears in her eyes.
Josette held her daughter.
"Oh my baby it's not your fault. You did the right thing. You couldn't have know that they would be this stupid. I'm just happy that you stood up from them" she said and kissed her daughter's head.
"Your mother is right Josie, it is not your fault. Those wannabe gangsters just wants to get easy money and have no care in who they hurt in the process. Do not fear. I will make sure that you guys are safe and that your neighborhood is safe again" Rebeckah said.
The both family had dinner together that day and talked about what Joaette would do while the investigation was ongoing.
Keelin had asked her to come and work for her in her clinic. She would be having a normal 9 to 5 kind of hours and she would be home before nightfall and still have time to spend with her younger daughter.
"Mom, you should take it. You can take Lizzie to school and I can pick her up after school. Mom please you have sacrifice your own career for us but we are fine mom. We want you to do what you love. Don't throw that away because you think that we would feel abandoned by you" Josie said and Lizzie nodded her head.
"Mommy, your a doctor and sissy is right.. we will be sad if you don't take the job" she said with her tiny vocie.
Josette smiled.
"I guess that I be taking the job" she said laughing and everyone was happy to hear that.
The next few weeks was a bit much for both Josie and her mother. They found a new house and Josettes new job was a bit much. She been working weekdays and Josie have been the one packing their stuff and picking Lizzie up from her pre school.
The house that they got was a 2 floor house and 3 bedrooms and a combined kitchen and livingroom.
Hope took some day off from her job and sent her some hired moving company that helped her moved their stuff to the new house. She helped her place their things around the house and cooked dinner for them.
Hope had taken Josie out on a date and Josie found it very romantic. She took her to see Justin Timberlake at the VIP section. Josie was having fun dancing around and listning to music.
"Did you have fun" she asked the younger girl.
"Yeah.. thank you Hope. This is the best day I had for a long time" she said with a wide smile.
When they got to Josie's house the two of them sat in the car and talked about Josie's past and how they got the café from her moms aunt and the bills that came with it. Her mom paid most of them with the money that she had left but it was a close call that they almost had to shut the café. Her father abandoning them without a reason or explanation.
"You know you are lucky to have atleast one parent. I lost both mine 5 years ago. My aunts and uncels have been the one taking care of me since then. I had a rough time but they kept me in line. Except for one day I just couldn't take it anymore and I tried to commit suicide but my aunt found me and got me the help I needed. They didn't even yell at me or anything. They just told me what my father used to say to me" Josie took Hope's hads in hers. She gave it a kiss and caress her cheek with the other.
"What did he tell you" she said and Hope just gave her a sad smile.
"He told me that family is Always and Forever" she said and kissed Josie's palm.
"You know what made me change?" She asked the brunette.
"No" she whispers.
"You" she whispers back and the brunette smiled.
"The first time I ever entered your café I saw you. The most beautiful woman I've ever met" she said with a low voice.
Josie connected their lips and the kiss was soft and sweet. The taste of strawberry and cherry lingering in their mouths.
"I'm so in love with you Josie Parker. You are the most beautiful woman I have encountered and I really wanna be yours" she said and the brunette pulled her closer and connected their lips together. This time the kiss was soft but demanding, emotionally and full of love.
They only time they pulled away was because they needed air. Josie smiled at her.
"I'm madly in love with you to Hope. I have never met someone like you and I'm happy that you came that day" she said and kissed her lips once more.
"I would love to be your girlfriend" she whispers.
