[Valentina's POV]
We just reached home. All the way Ales looked like he will burst any moment.
Me and him just entered and straight away walked towards the living room.
Elijah and Enzo were pacing here and there.
When we entered they looked at us.
"Where are they?", asked Enzo
"Coming", Ales said coldly and sat down on the couch with an angry expression.
I looked at Elijah and Enzo and both looked beyond angry staring at the door waiting for our brothers.
This is bad. Elijah and Enzo are never this angry.
Two minutes later my three brothers entered the living room. Xavier looked a bit nervous. Matteo had no expression and Xander looked like he could care less of the trouble he's in.
They come and stand in front of the three eldest brothers.
"What the hell is wrong with you three?", Alessandro asked in a cold intimidating voice.
No one spoke.
"Answer when I ask you something", roared Alessandro
Shivers ran down my spine hearing him.
"We did what we had to do", Xander replies looking at Alessandro
"Yeah? Care to explain why you beat those kids to pulp?", asked Elijah angrily
"They started it", Matteo said
"I don't care who started the fight! What I do care about is why did I get a call from the principal AGAIN regarding your stupid fighting?", shouted Alessandro
"We didn't ask him to call you", Xander said rolling his eyes.
I could have slapped him this second. He is going to get into more trouble with this attitude!
Alessandro stood up angrily.
"Don't you dare disrespect me", growled Alessandro
"Watch your attitude Xander. You're already in deep trouble", warned Elijah
"This was long overdue. Those boys had it coming okay", Xavier irritated
"They are in the hospital for god sake you idiots!", Enzo yells
"We could care less", Matteo shrugged
"Like we said they deserved it", Xander said stubbornly.
"You cannot beat someone like this just because you thought they deserve it!", Elijah shouted
"You're behaving like little kids who fight all the time for no fucking real reason", Enzo said
"We're not kids. Don't treat us like that. We had our reasons to fight them", Xander gritted
"I don't think your reasons were good enough to do what you did", Ales said in disagreement.
"It's okay if you disagree with us. We can't force you to be right", Matteo said
"This attitude shows you are still kids! I had to fucking convince the principal to not kick you out of the school and only suspend you for a week! You guys have created so much chaos in school all these years that this time the principal was definitely planning to kick you out!", Alessandro growled
"What do you want from us? Thank you for your astounding abilities to make people do what you want them to do?", Xander said raising his eyebrows arms crossed
"Mind your attitude Xander!", Elijah shouted.
"You boys have crossed limits this time. Dad told you not to get in trouble while he's not here. You think we are sitting here jobless and all time available to save your asses? You would have been kicked out of school if it wasn't for Ales", Enzo said angrily.
"I'm done with this shit now! You only need a chance to blast at us!", Xavier said irritated.
"I'm done with the disrespect. You three are grounded for a month. No tv, video games, mobile phones! I'm taking away your cars! You will stay at home till you realise your mistake", Alessandro ordered
Elijah and Enzo nodded in agreement.
Matteo, Xander and Xavier looked really pissed.
"You can't do that to us! We beat those idiots coz they deserved it!", shouted Matteo
"It wasn't our fault!", Xavier said frustrated
"You'll do what you are asked to do", Ales said sternly
"Like hell we will! You're not our father Alessandro! You can't take away our stuff when it wasn't our fault! I don't give a flying fuck if you think we're wrong. You're just a stubborn asshole who thinks he can do anything coz he's the oldest! I hate you!", shouted Xander extremely angry.
What happened next was something I never thought will happen.
Ales slapped Xander. His face went full sideways and he held his left cheek with his hand. He was shocked.
I gasped loudly with my hand on my mouth.
Matteo and Xavier looked beyond shocked.
Elijah and Enzo were furious at Xander.
Xander's jaw clenched when he looked back at Ales.
"I'm done with the fucking disrespect Xander. Good to know what you think about me. I don't care if you think I rule on you coz I'm the oldest! Infact I have to deal with your crap coz I'm the OLDEST", Alessandro said in a cold emotionless voice.
He said that and left towards his office. Elijah and Enzo walked away towards their room.
Xander stormed out of the living room towards the gym. Xavier and Matteo walked towards their rooms after a minute.
I just stood in the same place taking the after feel of what just happened.
Oh god..what will I do now? Even Dad isn't here.
I can't let them fight like this. I knew I have to do something. But there was no point in talking to them right now coz all of them are in hulk mode. They need time to calm down.
I sigh and head towards my room.
After two hours I decide to talk to them in groups.
First I thought of talking to Ales, Elijah and Enzo.
I went to Ales's office assuming all of them are there working or something.
I knock on the door of his office.
"Come in", someone said.
I walk in and like I assumed all the three are partying with their work.
Seriously.. they never take breaks or what?
"Hey", I give a small smile.
They nod at me.
"Umm I wanted to talk to you guys", I say
"Okay come sit", Elijah said
I sit in front of the three. They were looking at me intensely.
"Valentina if you're here to talk us into forgiving our brothers then I suggest you don't even try", Ales said
I sigh.
"No guys. I'm not here for that but I do want to talk about that", I said
"I knew it", Enzo said softly
"Guys just listen to me. I'm not here to defend them or something. I just want to put in my opinion if that's okay", I say softly
They sigh and nod for me to continue.
"You've known them way more than I have so understand that I'm not here to tell you how to take care of our brothers. You're the eldest and the most mature ones. Whatever you decide for us or do for us will be good and we know that", I said
Enzo smiled a bit.
"Ales I know what Xander said hurt you but I hope you know he said that coz he was angry. You're the eldest you've practically seen them grow so you know how they're right. Xander has always had anger issues and that's why he said what he said. I know he didn't want to disrespect you", I smile slowly.
Ales just looked at me not saying anything but his face relaxed a bit.
"I might have not known them for all my life but after I've come home I've seen Xander. Ales he admires you so much. He knows how much you have done for this family. I don't know if you know this but he looks up to you and Dad. He always wants to do the right thing to make you proud of him. He respects the way you three took care of them and Dad when mum left with me. Xander will never say this Ales but he loves you three so much. He just...finds it hard to react to stuffs in the way he wants to react", I say looking at the three.
They keep looking at me.
"I hope I'm making sense?", I ask nervously
Elijah nodded.
"Guys Xander doesn't prank us like Xavier does or cracks jokes like Matteo or gives hugs like Enzo when we are happy or in a good mood. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want to do these things. I'm just saying that maybe if we see more than the hot head brother we'll probably see the Xander we never thought was there", I say
"Look what I'm trying to say is that just coz we know he acts on anger we think it's his fault or he fights unnecessarily. Matteo and Xavier never get this angry that they fight someone this bad right? I think maybe you should really ask them why did they fight. I'm sure they will never want to disappoint you... It's just a suggestion", I say softly standing up.
There is silence for a while.
Ales cleared his throat.
"When did you become so smart and understanding?", Ales smirked
"More like when did she become so mature", Elijah chuckled
I smile shaking my head.
"Guys I know you're busy most of the time and I'm not saying that you don't spend time with your brothers but I think if you sit and have fun with the twins or Matteo you'll know how much you've missed them. It doesn't matter how grown up you are, spending time with your siblings is always fun. Just try playing football with them or do the stuffs you used to do when you were young. I understand there are lots of responsibilities on your head. But if possible spend time with them. It'll help you understand each other better", I smile
They nod in understanding.
"Everyone says that you are guys are lucky coz you have one sister after so many brothers but I think you guys have always been lucky coz you had so many brothers. If it's fun to have one sister I think it's even more fun to have six brothers", I grinned.
They smile at me.
"Wow", Enzo smiled
"You remind me of mum", Elijah smiled softly
I smiled at him.
"Thank you Val. This helped a lot. I will try to spend more time with them. I will ask them about why they did what they did", Ales said softly
I wink at them and say bye and leave the office.
Whew! That went well. I'm glad they understood what I was trying to say.
Time to talk to my younger older brothers.
I walk towards Matteo's room.
I opened his door and saw him doing something on his phone.
"Hey can you come to Xander's room for a second?", I ask
He looked at me in confusion.
"Oh okay", he nodded and stood up and followed me towards Xander's room.
I knock and enter.
I see both Xander and Xavier in the room like I expected.
They look at me and Matteo.
"What happened?", Xavier asked.
"I don't know. She asked me to come here with her", Matteo shrugged sitting on the bed.
Xander raised his eyebrows at me.
I sigh and sit next to them.
"Guys I wanted to talk to you about before", I say
"No I don't wanna talk about it so leave", Xander gritted
"Xander not talking about something that's bothering you is not going to solve what's bothering you", I glare at him
He was gonna argue but I stop him.
"No please listen just let me talk then I'll leave okay?", I said
"Go on", Matteo nodded.
Xander glared at him but didn't say anything.
"Guys I know you're upset coz they scolded you for fighting and I'm sure you had a good reason.. hopefully. But just for once think this from their perspective. Ales got a call from the principal complaining about you three. He was unaware of anything else. You guys have got into trouble before so of course their reactions were not exactly wrong right? And I know that doesn't make them right but remember Ales is the eldest and it's his responsibility to take care of us when Dad's not here", I say
They stare at me with no emotion.
"You were angry, they were angry so nobody thought of talking it out like civilized people instead fought it out like morons", I say shaking my head.
Matteo smiled a bit.
"Just explain them what happened I'm sure they'll understand. They are the elder ones guys. No matter what, they know what's best for us. So I'm just saying that talk it out with them rather sulk among yourselves. I know you love them no matter how much you fought or disrespected them. They love you three the same guys. They deal with our tantrums, they work hard to give us the life we live, they handle multiple businesses. They are our brothers guys. They took you in their little hands when you were born. They probably saw their little baby brothers and promised to love them and protect them forever. They know you since you peed on them", I chuckled
Xavier and Matteo made a eww face.
"Don't misunderstand them. Just talk to them guys. Telling them once in a while that you love them will give them and you more happiness than you can ever imagine trust me", I smile
They look like they are in some deep thought.
"You're right...we never thought from their perspective. We both were wrong in what happened earlier", Matteo nodded
"They're our brothers of course we love them. You're right it won't hurt if we just tell them that once in a while. I already regret how we spoke to them. They have so many responsibilities already and we're not making it any easier for them", Xavier said sadly
I looked at Xander and saw him looking at nothing with an unreadable expression.
"Xander listen I know you didn't mean to say anything to Ales which will hurt him. You were angry and I'm sure Ales understands that. But just remember Ales is the eldest therefore has the most responsibility and has to work the hardest. I don't think he ever had any choice in his life. He was born first so automatically the responsibility of the future Don of the mafia fell upon him. He didn't complain about it instead took up the title and worked hard so his siblings never faced any problems. He always gave you a choice in everything. Do you think he must have got the same liberty? He isn't hard on you coz he can be, instead it's coz he cares for you", I explain
Xander looks at me. His facial expressions soften. He looked like he is guilty.
"He loves you so much Xander. I know you love him too. Just coz he doesn't say it doesn't mean he does not. His job has made him a little tough and cold but never towards us. You both have a similar nature. You both love your family and can do anything for them. Just try telling him what you feel about him then see how good you feel", I grinned.
I stand up after I finish speaking.
"This is just what I think and feel. You've known each other way longer than I have. You six have always lived together so remember you six have the strongest bond that's born out of love and not just blood", I wink at them and leave the room.
I was walking back to my room when I'm suddenly hugged tightly from behind. I immediately stop and turn and see it's Xander.
"Thank you so much Val. I realise how wrong I was and I'm gonna make it right. You're right I love them so much", he says with tears in his eyes.
I smiled at him and hug him tightly. I rubbed his back.
Suddenly we are hugged by two more people.
Matteo and Xavier.
We stay like that for a while coz it felt good and release later.
"When did you become so smart?", Xander asked smirking.
He and Ales are really quite similar. They ask same questions also!
"I've always been brother. I just don't show off", I say smugly
They laugh.
"We know what we should do now", smiled Xavier
Matteo and Xander nodded.
We four go to the living room and sit down.
"Can you call them for us bambina?", asked Matteo softly.
"Sure", I nod and go and ask the other three to come down.
Ales, Elijah and Enzo come down slowly and finally sit in front of Matteo, Xander said Xavier on the opposite side facing them.
"We wanna talk", Matteo said nervously.
"We too", Elijah said softly
