Nakarating sa akin na nasa mansion na si mom and dad. Kaya heto papunta na kami ni Brent and Bella sa bahay. We used my car again, but this time I cannot even crack a joke to him. I'm anxious, really anxious how this talk will turn out.
We reached our place in just a few minutes.
"Mommy Lian, your house is big also. But please leave with us"
Sa totoo lang, hindi ko alam ang isasagot ko kay Bella. Of course, I want to. I'm just unsure with this predicament we are in now. Nagkatinginan lang kami ni Brent and he nods. I know he's waiting for me to say yes. "I'll love to live with you baby and your daddy"
"Yehey!" Masayang tugon ni Bella.
Nagtungo kami sa dining area since nagpahanda ako ng makakain, just in time for dinner.
According to our maids, nasa taas pa daw sila daddy and pababa na anytime soon. My heartbeat is getting faster and faster. Sa ilang beses silang na-upset sa akin, ngayon lang ako kinabahan at natakot ng ganito.
Hindi basta-basta si Brent and Bella para sa akin, I swear I'll fight for them. Hindi naman sila mahirap mahalin kaya I'm hoping my parents will love them too. Brent comes from a well-off family kaya sana hindi na maging issue kay dad even if he's not Korean.
"Wag ka ng kabahan, ako na ang bahal. I told you, I'd hold you no matter what. Loosen up,Love." I'm amazed how Brent can handle such things.
"Thank you, Love. Your words mean so much to me. Saranghae!"

Ilang sandali pa, napansin ko ng papalapit sila mom and dad sa akin. Tumayo kami ni Brent and bowed bilang paggalang sa kanila. Si Bella naman ay patuloy sa pagkain ng ice cream niya.
"What's with this set up, Yeleina? What is this guy doing here?"
Hindi agad ako nakasagot sa tanong ni daddy, bumalik kami sa pag-upo trying to cool down.
"Dad, I want you to meet---"
"Of course I know him, so it's you Mr. Brent Rafael Aragon, our company's main rival."
"Yes Mr. Park but I've no attention of doing bad things to your company. I came here for Yeleina. I came here to ask you and Mrs.Park to love your daughter freely."
Halos maluha ako sa sinabi niya. This guy is fighting for me, never imagined my unrequited love would be answer.
"So this is your daughter? Are you divorced?"
Nakikita ko sa mukha ni mommy ang di pagsang-ayon. Oh God please make them understand. Please make them trust me.
"Yes sir, this adorable kid is my daughter, my marriage with Carin was annulled almost 3 years ago."
Hindi umimik si dad but I know what it means, he doesn't like Brent. In the first place, he never liked him. What do I do now?
Pinagpatuloy lang namin ang pagkain ng walang imikan, pero etong pagkain sa plato ko ay halos di ko nagalaw.
"Eat well. Everything will be okay." Bulong sa akin ni Brent habang ang mga kamay namin ay magkahawak. How can I give up if he is this persistent.
Pagkatapos ng dinner, pinakuha ko muna kay yaya si Bella para ipasyal. Let's say, hindi magandang marinig pa niya kung ano ang pag-uusapan namin ng daddy at parents ko.
Dumiretso kami sa library ni daddy. Nakasunod lang sa amin si mommy at Brent.
"Young man, I know I sound cruel but please stop this nonsense. Leave my daughter alone. I trust no one when it comes to business."
"But my intention is pure, Mr. Park."
Hindi tumugon si daddy at sa halip ay pinalabas niya muna ito at si mommy. He wants to talk with me alone.

Sampal agad ang inabot ko kay dad. I just bear with the pain. I deserve this for being a pain in the ass to them for 24 long years.
"Ano na naman to ha?! Did you ever learn your lesson? Hanggang kailan mo ko bibiguin?! Did you forget your promise?!"
"But dad, please forgive me one more time. I love him, I love his child, I promise he won't be a threat to our company."
"I've forgiven you for many times! Hindi na yun mauulit pa."
"Please dad, please I'm begging you. Please let me love him. Please let me be happy!" Hindi ko maiwasang magtaas ng boses, hysterical na nga siguro tong matatawag.
But I love him so much that I can die every moment now. Please approve, dad! Please!
"Leave I am now disowning you. wala ka ng magulang. Forget that you are Yeleina Nicole Park."
Tuluyan ng bumuhos ang luha ko sa sinabi ni dad. Am I hopeless? Makakasama ko nga si Brent pero ayokong mawala ang magulang ko sa akin, not because of the wealth I'll inherit but because I love them.
"Dad what's wrong?!!" Bigla ko na lang nakita si daddy na hawak ang dibdib niya at nakakapit sa upuan upang hindi matumba.
Agad akong humingi ng tulong kay mom at kay Brent. We brought to daddy to his bed at tinawag ang personal doctor niya.
Hindi ako mapakali. I'm afraid something wrong happened to dad. I didn't mean to cause trouble.
Si mommy at yung doctor ang nasa loob ng room, habang kami ni Brent ay nandito sa labas ng kwarto. Pilit akong pinapakalma ni Brent. I can't help it, paano kung may mangyaring masama kay daddy.
Maya-maya pa ay lumabas na ang doctor, I asked him about dad's condition. Thank God he's health stabilized now but he has to avoid stress, kailangan daw iwasan na mapagod at sumama ang loob.
"Love, stop crying. Hindi mo kasalanan."
"But *sobs* dad's stressed out because of me. I'm the one who gives him trouble."
Lumabas na rin si mommy at kinausap ako sa loob ng pribadong kwarto. She's begging me to stop causing problems. Alam kong nahihirapan si mommy ngayon. She may be against me at times but not as much as daddy does.
"Anak, pls, I'm begging you. Tigilan mo muna ito. Tama na muna. Hindi ko gustong ikaw ang maging dahilan para mawala sa atin ang daddy mo. Mahina ang puso niya, he's prone to heart attack. He's just doing what's best for you. Please listen. Alam kong mahal mo si Brent at ang anak niya but love can always wait. Please anak listen to me. Wag mo hayaang idisown ka ng daddy mo"
Paano ko ngayon titimbangin ang mga mahal ko sa buhay.
Mahal ko si Brent, hinding-hindi magbabago yun. Pero hindi ko naman kakayaning ako ang maging sanhi para mapahamak si dad.
I just have to choose. I just have to sacrifice... even if it's the end of us. Forgive me Brent.

Pinuntahan ko si Brent kung saan niya ako inaantay. I took his hands, held it tight and kissed it.
"Brent, there's no doubt how much I love you. *sobs* but please understand. Maybe we just cannot make it this far *sobs* I love you, but I love my parents too. You see how dad's health suffered because of me, becuase of this forbidden love. *sobs*"
"So you're ending this?"
If I could just take the pain away Brent, I'll surely do. Please don't shed a tear for me.
"We cannot be together. *sobs* I just have to accept it.. I'll die instead of my parents. My heart is more than willing to die than seeing my parents suffer. I am so sorry.."
"I don't know what to say, what to feel. I just said I'm willing to fight for you... But why do we have to end miserably?"
"I love you, but can't you see *sobs* hindi tayo pwede.. Ipaglaban man natin, do you think we'll be happy na nasasaktan ko ang magulang ko?"
"I'm going back to Philippines. I understand you but I also understand that we have choices in life. I'm not asking you to choose, but if you'll come at the airport, then let's make it. If not, let's not forget each other. I hope in our next lives, we can be together."
I just broke his heart.. Pero bakit mas masakit para sa akin?
The Brent leaves my place with Bella. Seeing him walking away crushes my heart.. How could our fate be this cruel?! I love him so much I can die fighting for him!
But sometimes you have to choose. Sometimes, you cannot be happy because someone is suffering.
Dad, why can't you let me be happy?
