THE NEXT DAY
I woke up the next day. The sun shined into the room. I saw Freddie was still next to me. I turned towards Freddie and cuddled up close to him. A smile spread across his face and he brushed through my hair. My top knot had gotten loose, which made it easier for him to brush through my hair.
"Morning love!" he said, still brushing through my hair.
"Morning Freddie!!" I said as I looked at him.
"Got some good sleep!?" he asked.
"I was with you! So yeah obviously I got sound sleep!" I said with a smile.
"And I thought I would be the reason you wouldn't get any sleep!" he said with a smirk.
"Just had to get used to it, I guess!" I said with a smile.
"Do you have to go!?" he asked.
"I have to Freddie!" I said. "Now! I have to get up!" I said as I moved to sit up on the bed. But he pulled me back.
"Two minutes! And then you can get ready!" he said hugging me.
"Look who's asking for two minutes!" I said as I snuggled into him.
He didn't say anything but smiled. Then we heard a knock at the door. It was George.
"Hey Ann!! You got to go to Hogwarts! You're late! Get up and come down!" he said.
"Late!? What's the time!?" Freddie asked. I looked at the clock and saw it was 8:40. The portkey would be open at 9 only for a few minutes.
"SHIT!! FREDDIE!! IT'S 8:40!! I got to get ready! Else Molly is GONNA KILL ME!!" I said as I got out of bed and searched for my Gryffindor robes. My trunk had been sent home. I got into the bathroom and changed into my robes. I came out and saw Freddie was up! He was folding the blankets. I did my hair and went over to him.
"Morning again! Love you" I said kissing him."I got to go down! Come soon!"
"Yeah okay!" he said kissing me back.
"MIA ANDERSON!! YOU ARE SO LATE!! YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES TO FINISH YOUR BREAKFAST!!" Molly yelled at me.
"I'm really sorry Molly" I said as I sat at the table and began eating.
"Morning Ann!" George said.
"Morning Georgie!!" I said stuffing the food into my mouth.
"Slow down Ann!" he said, looking at me. "Oh look! Your 'to-be' is here!" he said with a smirk. I saw Freddie came into the kitchen, making his hair proper.
"Morning Georgie!" Fred wished him.
"Morning! Had some good sleep!?" George asked him.
"Yeah!" Fred said.
"How wouldn't you!?" George said with a smirk.
"Okay okay I got to go!" I said as I stood up and washed the plate.
"MIA!!" I heard Molly calling.
"COMING MOLLY!" I said and Fred and I wentoutside.
Everyone was there. I hugged Molly first.
"Take care dear!" Molly said.
"Yes Molly!" I said. Then I hugged Georgie and then Freddie.
"Write to me okay!!" Fred said.
"Definitely Freddie!" I asked pulling away from the hug. He kissed me on my cheek and I went to the portkey and touched it and the next moment I knew I was in the courtyard of Hogwarts.
I took my trunk and walked into the castle. I saw Ginny running into the hospital wing. So I took my trunk and walked into the hospital wing.
"I think we agree, Potter's actions were heroic. They question is, why were they necessary!" Professor McGonagall said.
I saw Ron was lying on the bed. He was sleeping or maybe not conscious. I don't know what happened.
"Why indeed!? This appears to be a gift Horace! You don't remember who gave you this bottle!?" Dumbledore asked and walked towards Professor Slughorn. Dumbledore took the bottle from Professor Slughorn.
"Which, by the way, possesses remarkably subtle hints of licorice and cherry when not polluted with poison" Dumbledore said handing the bottle to Professor Snape.
"Actually I had intended to give it as a gift myself!" Professor slughorn said.
"To whom might I ask!?" Dumbledore asked.
"To you headmaster!" Slughorn said.
"Where is he!? Where is my Won-Won!?" I heard Lavender telling as she came inside. This is going to get worse I thought and went to Harry.
"Hey Harry!" I whispered. He turned, surprised.
"Oh hey Ann! When did you get here!?" he asked in a low tone. Both of us were not interested in listening to what Lavender was telling.
"Just now!" I said.
"Don't worry Won-Won!!" I here!" lavender said.
Ron was mumbling something. Hermione saw me with a tensed look.
"Hermione...Hermione.." Ron was mumbling.
Lavender got angry and she went out crying.
"Oh! To be young and to feel love's keen sting!" Dumbledore said.
"Well, come away, everybody. Mr. Weasley is well tended." Dumbledore said and turned to see me.
"Morning Professor!" I greeted Dumbledore.
"Ah! A very good morning Mia! Good to have you back!" Dumbledore said.
"Good to be back professor!!" I said.
I saw Ginny said something to Harry and then she saw me!
"Hey Ann!! When did you get here!? How are you!" she asked as we walked out of the hospital wing.
"I am fine Ginny!! I just came now!" I said.
We got into the common room. I went into my dorm and kept my trunk on my bed and went down to the common room.
What happened to Ron!?" I asked Ginny as I sat on the couch.
"Wait!! He bought you ANOTHER RING!!?" she asked noticing the ring was different. I looked at the ring.
"Oh about that!! Umm...Ginny..." I was telling.
"What happened!?" she asked.
"We got engaged!" I said with a smile
"WHATT!!?" she asked surprised and happy.
"You heard it! We got engaged!" I said.
"Who got engaged!? Harry asked, entering the room and sat next to Ginny.
"FRED AND ANN!!" Ginny said.
"Congratulations Ann! I see he finally picked up the courage to ask you!" Harry said.
"Thanks Harry!" I said.
"I am gonna kill him! He asked you to marry him when I was not there!! That's so bad!!" Ginny said.
"Hold it there Ginny! It's you're the brother's wife that you are speaking to! You can't tell that you can kill him in front of her!" Harry said with a smile.
"It's okay Harry!" I said with a smile.
"Anyways Ann...welcome to the family!!" Ginny said hugging me.
"Thanks Ginny!" I said.
"What happened to Ron!?" I asked.
"Love potion first...but then poisoned!" Harry said.
"Poisoned!? Poisoned by whom!?" I asked.
"Draco!" Harry said.
"Oh come on Harry! Don't start off again!" Ginny said.
I wanted to speak to Draco. So I stood up. Draco has gone too far.
"Where are you going!?" Ginny asked.
"I'll be back!" I said. I was searching for Draco. I knew he would a lot of time in the Room of Requirement. So I went to the seventh floor. As expected I found him there.
"Draco Malfoy!!" I said.
"Jeez Ann! Were you trying to give me a heart attack! How are you!?" he asked.
"Oh I am fine! What did Ron ever do to you!?" I asked him.
"About that.. Ann.."he was saying.
"Draco I don't know what you are upto! You don't tell me...you don't let me help you! but I will tell you this! Something happens to any of the Weasleys...I will not keep quiet Draco!! They are the only people taking care of me now...I don't have anyone but them!" I said.
"Are you done!?" he asked.
"Yes!" I said.
"It wasn't meant for Weasley! It was for someone else! I didn't know the Weasley would drink it!" he said.
"Then for whom was it!?" I asked.
"None of your business!" he said.
"Draco! I will really help you! I promise! Just tell me!" I said.
"No Ann! I am sorry!" he said and walked away.
I sat on a bench there for sometime and then went into the room or requirement. I knew he would be there. I searched for Draco. Then I heard a sobbing sound.
I followed the sound of the sobs and saw it was Draco. He was holding something in his hand. I knelt down before him.
"What happened!?" I asked.
He showed me a bird which he was holding. It was dead.
"Draco!" I said pulling him into a hug.
"I want only two things from you Ann!" he said as he continued to sob.
"Anything Draco!" I said.
"Please don't tell anyone that I am one of them." he said.
"I would never Draco! What's the other one!?" I asked.
"Don't hate me for what I am now!" he said as tears rolled down his cheek.
"Draco! I would never hate you! You didn't choose this! Draco...you are crying over a death of a bird! You don't have the heart to kill anyone Draco!!" I said.
"I don't want to do this Ann! But I have no choice!" he said.
I sat with him till he calmed down. All these years he was a different person and now he is a completely different person.
"Give it here! I'll bury it!" I said.
"Bury it?" he asked.
"Pay some respect for the soul! Instead of letting it decay here!" I said.
"I'll come with you!" he said.
"But you'll have to be very quiet!" I said. He nodded.
We went to the middle courtyard and buried it in one of the corners. I was shocked to see this side of Draco.
"I like the old Draco...I mean don't get me wrong...this is side is good, you actually care for people...but I like the Draco who would always be smiling or scolding!" I said we went back.
"I just want everything to get over! Live a peaceful life either here or the other side!" he said.
"Everything will be fine Draco!" I said. He didn't say anything. We parted ways. I went to the hospital wing to see Ron. I saw Hermione was dozing, still holding Ron's hand.
"Hermione!" I whispered.
"Huh what!? I am awake" she said.
"Get some sleep!" I said.
"But Ron!" she said.
"I'll stay up!" I said reassuring her.
"Sorry I couldn't speak to you that time!" she said.
"It's okay!" I said.
"And you sister...the house.. I am really sorry!" she said.
"It's okay Hermione! Now get some sleep!" I said.
She eventually fell asleep and I was awake looking at the ring and thinking about Freddie
