I woke up feeling like something was going to happen today, I dont know what but it isnt going to be good. I was in the living room with Robin, Jamie, Kaldur, Nightwing, Wally, and Beast boy, everyone was doing their own thing I was just staring off into space
"Hey Bart" Jamie said
"Yeah"
"You ok" He asked
"I just have this weried feeling that something is going to happen and its not going to be good" I said
That seemed to catch everyones attention cause they all turned to me
"Last time I checked we dont have a mission coming up for another week, so im not sure what it would be" Nightwing said
"Yeah, I dont know I just woke up with this feeling that something bad was going to happen today and it hasnt gone a way" I said
Suddenly the alarm started to go off saying that there is an unknown thing coming into the mountain and that there is an intruder. We all ran to the main room(idk what to call it) and everyone else joined us. We all got into fighting stances and waited for what ever it was to show up. Suddenly there was smoke and then a space craft that I recognized showed up, the moment the door opened and I saw who was inside I bolted
(Wallys prov)
A space craft that looked like the one that Bart came in popped up in the middle of the room. The door started to open and Bart ran away at top speed, next thing we know there was another person chasing after Bart leaving all of us standing there speechless
"What just happened" Batgirl asked
"Im... not sure" Night wing said
Suddenly both people came running back into the room and started to run in a cirle and all over the place all we could see was red, white, yellow, and green. They were yelling things at each other but in superspeed
"Are you catching any of that" Kaldur asked
"Umm... Im really only catching a few words, they are moving to fast and plus I think they are talking in a different language to" I said
"Well what are you catching" Artemis asked
"Well Bart just said that he wasnt going to stop running, then the other guy said that he was going to get him. Bart said something about no the collar. The other guy said something about missing something" I said
"Is there a way you can stop them, they are making me dizzy" Beastboy asked
"I can try"
I ran after them trying to stop them, once they saw that I was running after them it was like they both downed 7 monsters because they started to run faster than what they were. I ran back up to the team out of breath
"They...ran...faster..couldnt...get" I breathed out
"Ill call the Flash then" Kaldur said
We continued to watch the two run and yell at each other for another 2 minuets and then Uncle Barry showed up. He noticed that there was another speedster and insistently ran after them, after about 20 seconds he was holding Bart with one hand and the other teen with the other apart from each other. I took a good look at the new teen, he had blond hair and the same outfit as Bart but his was Green and Black
The two boys were still auguring and then seemed to be going from one langue to the next like it was nothing and on top of that they were talking in super-speed. Suddenly they stopped yelling and Bart looked hurt and angry while the other kid looked scared
"you were WHERE, with WHO, doing WHAT" Bart yelled
"Umm.... I should run shouldnt I" The teen asked
"Oh yeah... you better get running before I come over there and get ahold of you"
"5 minuet head start?"
"two"
The teen took off running, Bart going to a running position and we could see the lighting coming off of him. He took off running faster than I have ever seen him run, it looked like he was going faster than him, me, and Uncle Barry combined
"Someone want to explain what just happened" Barry said
"To be honest we are not sure either. That teen showed up the same way Bart did and then they started to chase each other, and then we called you when Kid couldnt keep up with them" Artemis said
Before anyone else could say something Bart came running back in dragging a beaten up teen with him, he still looked angry but a bit less. He just dropped the teen and went to the kitchen and got food like nothing just happened. The teen stood up a bit wobbly but still stood up and was looking at Bart
"Look Im sorry" The teen said
"Nope I dont want to hear it" Bart said
"Will you at least listen to why I was there with him and let me explain what happened"
"Why should I, I know how it is going to end" Bart yelled
"Because this time was different"
"Oh was it now. let me guess and correct me if im wrong but he did the same thing he does every single time this happens"
"...."
"Thats what I thought, God Thad I thought we were past this" Bart yelled
The two then went into speed talk again this time yelling at each other and doing hand motions. Suddenly a gun shot went off shutting the two up and all of looking over to where it came from
Nightwing was holding a gun up in the air
"Now that I have your attention, mind explaining what is going on" Wing asked
"Where did you get a gun" Cass asked
"Hood" Wing, Batgirl, and Robin said all at once
"I agree with Nightwing, Bart would you like to explain what is going on" Flash asked
We all turned to Bart to see him glaring at the other teen. Bart then walked to the living room we all followed him and sat down waiting for an explanation. Bart and the other teen were standing in front of all of us
"Ok look... This is Inertia, he is from the future like me" Bart said
"Are we some how related to him" Flash asked
"No. He is actually Reverse Flashes grandkid"
Mine and Flashes eyes widened
"That man reproduced" I asked shocked
"Yeah not exactly" Bart said
"I am actually Barts clone. Thawne is old enough to be my granddad so that is what he is. Also before you go and say anything about me being good or not I am, I used to be bad but now Im good thanks to Bart. Oh my name is also Thaddeus but you can call me Thad" Thad said
"noted" Beast boy said
"Who is this he you are talking about" Lagoon asked
Bart and Thad looked at each other and then back at us
"We can not say, you know future and stuff" Bart said
We all nodded at that, we all know that if you mess to much with the past then bad things can happen. I still had two questions for this Thad guy
"I still have two questions for you. 1) how did you even get back here, Bart said that the pod he came back in was the only one left and 2) why are you back in the past" I asked
"Um yeah well...thats why I was with him because we were working on another pod so that I could come back here. And I came back here because I hate my life in the future and Bart was back here" Thad said looking at Bart
"Let me guess they were at it again" Bart asked
"Yeah, they still dont trust me so once you left it was like a free for all to push me out again"
"God fucking dammit, when I get back to the future they are all going to pay" Bart yelled
I think we were all suprised that he swore he always been a sweet kid here so hearing him swear is weird to hear
"Speaking of when are you coming back to the future" Thad asked
"I dont know, you know I still have somethings to do back here" Bart said
"Well Im not going back without you sooo...." Thad said and then looked over to us with what I assume is puppy dog eyes
Kaldur turned to Flash to see what he thinks, Flash was trying not to fall for the puppy dog eyes but everyone knows he crumbles when those are whipped out. Flash just sighed, shook his head, and stood up
"I will ask the bat, but dont hold your breath" Flash said and then walked away pulling out his phone
"Im staying no matter what he says" Thad said
"Whoa kid, dont go and try to disobey the Bat" Batgirl said
"I dont care what he says, im not going back without Bart, I refuse"
"Well then you better hope he says yes or else you are going to have one big fight ahead of you" Lagoon said
We waited a bit more and then Flash came back into the room. we all looked at him waiting for an answer to be given
"Bats said that since we dont know how to send you back and it seem like there is no convincing you to go back without Bart. You can stay, we dont know where yet since I know me and my wife dont have enough money to support 4 speedsters, but we will find a place" Flash said
Thad smiled as wide as he could get until Megan suggested a place for him to live
"He could just live here, we always have food to the point its over flowing and we have rooms that are not being used"
Bart looked at Thad worriedly, Thad looked like he saw a ghost
"Bart" Thad said
"They are back arent they" Bart asked sadly
"Yeah"
"What are" Artemis asked
"The nightmares/ night terrors" Thad said
"Well thats a problem" Beast boy said
"I can move here with you, it will be just like back in our time" Bart said
"Really" Thad asked and looked to Flash
Flash nodded
"If him being here with you helps then Im not going to be the one to keep him from you" Flash said
Both boys smiled brightly, everyone could tell that they were happy about the things that went down today
----time skip----
(3rd person prov)
Its been about a year since Thad came to the past. Bart and Thad share a room at the mountain so that Bart can be there whenever for Thad. As the year went by the team could see that the boys had a brotherly relationship, one minuet they were getting along but the next they were chasing each other and fighting. The missions were something else now, some went good where the two boys didnt even need to talk to the other to know what to do but then others they were a hot mess. All in all having Thad come back from the future was a good thing for everyone involved, and none of them talked about the day that would eventually come. The day the two had to go back to the future.
