Erm...How do i explain this...well...this morning You woke up feeling quite tired as you had just fixed multiple holes in one wall,
replaced a whole damn door, called professionals to fix the floor, and called professionals to fix Sanemi's bed,
And yes, you found out since you came back to them trying to fix the floor and bed, but who cares you still love em,...well...kinda,
You took another sip of your coffee, and dont get yourself wrong, you arent some coffee addict, you just drink it when your tired, other then that you just stick to water and tea, plus you werent that big of a fan when it comes to coffee,
Your eyes wandered off to the clock as it seems like even if you walked you would still be 30 minutes early, but who am i kidding your always early,
You put the empty cup in the sink, (and of course WILL wash it later when you get back home)
And proceeded to put on your work cardigan, since your jacket was..well...stolen, for some reason, you continued to take your lunch with you as you packed it in your small work bag,
Which also contained your keys, a wallet since SOME people keep on destroying the building, your spare clips in case your bangs get in the way, your phone in case something happens and some other small necessities,
And yes you fit this all in one bag, but talking about work, recently you also had a small chat with Kiriya, which was a week ago, you had been informed that some care takers had been slacking off, well...
not really since most of their patients have been sent outside proving that they are completely fine,
But that kept you wondering these past few days, why werent any of your patients sent out yet? Well its not like, you WANT them to leave, its more as you want them to start living normally,
And hekk you even thought of yourself being a bad caretaker, maybe you were to loose with them? Well you dont really know, you thought,
But its also confusing, they seem sane to you, sure they seemed a little cold and shut down the first time you met them, but they also seemed to have changed, not in any bad case of course,
But yet again, as we all do, you were so deep in thought that you didnt even realize you were already halfway there, well...the two places were only fifth a of a mile away if not even closer,
But You sighed, continuing to let your thoughts consume you, looking at the ground a little sadly, but you cant really make a damanged patient feel better in just 4 months can you? You continued on your thoughts, one second theres a negative one, then the second theres a positive one,
What a delightful way of walking to work, huh? You quickly shook your head, getting rid of all the thoughts, you cant go to work with that attitude can you?
Well you failed, your mind continued to have a war, and hekk you almost even passed the care center if it werent for someone stopping you-,
What? You suddenly snapped put of your trances at the feeling of someone touching your skin, you Immediately looked back to see Kiriya stopping you by the shoulder with a, confused face,
"(Y/n)?" Kiriya called put as you blinked in confusion before realizing that he was talking to you,
"Ah! Gomen!" You suddenly yelped as The male sweatdropped, "What can i help you with?" You sheepishly smiled as the male just chuckled before smiling back in response,
"Its nothing, you just almost passed the care center" Kiriya looked at the care center signalling you were an idiot, well not really, before fixing his gaze back to you,
As You flushed pink in embarrassment, hekk, how the hekk did you almost pass the center?! Its huge! You stared at the building in pure embarrassment not knowing what to say making Kiriya chuckle in amusement,
"Dont tell me you were trying to skip work?" Kiriya continued as you Immediately shook your head, "No! Of course not!" You denied almost Immediately making Kiriya laugh again,
"Im just joking, i know you wouldnt do that..." Kiriya finished his small laughing session, but really he was still quite amused,
"So what were you thinking about that almost made you pass the 'care center'?" Kiriya asked in slight interest as you two start walking towards the gates and you suddenly stood quiet as you looked at the ground in slight shame,
adding towards Kiriya's curiosity, but he didnt really wanna push his luck with you as he showed you a small gentle smile,
"If its really that bad you dont have to" Kiriya shrugged, looking back infront making you feel a little guilty, you know better then anyone how curious Kiriya gets,
"Oh no, its nothing that serious, im just kinda worried since none of my patients are better yet" You shrugged it off looking at the other way making Kiriya perk up,
"Oh? Thats actually a pretty common problem, if you want i can give you some tips if you'd be okay telling me the test results" Kiriya offered, forming a closed eyed smile as you blinked in confusion before turning your gaze to the male,
"Test results?" You asked tilting your head as Kiriya shot his eyes open in shock, "You dont know?" Kiriya asked you, as you slowly nodded not knowing what he's talking about,
"Hm? So they havent told you?" Kiriya asked again as you nodded in response making the male sigh,
"Those cowards..." Kiriya muttered to himself, and atleast small enough for you not to hear anything,
"What?" You asked making Kiriya shake his head "Its nothing, but if you really dont know, the care center provides tests every month to make sure everyones getting better or something like that, but if you want to, the next test is in a week or so"
Kiriya smiled making you slightly perk up, well that makes it a bit more clear, you thought before letting out a small chuckle escape your lips,
"Wow...cant believe i didnt ask sooner, but thanks" You scratched your cheek whilst smiling sheepishly, "You should do it more often, even if it makes you look like an idiot," Kiriya patted your shoulder as you blinked in confusion a second later,
You turned your gaze to the male with an unreadable expression, "Did you just call me an idiot?" You suddenly asked which made Kiriya Turn into stone stopping in his tracks Immediately,
Well...he kinda did as his expression looked quite horrified, never has he thought he would accidentally insult one of his friends, and hekk you even had the audacity to laugh making Kiriya even more upset,

Well after some convincing You made Kirita sit next to you, its not like he didnt want to he was just still confused on how he insulted you unintentionally,
"Gomen gomen..." you apologized with another sheepish smile whilst patting the males back, as Kiriya continued to sit in silence,
"Its alright its alright! You didnt mean to now come on cheer up!" You continued to get no response as you sweatdropped, you know he's not upset at you,he just prefers prefers to avoid insulting any of his friends,
"Come on it's alright" You silently chuckled to yourself, continuing to pat the males back as murmurs filled the room of some other workers, but you payed no mind and continued to try and cheer the male up,
You continued to try and comfort the male who was... quite dramatic when it comes to anyone insulting any of his friends, not mentioning himself,
And my gosh never had you regreted saying something so much until now, like sure... the second regret was a server saying 'have a nice meal' and you answered with the usual 'You to', but believe me this was worse as you continued trying until Kiriya eventually gave in,
Which took like...10 minutes...
"See? Look im not effected at all!" You smiled as Kiriya looked at you sweatdropping, "Yeah i guess so" Kiriya gently chuckled,
"Plus the only way to insult me is my age" you let an invisible tear run down your face which Kiriya smiled at, "Noted" the male complied as you two laughed together,
Completely ignoring what had just happened a few minutes ago and since you still have about 18 minutes left you both chatted until then,
"But i do remember one of my younger patients, they was so cute!" You squealed at the memory as Kiriya continued to listen, enjoying this much more then he should,
"Really? How'd they look like?" Kiriya asked calmly as you Immediately perked up, "i thought you'd never ask!" You smiled happily as Kiriya chuckled quietly at your reaction,
"And im glad you respected their pronouns Kiriya, but they had really silky short mousy brown hair and big blue eyes, they also had slightly tanned skin too, really all they needed was a bit of love and attention, poor kid was abused"
You sighed at the last part while Kiriya slightly furrowed his eyebrows, "Well thats no good...a child like them should have deserved a good childhood"
Kiriya commented as you sadly nodded,
"Yeah...but they got into an orphanage, i havent seen them in a month because of this job...i try my best though" You muttered with closed eyes,
Unbeknownst to you an idea popped into Kiriya's head a second later seeing your distressed figure, "Oh, then why dont you take a break today? and maybe we'll go see Them later, i only have to keep the records in check today which will probably only take half an hour"
Kiriya suggested making you let out a weird sound, as Kiriya perked up a brow, "Whats wrong (Y/n)?" Kiriya asked making you sweatdrop,
"I...I dont think i wanna leave them alone...some of them are quite the troublemakers if you get what im saying"
You sweatdropped even further scratching your cheek as Kiriya nodded in understanding, "Well thats fine, we could always go on Saturday instead" Kiriya smiled making you confused yet again,
"Saturday? You mean this saturday?" You tilted your head to the side Saturday was in...5 days or so, as Kiriya nodded,
"Yes, this saturday, the care takers are on break that day, it seems unfair to Father that the caretakers work all day and even on weekends so he frequently picks out some days so they can rest"
Kiriya smiled as you perked up, "Then who'll take our place?" You asked, please, you werent looking forward to spend another 10,000¥, and you especially didnt want any of them getting hurt in the process of breaking or fixing things
And Kiriya just slightly smiled again, remembering that small story you told him just yesterday when you finished your shift,
"Dont worry, the backup Care takers will" Kiriya reashurred making you mentally sigh in relief,
"Thank goodness...Hopefully none of them are mad about the change though...and hopefully none of them get hurt" You muttered as Kiriya nodded agreeing,
"It would be quite a shame" Kiriya added, "Yeah...and hopefully the new care taker would be able to handle them..."
you muttered cupping your own cheeks with your hands whilst Kiriya smiled at you before slightly chuckling gaining your full attention as you fixed your gaze on the male,
"What?" You asked as Kiriya just shook it off, "Its nothing, its just that you treat them like little kids, even ignoring the fact they killed" Kiriya explained finding this amusing as you nodded in an understanding matter,
"I mean i dont really have any younger siblings other then Nezuko right now, so i guess i just treat them like an even bigger family, y'know, like my younger siblings, even if some of them are older then me"
You formed a closed eyed smiled putting your hands back in place which Kiriya hummed at, "I see what your talking about, but we should change the topic," Kiriya sweatdropped slightly as you nodded,
"Yeah I'd like that" you smiled at the male "Great, so are you free at Saturday?" Kiriya asked, and hekk you could even hear some gasps but you shrugged that off,
"Yeah, i dont have anything to do since i dont have work anyways" you nodded smiling as you both continued to chat around, and hekk it didnt even feel like 18 minutes until you gazed on the clock,
16 minutes have already passed..., and unfortunately you cant afford to be late so you decided to end the conversation,
"Ah, i have 2 minutes left, i should probably get going now, sorry" you smiled sheepishly, interrupting Kiriya who was in the middle of telling you a story about his younger sister as the male smiled and nodded as a signal that it was okay
"Ah thank you, oh! And, here" You smiled taking out your phone, opening it and handing it to the male as Kiriya looked quite confused on why you're handing him your phone,
"Whats this for?" Kiriya asked taking the phone from your hands as you continued to smile, "Oh nothing, just wanted to exchange numbers to keep in contact"

You hummed as Kiriya nodded,
Putting in his number before happily handing the phone back, you Immediately saved it and put your phone back in your bag,
"Thanks again, Bye Kiriya!" You smiled waving while walking away as Kiriya just stared at you until you completely disappeared he formed a small satisfied smile,
to be honest you have a really bad memory...but its not really your fault
