Xia Liang was kind of disappointed that she didn't kill Zhao Xinrui but she didn't focus on it. Since she already knew who she really was, she was not afraid that she wouldn't see her again.
She would kill her next time she saw her.
"As long as she is alive, we will meet her eventually." Xia Min said coldly, narrowing his eyes.
It was exactly what Xia Liang thought.
Dong Jun's body trembled as he was intimidated by the coldness of Xia Min's voice and felt sorry for Zhao Xinrui.
Without Ye Fei's summon, and because of fear of fire, no more monsters got close to the yard. After they killed all monsters that were already in the yard, they were safe for that moment.
And at that time, the sun gradually rose from the east and the sky got brightened up.
Those monsters wandering on the street started to search for dark shelters to hide themselves in the shadow.
Finally they made it through one more night!
After Fan Xiaoyu came around, people cleaned and applied medicine his head which was hit by Zhao Xinrui. Now he felt sick and nauseous, leaning against the wall powerlessly.
He felt sympathy to Zhao Xinrui a moment ago but now since she almost killed him, he hated her to death instead.
Captain Sun and the rest of the group were sitting exhaustedly at the gate of the yard, surrounded by monster bodies. But no one cared about it. They were worn out. None of them was in the mood to care.
After killing and burning those monsters for one night, they were still afraid of monsters but not so as they used to be.
Xia Min asked, looking at Dong Jun and the others, "does anyone want to go home now?"
Everyone shook their heads in silence. Their faces were slapped harshly by reality after just one night. None of them still had the same dream. Instead of facing the brutal reality that their families had already become monsters, they'd better have a good memory in their minds.
Their goal for now was to keep alive.
"Then get in the car now!" Xia Min said, "find a clean place, put on clean clothes, eat something, then we will get out of the city."
Dong Jun and the others, although extremely exhausted, stood back on feet and followed Xia Min's order, without questioning his decision any longer.
After one night, after Zhao Xinrui and Shao Qingqing, no one stood against Xia Min.
Besides, Xia Liang, the creepy reborn, was there. They'd better do whatever was told. It was for the best for everyone.
The car started again. The engine sound was especially loud in such a quiet city.
Half an hour later after the car left, a person staggered out from the third yard behind the small yard.
She looked like a shit. There was a long, open cut on her arm, which was scratched by a monster when she was running.
Her shirt was dirty with burn marks. Her hair was a mess and her face were blackened with smoke and ash and stained with blood. It was even hard to see her face.
Her glasses were missing. Therefore, highlighted by her dirty face, the resentment, hatred, and craziness and evilness in her eyes were especially obvious.
