The bus journey soon ended as we got off the bus and entered the U.S.J
" WHOAAAAA!! IS THIS UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN?! " The class exclaimed as we met up with the Pro Hero Thirteen inside. I just hoped that the visor and my left down hair would mean that Kurogiri and Tomura wouldn't recognise me.
" Theres the flood zone,. Landslide zone. Conflagration zone... etc. Every disaster and accident you can imagine. I built this facility myself. I call it... The "Unforseen Simulation Joint" !!" Thirteen told us about the U.S.J. I stood beside Uraraka and Midoriya who were excited upon seeing the Hero.
" It's The Space Hero, Thirteen! " Midoriya exclaimed with excitement and enthusiasm.
Uraraka was also just as excited as she added, " He's a Gentleman Hero who does his work in RESCUE scenarios! Ooh, I love Thirteen!! " Uraraka exclaimed excitedly with a big smile. But my attention went over to Mr Aizawa and Thirteen.
" Thirteen. Where's All Might? I thought he was meeting us here. " Mr Aizawa asked Thirteen as he looked around and couldn't see All Might anywhere in sight.
" About that, Senpai... It seems he just about reached his limit during his morning commute. He's resting in the break room. " I listened in to their conversation. Though, I already knew what they were talking about.
" The height of irrationality. So be it. Let's get started. " Aizawa replied, I couldn't help but be a bit thankful though, because at least I knew what was going to go down today.
" Before we do. I have one or two points. " Thirteen spoke up.
" Or three... " He added, " Four... " He added again.
" As I'm sure many of you are aware... My Quirk is called Black Hole. It can suck in and tear apart anything. " Thirteen explained to us.
" And you've used it to save people in all sorts of disasters. " Midoriya spoke, to which Uraraka furiously nodded her head in agreement.
" Indeed. " Thirteen started. " However, my power could easily kill. I've no doubt there are some among you with similar abilities. In our superpowered society, the use of Quirk's is heavily restricted and monitored. " Thirteen spoke.
I couldn't help but remember Tomura's quirk, how he had accidentally killed his entire family when his quirk had first manifested. My quirk is probably more dangerous, not only can I imitate it, but a lot more Quirks with equally destructive, or more effects.
" But we must never forget that it only takes one wrong move with an uncontrollable quirk for people to die. During Aizawa's Physical Fitness test... you came to learn of your own hidden potential. Through All Might's Battle Training... You experienced the danger that your respective quirks can pose to others. " Thirteen continued.
" This Class... will show you a new perspective! You will learn how to utilize your quirks to save lives. Your powers are not meant to inflict harm. I hope you leave here today with the understanding that you're meant to help people. " He added.
" That is all! I thank you for listening. " Thirteen thanked us as he bowed.
But my gaze wasn't on Thirteen, it kept on flicking between him and the spot where Tomura would appear through the warp gate and enter the U.S.J.
The classroom applauded Thirteen, I was quiet and did my best to blend into the background as best I could.
" Great. First off... " Mr Aizawa stopped mid sentence at the sound of the swirling of a warp gate opening in the plaza.
As a hand peeked through the swirling warp gate, then the face of Shigaraki, with his Father's hand on his face as he peeked through.
Aizawa quickly turned around, facing the class and Thirteen. " Huddle up and don't move. " Aizawa shouted at the class. Everyone was confused, my mind quickly went through the different quirks I knew and could currently use as I mentally prepared for a fight.
" Thirteen!! Protect the student's. " Aizawa turned to face Thirteen as he began to pull up his goggles to cover his eyes.
" What the heck's that?! More battle robots? Like during the Entrance Exam? " Kirishima questioned as he strained to see what was in the plaza. I thought over what my plan of action should be.
" Dont move. Those are... Villains!! " Aizawa shouted.
Villains came out from the Warp Gate and into the plaza. " Thirteen... and Eraserhead, is it...? According to the staff schedule I received the other day... All Might is supposed to be here... " Kurogiri spoke as he looked up at us.
" Of course that whole incident was this scum's doing. " Aizawa muttered under his breath.
My gaze panned over to Shigaraki, " Where is he...? We've come all this way. And brought so many playmates... All Might... The Symbol of Peace... Is he here...? I wonder if some dead kids will bring him here. " Shigaraki spoke.
I grit my teeth, should I escape with Ida and get the Heroes? But I could stay here and help Aizawa, stop him from getting his severe injuries thanks to the Nomu. " Villains?! No way!! What Villains'd be dumb enough to sneak into a school for Heroes? " I couldn't catch who said that.
" Sensei. Aren't there intruder sensors? " Yaoyorozu asked Thirteen.
" Yes, of course there are...! " He answered back.
I turned to look at Todoroki, " Are they only here, or also at the main building...? Either way, if the sensors aren't working... It has to be one of their Quirks that's doing it. " Todoroki spoke.
" This place is far from the campus. And they picked a time when there'd be few people here... So maybe they're not as dumb as they seem. They must gave an objective. Because this is a well-coordinated sneak attack. " He added.
" Thirteen! Begin evacuation! And try calling the school! One of these villains must be jamming the sensors. There's a good chance one of their electric-types is causing the interference. " Aizawa began to formulate a plan.
" Kaminari. Try using your Quirk to signal for help. "
" Got it! " Kaminari replied.
However, Midoriya and I stepped forward towards Aizawa. " But Sensei, you can't fight them alone!! Against that many... Even you can't nullify all their Quirks!! As Eraserhead, your fighting style involves Erasure and a quick binding capture. Head-on battle isn't... " Midoriya spoke.
" I agree with Midoriya, not to mention that one of the Villains might notice that your hair goes up when your quirk is active. You're not a one-man-army Aizawa... be rational about this, let me help you. " I added as I slipped down the visor so I could look Aizawa straight in the eye.
But Aizawa gave me a firm head shake for no, " No good Hero is a one-trick pony. " Aizawa spoke as he then turned to face Thirteen. " Thirteen! Take care of them. " Aizawa then leapt down the stairs and into the fight. My fists were clenched tight and my teeth were gritting.
I watched as Aizawa took on the ordinary Villains as Shigaraki watched while scratching at his neck.
" Wow...! He can hold his own even when outnumbered. " Midoriya exclaimed in surprise.
" This is no time for analysis! Hurry up and evacuate!! " Ida shouted as he turned to us, Midoriya grabbed my arm as we went to evacuate.
But were stopped upon the appearance of Kurogiri as he stood between our path to the exit. " I won't allow that. " He spoke as he loomed over us, through my visor my glare was shifting between a cold as stone but faltering a bit.
I mean, this is the same Kurogiri who had just been worrying for my safe return home the other day after I hung out with Tomura playing video games. " Greetings. We are The League of Villains. Forgive our audacity, but... Today we've come here to U.A. High School - This Bastion of Heroism... To end the life... of All Might, The Symbol of Peace. We were under the impression that All Might would be here today... but... it seems his schedule was revised? " Kurogiri spoke, I could see the shock on Midoriya's face at what he had just said.
" Well... no matter. My role remains unchanged. " Kurogiri added.
He's not your friend right now Kathryn! He's a Villain who wants to kill All Might! I reminded myself as I saw Bakugo and Kirishima go in to attack Kurogiri with a loud bang.
" Not if we end you first. Betcha didn't see that coming!! " Kirishima exclaimed.
Kurogiri's form wavered and I saw some of the suit beneath Kurogiri's fog, " That was close... Yes... students though you may be, you are the best of the best. " Kurogiri spoke.
" No, get back! Both of you! " Thirteen shouted, and so with a quick tug of my capture tool.
I quickly tugged Bakugo and Kirishima back as Kurogiri's fog quickly expanded and encircled the group. " Shit! " I muttered under my breath as I then felt the ground beneath me disappear and I began to fall, I wondered where I would end up and who I'd be fighting with.
So when I looked down and saw the flood zone, and that I was about the fall into the water. I quickly imitated Fierce Wings with grit teeth at the stabbing pain in my back from where I had grown the feathered wings needed to use the quirk.
Halting my fall and hovering in mid air, I flew down to the boat, landing on the deck and finding it completely empty. So Tsuyu hasn't saved Midoriya or... Mineta... from the water. But I was soon proven wrong upon hearing a loud splat and thud nearby.
Running over to where I heard the sound, I saw a drenched Midoriya on the boats deck. Though, my rush over here alerted Midoriya who turned to face me while on high alert. " Same side Midoriya, it's me, Kathryn. " I quickly spoke as I pulled off my visor to show him that is was me.
Then Mineta was thrown onto the boat by Tsuyu. " Thanks Asui... " Midoriya turned to thank Tsuyu as she climbed up and over the side of the boat.
" Call me Tsuyu. But we seem to be in trouble here. " Tsuyu spoke as she got onto the deck.
" They know our schedule...! The simplest explanation is that they caused that media rush the other day in order to get their Intel. It's like Todoroki said... They've been waiting for this chance... and they prepared for it well. " Midoriya spoke, I nodded in agreement to what Midoriya was saying as I put my visor back onto my face.
" But, but! There's no way they could ever kill All Might! He'll thrash'em once he gets here. Bam! Pow! " Mineta argued back, imitating punches to add emphasis to his last sentence.
" Mineta... they must've figured out a way to kill him. Otherwise, why come here just to get beaten. I wouldn't put it past them. That one guy promised to kill us too, after all. Who says we can even hold out until All Might gets here? Even when he does show up... Who says he wont be killed? " Tsuyu spoke up, Mineta looking even more panicked as she went on.
" M-M-M-Midoriya!! " Mineta shrieked as he grabbed Midoriya by the arm and pointing over the deck. And at the Villains in the water who emerged and surrounded the boat we were all stood on at the moment.
" A whole school of them!! " Mineta screamed.
But Midoriya then began to mutter. " So they must have figured out a way to beat All Might... probably... that must be it... Doesn't make sense otherwise... I mean... there has to be some specific reason... A reason...!! ".
" If they... If there's even a chance that they have a way to beat All Might...!! Then we have to... We have to fight to win!! " Midoriya exclaimed. I stood behind Mineta and tried to think about how I was going to assist in beating these Villains that were in the water.
I could quickly finish this by using Todoroki's quirk and freeze all of the water in this zone, freezing each Villain in a sold block of ice. But would that make sense since Todoroki hasn't exactly told me about his quirk, and I've only seen him use the Ice half of his quirk.
Maybe I could make the excuse that I recognised his last name as belonging to the Pro Hero Endeavour and guessed that the other half of his quirk is flames due to how his hair shows his split between the Ice quirk he must have gotten from his Mother and the Flames from Endeavours.
Yeah... that would make sense. Given that I have shown myself to be very analytical and being keen in my observation like Midoriya. So that would be a viable excuse for if I were to Imitate Todoroki's Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk.
" How can we possibly fight, you dumbass? These guys might even be tough enough to kill All Might!! You're contradicting yourself, Midoriya!! Our only hope is to hide somewhere until the U.A. Heroes come to rescue us!! " Mineta screamed at Midoriya, beads of sweat pouring down his face.
My fists clenched hard and my teeth grinded together, I had forgotten how much of a coward Mineta was. But this was absolutely infuriating to witness in person.
" Mineta. Those guys down there... they're clearly suited to Aquatic Combat, right? " Midoriya spoke up.
" Stop ignoring my point!! " Mineta shrieked.
" So the ringleaders must have recruited their team knowing about the U.S.J.'s different environments. Exactly! Their intel told them that much at least. But with all their carefully planning, one point sticks out. They zapped you... Asu-... errr... Tsuyu... into the Flood Zone!! " Midoriya explained out.
" Take your time, then. " Tsuyu spoke.
" What's your point, already?! " Mineta screamed.
I grit my teeth and held back the urge to kick Mineta back into the water with the Villains. " Oh. Okay, right... What I'm saying is that they must not know about our Quirks! " Midoriya explained.
" If they'd known about me having Frog Powers... they'd have dumped me into that Fiery Area. " Tsuyu added.
" And then there would be that since I can imitate any Quirk I know about, it wouldn't matter where I was placed, I'd use Quirks that had a great advantage in that area and not use Quirks that were at a disadvantage there as well. " I spoke up
" It's exactly because they don't know about our Quirks... that their strategy was to scatter us and overwhelm us with numbers. They've got us beat when it comes to numbers and experience, so there's only one way for us to win! Exploit the fact that they don't know our Quirks!! " Midoriya exclaimed.
" Look. They're not trying to get on board! That supports my theory! " Midoriya added.
Now came us explaining our Quirks to one another, I'll just give the rough explanation on what I can do with my quirk and not list out every single Quirk I know and can use.
" I can jump really high... and stick to walls. My tongue can stretch to a maximum of 20 meters. Also, I can spot up my stomach to clean it... and secrete a poisonous fluid... I say "poisonous," but it really just stings a little. "
" S-Secrete...!! " Mineta stammeredout in shock.
" Those last two aren't that useful, just forget about them. " Tsuyu added.
Though, Midoriya had a look of surprise on his face. " Wow, you're strong... I underestimated you. " Midoriya spoke.
" I... I have super strength, but... immediately after using it... it messes me up... My Quirk... it's a double-edged sword. " Midoriya explained.
Nice explanation, too bad you're lying through your teeth on the specifics. That it can be transferred to another person through their DNA and it compiles power through each person it gets passed on to.
But now, was my turn. " I can imitate the Quirks of others, but I need to know how their Quirk works in order to imitate it. I can copy any type of Quirk, but Mutation type quirks are more painful to use since I have to grow or shift my body to match the needs of how the Quirk works. I also experience the same negative drawbacks from using the quirk too. I can also use multiple quirks at once in a combo sort of way. " I explained.
" I am not saying what Quirks I know; we would be here all day. " I added.
We then turned to look at Mineta, who takes a ball from his head and sticks it the a part of the boat. " It's really sticky. If I'm feeling good, it'll stick there all day. A new one'll grow in the old one's place, but if I take too many I'll start bleeding. They'll bounce off my own body without sticking to me. " Mineta explained.
It was silent for a few moments, I just raised an eyebrow at Mineta as I tried to not think of any dirty jokes or inuendo's which would crack my calm expression and make me laugh like a damn Hyena.
" Like I said, we just gotta wait to be rescued! My Quirk is terrible for fighting multiple opponents! " Mineta shrieked out.
" N-Not at all. It's a great Quirk. We just have to think how to make use of it... " Midoriya spoke as he was startled by Mineta's outburst.
THOOM
The boat shook as it was split in half. While Midoriya, Mineta and Tsuyu held onto the boat so they wouldn't fall, I quickly hovered in the air with a beat of the wings I still had on my back. " So strong...! He split the boat in two. " Midoriya commented.
But... In a panic, Mineta started to pop off and throw the balls on his head at the water whole tears ran down his face. I face palmed with a heavy sigh at that. " Why'd you panic?! Damn. Now... The enemy knows your quirk!! " Midoriya exclaimed while facing Mineta.
" That boat'll go under in less than a minute... once you're in the water, you're chum. " One of the Villains spoke. I just gave him a 'are you kidding me?' look as I obviously hovered in the air with a large pair of vermillion feathered wings on my back.
" Ahhhhh, he's right!! " Mineta shrieked as he stumbled back.
By this point, I had almost had it with Mineta's screaming, shrieking and sniveling. " Could you stop screaming like a damn Banshee!! How the hell did you think that you could get into U.A. and become a Hero when you're crying and sniveling like a damn coward!? " I growled out as I got into Mineta's face while towering above him.
" Shaddup!! You're crazy for not being scared. We were just freaking Middle School kids a couple of months ago!! I never thought we'd be in a life-or-death situation so soon. Ahhhh, I just wish I could've gotten to grop Yaoyorozu's boob-orozu's before I died. " Mineta shrieked back at more tears ran down his face.
" You think I'm not?! Everyone of us is scared right now, fear is what keeps a person from doing something stupid without considering the risks, fear is essential because the rush of adrenaline is what allows a Hero to think fast and allows them to ignore any injuries they receive so they can beat the Villains, because to strive in the face of adversity is what it means to be a Hero!! " I shouted back at Mineta.
" "The moment when the enemy think's they've won... represents your best chance." All Might once said that during a documentary interview. " Midoriya spoke up.
" This is... the only way we can win!! "
