Mitch stood by the bars of his new cell, looking at the shaking little boy. He had bruises everywhere, his eye was swollen, lower lip opened with drying blood below it, two fingers on his right hand were dislocated and lot more that Mitch didn't get to see at the time.

He walked to the bunk bed. Little guy was on the higher one, which was the biggest difference besides alive and scared cellmate. Mitch didn't know whether to do or say something or try to ignore him like he tried with the previous one.

One of the guards came to the bars. "You're a doctor, right?"

"I tried to get my degree to be doctor of law, also known as being a lawyer, so no I'm not a doctor. How did you get to such information and why are you asking?" Mitch walked back to the bars.

Guard sighed. "Look at him. Our doctor has full hands at the moment and since this entire thing isn't caused by the big fight, doc decided not to see him."

Mitch's eyes went wide. "His cellmate did it to him? Where were you?" Mitch asked with anger.

"Well if he started screaming, we'd know about it earlier than when we came to wake people up." Guard tried to blame the beaten shaking boy.

Mitch furrowed his eyebrows. "Do I look dumb to you?" He tightened his fists. "This is obviously something fresh. Some of his blood is still not dried." He pointed at the boy. "If something happens to him too, there may get a problem or two thanks to me." Mitch hissed and turned away from the guard.

"Don't forget that you have to be good to get out sooner." Guard spat back.

Mitch turned back. "You know there is a difference between being good and turning away from very obvious problem." He hissed back. "I am willing to stay for 3 years more, if it helps people like him. That was my job out in the world and if it's needed it can be my job in here too. Don't try to test me, it can end your job rather quickly." He cocked his eyebrow.

Guard gave him the "jesus, one of those" look and left. He knew that type and it was better to leave them alone. Playing with type like Mitch never end well for anyone.

Mitch turned back around and his eyes met with his cellmate's eyes. "Why did you do that?" He asked with silent voice.

"Because it's the right thing to do." Mitch shrugged and went to his bed.

Then another inmate joined the conversation. "Guys, he talks and he's not as nice as person would think when they see him. What's next, he has wife with two happy kids?"

"Sorry, but no wife here. But I can give you my ex's phone number, if you want. Maybe she'll like you, after all she takes whatever she is offered, especially all she gets is prison food." Mitch laughed. "On the other side, in this place you never know how long it's going to take till somebody takes you out and get away with it."

"Is that a threat, you little b*tch." The inmate hissed.

Mitch rolled his eyes and went to get the end of his sleeve wet. He walked to the bed and motioned for the boy to get closer. "Don't worry, I am going to clean it up." He whispered.

The boy jumped of the bed and sat on the chair by the sink (or basin if you will). Mitch started cleaning up, earning hisses from the boy. "Can you not put so much pressure on the wounds?"

Mitch nodded, but boy was still hissing every once in a while. "I'm sorry, but I can't do much of difference at this point." He whispered and kept cleaning the blood of the young face. After half an hour everything was clean and boy stopped hissing every few seconds. "There you go, you're all cute now again." Mitch chuckled and went to get his bed ready.

Boy stayed in his spot shocked by what Mitch said. After a moment he walked over to his new cellmate and poked his shoulder. He didn't want to talk loud enough for others to hear them. "Are you into men?" He asked.

Mitch sat on his bed. "I never thought about specifics, but what I know for sure is that I'm not straight." He said. "Why? You needed an ally?"

Boy blushed a bit and looked down. "It's that visible?"

Mitch chuckled. "No that much, but I had a feeling the moment I noticed how you were shaking." Boy sighed. "Plus I would support it either way. You are a human no matter who you love." He smiled at the boy.

Cellmate sighed with a smile on his face. "Finally someone with brain in here." Both young man kept talking, both on Mitch's bed with their backs rested against the wall. Eventually they started talking about their family. "By the way, I wanted to ask, do you have kids? Because when the guy mentioned you having daughter you seemed like you were ready to beat him with his own spine."

Mitch smiled at the picture of his little twins. "I have two girl twins and my twin sister has her own two twin girls. My life has been a little bit of rollercoaster with my girls lately." He told him about the entire thing with Helen and little Abby.

"Wait, so you didn't even know you had twins?" Mitch shook his head. "And besides keeping that a secret, she kept her baby near something that could harm her?" Boy asked with tone that suggested he barely believed it.

"The morning the cops came with her, I nearly got a heart-attack, especially when they took him to Helen's place afterwards. If she wasn't on her way to the prison, I would sue her for endangering that little angel." Mitch shook his head. He could clearly remember the talk he had with her at the station that day. He wanted to hit her because of the amount of anger he held in myself, but he managed to keep himself together.

"How did you not punch or slap her the next time you saw her?" Boy asked with a chuckle.

Mitch chuckled too. "Just a lot of keeping myself together and thinking of how my entire family could be disappointed. I mean, they probably wouldn't be, but still." He laughed at the end. "Plus girls went to see her after I did and they didn't need to see that."

"You really love them both."

"In a way I never imagined possible. I would do almost anything for them." Mitch smiled at the memory that popped in his head. He missed them and the way they were able to almost strangle him when they hugged him.

Before they could continue, guard came to get them out and since their cell was closest to the canteen, they were right behind the guard as they went. Mitch was behind the boy just to be sure that the boy won't get hurt more, because he seemed like he couldn't take much more.

The lunch went mostly silently, if you don't count the occasional shout their way that was in the "faggots" or "pussies" way of talking. None of the men cared - they already went through similar situations and they learnt from them. Not responding usually makes the empty heads stop.

On their way, everything was the same besides the part where the guy behind Mitch kept pushing him, trying to get Mitch to punch him or something, but Mitch didn't give in. His highschool experience taught him that it solves nothing, it can even get him in trouble.

The rest of the day was the same as the morning-to-lunch time. Someone bugging them as they were talking and during dinner few of the inmates kept saying different kinds of insults and provoking them.

Then boy looked at Mitch. "If I had more muscles, maybe my nerves would break, but this way all that I can do is cry, but I got through that stage long time ago. What about you?"

Mitch laughed. "I am lawyer, well I was lawyer, I deal with annoying who provoke me every single time I go to work whether I have a case or not. Plus I have two girls who are always trying to get me to get them this is that. I am very well trained."  They laughed.

One of the inmates came to them and grabbed them by their shoulders. "You two little b*tches are having fun?"

Mitch rolled his eyes. "How many time has this happened to you in highschool?"

Boy laughed. "Too many to still be affected by it. What about you?"

Mitch pretended to think. "I'd say enough to tell me that crying baby isn't that annoying." He smirked. The man huffed and pushed them to the table. "I thought this wasn't going to come." Mitch chuckled, earning slap on back of his head. "Person would think with the amounts of slaps, pushes, punches and everything I would be more kinky." They laughed and boy agreed with him.

The rest of the day was just them talking and eventually going to sleep. That day was one of those that started bad, but turned to be quite enjoyable in the end.

Hey guys.

This chapter was not that hard to write (as you can see by how quickly it's coming out). Let me know what you think about Mitch's new cellmate. If you have a name suggestion, put it down into the comments. I hope you like him, because unlike the one before, this one is staying here. If you like him enough, maybe eventually I can give in to them going the way (if you see what I mean)

And don't forget to let me know what you think about this entire chapter and in case you like it, please give it a vote and/or share it so it can reach more people :)
