"Class change seats next to your partners" the teacher said "Mark-ssi, sit beside Chaeyoung"
"Uhm... Why?"
"She's your partner remember?"
"Oh, I have a partner?" Mark said under his breath
I just sit on my chair staring at nothing, I'm thinking blankly, not minding everything
"Mina, do you have a partner?"
"Uh... Yes, I'm just fixing"
"Who's your partner?"
"Uhmm, Nayeon-unnie"
"I thought that she would be your partner"
"No, I don't want her to be my partner. I would rather die than to be with her"
"You don't have to be harsh about it and you know she's right there, right? Keep your voice down"
"Oh yeah, fuck you Chaeyoung"
Hearing my name woke me up from a blank-spaced-daydream
"Huh? What?" I said as I see Mark sitting beside me "Did you call me?"
"No, but I called Mina to sit on her chair" he said
"No... Someone definitely called me" I said in confusion
"Geez Chaeyoung-ah, stop hallucinating and let's begin our project" he said while handing me the canvas and paint brushes
"What concept do you want?" he said placing the buckets of paint down
"I want a heart, then a lady's hand with a knife stabbing the said heart"
"A grim concept, that sound beautiful and I think the class would like that" he said while I sketch the outline on a scratch paper "But, where did you got that kind of concept?"
"Personal stuffs, but don't mind it" I said while crumpling another piece of paper making it the 4th
"Struggling?" he said, I just shook my head and continue
"If you could stop talking, maybe I could concentrate and finish this as soon as possible" I said making him quiet
I sketched some and tried to add some more depth and sadness into the drawing then I transferred it to the canvas
"This looks good right?" I showed Mark what I've done so far
"What good? That look so good! Great even" he said making me smile a bit
"Let's put on the paint" I hand him out the paint brush "You will be doing the outline, I will fill it up and put some highlights" I said mixing up the colors
He started to brush away while I guide him where to brush and where to end
He finished the outline, I started it filling up
The teacher was staring at every student's works and judging it, the teacher looked at our and said "Oh, is someone heartbroken? I thought you two were in a relationship?"
"Wait, ma'am! Don't jump into conclusions, but we're just close friends" Mark said defending us both
I just continued to paint, I finished in under an hour and stared at it from afar. It looks better than expected
"Wow, I could see that in an art gallery" someone said
I looked to my right and see Kyungsoo
"You think it's that good?" I was flustered
"I mean, that is better than we did" he said showing their work, it's a little wonky in the sunset part but it's still good
"That's fine, it looks good if you don't look at the sunset" I said trying to not say anything bad
He just glared at me, I felt uncomfortable and feel like I'm going to die
"Uhmm... It l-looks g-good" I stuttered
"Thank you Chaeyoung-ssi" He said then bowed
I just flew from the scene and grabbed my painting and placed it on top of a desk to dry
"Hey, is it complete?" Mark said, I think he just came from the restroom
"Yeah, it looks better than expected" I said showing him
"Wow Chaeyoung-ah! This looks so good!" He said a little loud making the other students to look at our painting
"Hey, that looks great" Yeri said
"Damn, I'm jealous" Irene said frowning
"I should've made Chaeyoung my partner" Somi said
"Me too" Joy said
"Hey! I drew the outline of that!" Mark said making me chuckle a bit
"Yah! Yah! Mark, shut up!" Haechan said
"I would buy that painting for myself" Chanyeol said
"If she will sell that I definitely would" Jongdae said
"Class! Why are you guys compiling over there" the teacher yelled
"Their looking at Chaeyoung's painting ma'am" Mina's said because I can tell with that voice
"Oh?" the teacher walked near us and took a look "Oh! Chaeyoung-ssi, that looks really good" she exclaimed
"Thank you ma'am" Mark bowed with me
We waited a little longer for the paint to dry before sharing it at the class
We first sit in our original seats making Mina sit to my right again
"Did you and Mark finished?" Mina said, I just leaned forward to ignore her
"Your painting looks good" she said, I closed my eyes and pretend to take a nap
"Hey" she shook my shoulder "Chaeyoung?" she added, I can't take it anymore, I slapped her hand away that made her looked surprised. I looked away and stared outside the window
"Hey Chaeng!" she yelled
"Chaeng? That nickname again, but I need to resist it"
The sound of the bell rings to indicate the lunch break
"I can't resist it. Maybe if I just asked what's her problem? Yeah, that would work"
I looked back at her not knowing that she's just behind me "What–" We were right in front of each other, faces centimeters away
I leaned back "Move..." I mouthed
She moved back and looked away "Why don't you say something to me?" she said looking forward
"You already forgot what you said yesterday?" I said coldly
"Is it just yesterday? I thought that was a long time ago" she said smiling a little
I looked over by the window, I saw Bambam gesturing that he will punch me
"Hey Mina, Lean closer, I will whisper you something" I said smirking
She leaned closer
My lips, instead of going to her ear, it landed on her lips
She was shocked that she slapped me again but not as hard as yesterday "What the–" she said in shock
"Oh, I'm sorry, I just missed you" I'm just teasing her "Don't mind that kiss because I don't like you" I smirked then stood up
Walking outside, Bambam pushed me then walked passed me to go to his girlfriend, I just shrugged the thought and just walk away
I saw Tzuyu skipping right in front of me, she's so cute
"Hey Chaeng! What's with the smile?" Tzuyu said placing her arm around my shoulders
"Do I have a smile on?" I asked not knowing I have a smile on
"Yeah, it's so obvious" Tzuyu said dragging me to a table "Sit here, I have someone that wants to talk to you" she added before leaving
"Hmm... Who's this person that wants to talk to me?"
