As I'm heading in the parking lot, I can't help but act all grumpy. Damn Jungcock, he's really hitting on my nerve! I am so sure he purposely acted being all sweet to Lalisa as he wanted me to feel jealous.

"Jen.. we're going now alright? Be good to Lisa's mother and try not to be a bitch yeah?" Hanbin said chuckling. I lift my middle finger to him rolling my eyes
"Take care cockroaches" I just said. They hop in each of their car waving their hands. I nodded spotting my doll anywhere.

"Jennie!" ugh! Finally! I look where the voice came from and saw my doll running towards me
"Hi doll" I said hugging her. She hugged me back and smile "Get in" I gesture opening my car door for her. She thank me before I went on the other side getting on the driver seat
While on our way, Lalisa spoke that I thought she would never do as the silence eating us for about a minutes now "uhm, Jen, please whatever my Mom will say, please think nice words before you speak because my Mom was kinda uhm.. not too polite if I may say but only to those people whom she doesn't know, okay?" She explained fidgeting her fingers that on her lap.
I furrowed my brows confused of her words, what did she meant by that? Does Jungcock, by any chance made my name dirty in Lalisa's mind that she thought I'm a bad guy here?
"Are you saying I'm not nice? Have an evil tongue, is that what you want to say?" I am not annoyed, I am just not impressed as she told me to choose the nice words before opening my mouth
"No! Jennie don't think like that. It's just that.. my mother. She's not used to me bringing a friend other than Jungkook. Just, please?" she pleaded now looking at me.
"I got you doll" I said smiling at her to reassure her that I'm not planning to come up with something stupid. She nod smiling sweetly.
But then I remember the scenery earlier that to be honest, keeps on bugging my mind. "Are you really that clingy to Jungkook? Just a random question" I ask still my focus was on the road.
I'm driving with my wife beside me therefore, it's a must being all careful
"Yeah, he's used to it and he loves it anyway. He mentioned to me sometimes that if I'm being clingy to him, he feels that I really care for him and that I am being myself when he's around" she stated still wearing the smile that captured my heart
'Ofcourse he did love it. Cause he like you'
"Then why not do the same with me?" I ask nonchalantly like we were a friend for so long. I glanced at her and saw her expression seems shocked
"Uhm, I thought you wouldn't like a clingy person like me. I admit I find you intimidating and preferred to be distance to everyone. I'm.. sorry" she said looking down her lap. I chuckled, why so cute?
"Don't be, doll. Infact I love clingy person more than you thought. So do whatever you want to me, and I assure you I wouldn't mind at all" I smile knowingly.
I knew from this moment I am about to experience the clinginess of my one and only Lalisa Manoban
"Really?! Even if I pinch your cheeks all the time? Even If you're being squish from my tight hug? You wouldn't mind?" she asked hopefully with excitement on her voice while clasping her hand

"Why are you so angry at my cheeks?" I asked chuckling. I heard her giggling and damn, that's the most angelic sound I wanna hear for the rest of my life
"Because it looks so soft! You are like a bear, so fluffy" she say dreamily. I laughed
"Hmm if you say so" I said shrugging
Now we're back at being silence but this time, it's so comfortable. It feels so good having her in my car

After an almost hour of driving, we arrived in her house that was very simple yet homey. There's a few centimeter of distance from the front door and consist of second flooring
We made it in their fresh living room as I saw a family picture hanging on the wall without.. a father. It has one middle-age woman, I might say two teenagers that I'm sure a lovely ladies and Lalisa. But I could still feel that they are a happy family
"Mom?.. I'm home" Lalisa shouted walking to another room that I think was their kitchen. I look at my wrist watch. 5:37
"I'm here Lisa, just a minute" maybe it's her Mom's voice from the other side of this thin wall
I sat on the single couch roaming my eyes around, As I'm looking at the giant divider with full of cute figurines around, I saw Lalisa and Jungkook's picture wearing a funny mask posing like they were really having fun of their lives.
I would be lying If I say I never felt a pang in my chest.
"Hi Lisa, how's school?" Lalisa's mom ask that is now wiping her hand using a towel in her.
Ugh! Now I really miss my mother
"And who's with you Lisa?" Her mother asked maybe trying to intimidate me but ofcourse I am not.
She sure put a tone in her voice but I am a Kim, I am not scared of anything that I'm not involved of. To make it simple, I do not like her tone
"Mom, she's Jennie Kim, my friend" Lalisa said smiling at me but her smile was telling me about her warn earlier
"Good afternoon Mrs. Manoban" I greeted bowing my head 90 degree as a sign of respect to my future-in-law.
But Lalisa's Mom did nothing but to stare at me from my head down to my shoe like she was studying me
"Kim? Your facial was kind of... Familiar" then she look at Lalisa "Are you sure she's just your friend?" Lalisa's Mom asked, it's a no brainier that she doesn't like my presence here.
"Yes Mom, why?" Lalisa asked frowning
"Make sure of it Lisa" then Lalisa groaned
"Mom! She's nice don't be like that" Lalisa shows a petty of annoyance and I understand her because I never thought that her mother was this very.. straightforward
"Uhm, Mrs. Manoban. I would like to inform you that we are having a house party this night and it will be an overnight. My squads and I agreed that we should invite Lalisa as she is now our friend" I explained calmly despite of her unprofessional gestures towards me.
I should stay still as I am not really scared of her, I am just here for Lalisa and nothing else. It may sounds disrespectful but my deep admiration for someone deserve is only for those who is really deserving
"Is Jungkook coming with you Lisa?" Mrs. Manoban ask not cutting her firm stare towards me. But I couldn't hide my clenching jaw as she mentioned the cockhead
"No Mom, He's in a practice game" Lalisa said sighing. Lalisa's Mom nodded and smile to her precious daughter.

"You don't have class tomorrow. Okay, I'll let you" Lalisa's Mom said causing the corner of my mouth turned up "Go change your clothes now Lisa, I'll take care of your friend"
"Okay Mom. Jennie just a minute" Lalisa informed and run upstairs leaving me with her very nice mother
"Kim.. " Lalisa's Mom started and I just hummed informing her that I'm all ears to whatever necessary words she would spat on me
"Your pretty face scream of a not so good person" she said careless
"Listen here Kim.. if my daughter comes home with a single bruises or got abused. I will hunt you to death, I promise you that. I just let my daughter be part of your not really fun party because she had to experience some kind of that so she wouldn't think that her life was so boring that I was being a curse mother to her" she stated in a firm manner
"Do not worry Mrs. Manoban. If you saw any bruises or Lalisa being abused I willingly bring myself to you just to hurt me for free" I said smiling at her just so I could annoy her.

"And you do not have to worry being in jail as I would personally wrote a letter that composed of our serious agreement" I specified as I smile in an irritatingly smug. She glared at me

"You do know I'm serious, right?" she ask in between her gritting teeth standing straight like she was about to do something bad to me but as I've said I am not afraid, Infact she could hurt me anytime she want but she have to make sure that I will have my Lalisa later on or there will be a war
"I'm a woman of my words Mrs. Manoban" I pushed still standing on my ground but my face conveys a particular emotion just to inform to this respected woman in front of me that I am unjust
"Suit yourself" she just said as Lalisa came wearing a high waist white short and a flowery off shoulder.

"We're going now Mom. Byee" Lalisa said kissing her Mom's cheeks that her Mom reciprocated a nod smiling
"Goodnight Mrs. Manoban" I said announcing our departing but I stop as she look at me for a second
"My daughter, Kim" she warned but not enough to make me shiver
"You have my words Mrs. Manoban" I said then bow again
We settled in my car and Lalisa look at me as I'm driving to Hanbin's residence "What words?" she finally asked. I could feel her stealing glances on me as we were about to off in her place
"Your mother and I just have some little talk. Do not worry yourself about it. Nothing I cannot handle doll" I informed her
"I'm sorry" she said looking down at her lap
"For?"
"I know how my Mom behaved infront of you And I am so sorry about that"
I heard her sigh "Before, when I was still teen, I brought a friend in my house. My mother was just fine, infact Mom told her that she should comeback as she worried about me not having too much friends. But then she suddenly confessed to my mother that she developed a feeling for me and then my Mom.. let's just say it didn't came out so well. She's.. she's homophobic" Lalisa explained sighing
"From that moment, Mom never welcomed any of my visitor that she know nothing about but Kookie was an exception as our family are like, bestfriends" she added

"I'm gay.." I whispered furrowing my brows. Does her Mom could smell my gay-ass? Or she had stuff such gay-dar If I'm correct as they called it
"But we're friends and I know you will never like me other than being your friend, right?" She said and her tone was kinda hoping that I felt a bit of pain in my chest.
Does she mean she would never accept me as her lover?
But I won't let that happen. I'm sorry but I'm very determined to get her and now that we're graduating I have to move myself or someone might take her away from me
"We'll never know doll" I sighed
"Oh.." she reacted "that's.. trouble"
"And I'm with you when you're in trouble" I said confidently and to cheer her up as she's now feeling afraid of what might happen later, or tomorrow, or the next day
"Jen.." she pled
"Doll, I am not repeating my words. Do not worry because It's not happening yet but for now, let's party!" I said enthusiastically.
I then walk out from my car and jog quickly in her side just so I could open the door for her. I smile genuinely "Let's go?" I asked extending my arm for her
"You're right, let's go!" I smile as I now seeing her all smiley. That's all I want, she being always happy
She clung her arm on mine as we smiled to each other
And that's what I'm talking about
