Running through the forest with my katana to my side, and a cloak to hide my Identity, I attempt escaping my pursuers. It has been a year since I left the city branded as a criminal. Me, a criminal, who would of thought. Things are different now. Now I go by The Hunter. When people want to find somebody then they find me. I am now quite famous for finding people who don't want to be found.
I finally shook the people who were following me. They were clients that weren't happy about the fact that I wouldn't help them find the king. I knew I couldn't help them, he hasn't been seen in over a year.
I see a village sign in front of me and I am going to stay there for the night. I am hoping to get a warm bed to sleep in for once. I walk into the village and see a building with a sign over the door that said "Chuck's Inn." I walk in and ask if I can purchase a room. The man at the bar says "you can stay here and have one for free if you can help me keep the people peaceful and under control. It would also be helpful if you could take care of the girl sitting at that table over there."
"She has no one. Her parents got killed in a bar fight and I've been taking care of her ever since. I just don't have the time to take care of her anymore." I reply "Is that all I have to do for a free room." "Why yes, those two are more than enough" he tells me. I think I'll take you up on that offer" I say.
I walk up to the girl and sit with her and say "what's your name." She appears frightened and says "Sa Sa Sarah." I reply "you don't have to be scared I am going to take care of you." She still seems really scared so I say "Sarah, if I had wanted to hurt you I would have hurt you by now." I walk over and give her a hug. "See, come up to my room and I'll order some food for you. I see your hungry and I'll sleep on the floor so you can sleep in the bed and get a good nights sleep.
She shakily says "so you won't hurt me." "No, why would I do that." She hugs me back and I pick her up and carry her to my room. "what would you like for dinner I'm sure you're starving" I say. She replies "can I have beans and crackers" she says. I reply "you can have anything you would like. How about some steak and mashed potatoes and gravy." Her eyes bulge and she says "I can really have that." I say "why wouldn't you be able to have that." She says "no one would ever let me have that." I reply " Well from now on, anything you want to eat, just ask and I will get it for you. I lock her in the room and get the food from the bar. I walk back to the room, unlock the door, and walk in and leave the plates at the table. I tell her "You can eat if you want." She sits at the table and eats it like it's her last meal.
When it's about bedtime she timidly says "will you sleep with me." I reply "Sure, you don't have to worry from now on I'm here." She hugs me and hops in the bed and pats the spot next to her for me to lay in. She falls asleep immediately and I fall asleep a little later.
