As I walk down into the kitchen, my eyes land on those same dark brown eyes from earlier
My face heats up slightly as I thought about the moment in the bathroom earlier But those same thoughts are cut off by the bubbly voice of my best friend
My head snaps to her smiley face
"Y/n!, come here sleepy head!"
She says as I was already walking towards her grabbing a glass of water
I get closer to her and whisper in her ear "Who's that" I didn't want to not offend him if he overheard us talking "Oh..right I forgot" maya scratches the back of her head "y/n this is my older brother Chris, Chris this is my best friend y/n" she continues signaling her brother to me and me to her brother, he smiles at me and waves I couldn't help but blush a bit but still managed a hello
His smile is so cute
He smiles back at me as he waves and then continues scrolling on his phone, I turn to look at maya who's in her own world cooking some eggs, i unconsciously look back at her brother who has his whole attention on his phone
I don't even notice I'm staring until his beautiful brown eyes are staring back at me pink tints my cheeks and I look away immediately a little breathless chuckle rings in my ears and my cheeks turn a darker pinkish color
How embarrassing
I mentally face palm myself, that's when maya speaks up oblivious to anything going on
"Y/n come on let's go eat in the living room" she hands me a plate and grabs my hand to lead me to the living room "and since when did mom and dad allow you to eat outside the kitchen?" Her brothers voice rings through the air "since you left" maya says back sticking her tongue out at him teasingly, I can't see his face but by the look of pride on my best friends face, it leads me to believe that he was not happy by that answer

Mayas parents had come back from their morning walk and Chris was up in his room while me and maya stayed in the living "hogging" the couch or whatever he decided to complain about it
"Maya please if you're going to be hogging the living room can the two of you shut up for the love of god, I can hear you from all the way in my room"
Chris shouts from up the stares
"How about you stop being an ass and leave us alone"
Maya shouts back up to him, he groans and slams his bedroom door shut
"Maya why don't you invite him down to watch a movie?" I ask wanting some peace between the two siblings it's been non stop bickering since he got here
Being completely honest I didn't care about the two I just wanted the blond haired male to stop complaining and the brunette girl to stop yelling back at him, I just wanted some quiet time between the two
I so desperately wanted Mrs. Mr. Bang to be back from wherever they were currently, I stare at my best friend who is now staring at me like I'm a crazy lunatic and has declared a crazy crime I wanted to commit "what? Did I say something wrong?" I stare back at her confused "oh you did my sweet sweet y/n, you've gotta be crazy to want to watch a movie with my brother" she pats my shoulder and shakes her head "but if you so want him to, go up and ask him" she continues smiling at me "what? Me? Maya he's your brother" I spit out "and you want him to join us" she pats my shoulder again smiling
Why did I agree to this
I think as I'm now infront of his door not sure if I should or shouldn't knock to invite him down, you know whatever fuck it, I knock on his door "maya go away" i sigh as I hear his voice come through the white wooden door
Maybe I should just go...
"Uh it's- it's not maya" I mumble under my breath, I hear footsteps getting closer to the door until it opens "ma- oh" he says I look up, he's shirtless his damp hair stuck to his forehead, well isn't this scene oddly familiar, my eyes trail slightly down noticing that this time he has grey sweats instead of a towel
"My eyes are up here, princess" his sweet voice rings in my ears, My face heats up immediately and I know it's bright red when I hear a chuckle escaping his lips "what brings you to my room?" He leans against the door frame with his arms crossed in front of his bare chest, How embarrassing I knew this was such a bad idea "uh maya told me to come up and ask if you wanted to watch a movie with us" I say looking straight at the ground scratching my arm trying so hard to avoid looking at him
"Since you asked so nicely I'll come" I look up at him for a brief moment before realizing I'm in the way and move to go back down stairs "no way my sweet y/n did the impossible and actually made my brother leave his room" maya says all shocked in a sarcastic tone "ha ha real funny you know the only reason I don't leave is because of you" he smiles back "my lovable sister" he adds sarcastically, god these two haven't seen eachother in years and this is how they treat eachother completely different from Daniel and I
Danny.. i haven't been able to talk to him all that much since I got to Australia, the time difference makes everything so hard and his work schedule makes it even worse "what you thinking bout" a male voice says in my ear- WHY IS HE SO CLOSE TO ME, I jump away from him once I notice who it is and look around to see where maya is and of course she is not there, and if it couldn't get any worse he's laughing at me, laughing
This dick is laughing at me, HES LAUGHING AT ME?!? "Asshole" I slap his shoulder, he grabs his arm saying "ow" as if it hurt so badly I glare at him and that's when maya walks in with snacks "chris leave my girlfriend alone" she sets down the drinks on the living room table and glares at the blonde male next to me and sits right in between us pulling me into her
Maya ends up turning on this thriller movie she's been talking about for weeks that she's been wanting to watch but apparently, lucky for me, she had left out the part that it was a horror thriller
I. Hate. Horror.
Did I hate it to the point I was hiding behind maya and hugging her... yes...embarrassing as it was I was, I'm such a pussy but at least my best friend was comforting me or the best she could with out letting out a giggle here and there, it was all in good fun made me feel a bit better but if the laughing at me hadn't bothered me at all it was probably the fact she ended up leaving me alone with her brother with the movie still playing, she said something about her being able to rewatch it later so it apparently didn't matter if she missed something, which I still don't get the point in her dying to watch it if she was just going to miss parts of it
Was I squeezing the life out of one of the couch cushions, I had nothing else to squeeze and cover my face with, do you blame me? This all felt like punishment for not intentionally checking out her older brother, curse you maya
"If the movie scares you so much you can...uh..you can hug me till maya comes back" I look up as he says eyes still stuck onto the tv which catches me off guard
Did he just tell me I can...hug...him..?
And as if the universe had the worst timing ever I get Jumpscared, I cave in and hug him, I will admit he's so comforting and warm i melt into him almost instantly, he adjusts just a little bit and rests his hand on my waist "is it okay if I leave my hand here? if not I can take it off" he asks almost immediately "it's fine" i mumble into his side hiding my face away from the gore happening on the screen in front of the two us
Seriously how can maya watch this stuff and sleep normally I'm going to have to watch some cartoons to fall asleep after this, yes I'm that much of a wuss, "guys I made some more popcorn" a bubbly voice sounds from behind and I move far away from the blonde male next to me, don't get me wrong I did not want to but I had too, "oh great the princess made more popcorn after eating the first batch all herself" maya throughs popcorn at her brother and sits back down between the two of us
"Did I miss anything?" How surprising she's asking if she missed something as if she wasn't the one that said not to pause the movie, I roll my eyes and give her a sarcastic "not at all" and excuse myself to head to bed, being fully honest I didn't care how little was left I couldn't stay one second longer

I sigh as I walk down the stairs towards the kitchen I couldn't for the life of me fall back asleep not even my little pony helped me fall back asleep
As I walk in the kitchen my eyes land on a figure sitting at the kitchen island the only light coming from his phone, I walk over to grab a cup to fill with water, maybe that'll help me out, "what's got you up so late?" His voice rings through the dark silent kitchen "can't sleep since your sister decided to watch a horror movie" I sip on my water and look at him, he stopped staring at his phone and was now staring back at me "why didn't you tell her you hated watching horror movies?" He asks genuinely "I don't know it's one of those things where you do it even though you'll hate every second of it" I answer sipping some water "but I will not be doing that again" I add and he chuckles there's a bit of silence before I speak again
"But uh thanks for comforting me earlier" I cut eye contact and start staring at the floor "yea it was no problem" he reply's his eyes going back onto his phone, I stand there in silence finishing my cup of water I couldn't get over how awkward it was but I also didn't want to make it more awkward so I finished up and headed up to Mayas room to try and fall asleep

Ok I might not have been able to fall back asleep until it was like 2 in the morning but as surprising as it is that's basically a normal night for me, horror movie aside, that's the main reason I hate getting woken up, it's hard for me to fall back asleep or get a good nights sleep
As I walked into the kitchen I heard Mrs. Bang talking with maya, "mooom come on, does Chris actually have to take us to uni tomorrow" Maya whines to her mom, what was this about Chris having to take us, I thought maya had a car
"Maya you are using his car and since he's back, he will be using his car no further discussion" as if she was reading my mind Mrs. Bang answers my questions, I walk into the kitchen greeting everyone except Chris who apparently was still, sleeping?
Maya and I or well I eat my brunch basically since it's borderline lunchtime, while we are talking Mrs. Bang had left to a meeting or something Maya told me but if I'm being completely honest I didn't pay much attention to what she was telling Maya as someone had come into the kitchen "hey Maya I'll be out till late going to meet up with some friends I haven't seen in a while, let mom know" he says messing with her hair and heading out the door, his hair was slightly damp and messy and he had this black tee on accompanied by a leather jacket and a silver chain around his neck I couldn't help but stare a bit
Or again being honest I did not know I was staring till Mayas voice started ringing in my ear "earth to y/n, earth to y/n" Maya waved her hand in front of my face "huh..what?" I stare back at her "did you even hear what I said" she crosses her arms while pouting I shake my head and scratch my arm, she lets out a sigh and repeats herself "if you wanted to go out?", "but doesn't your brother have the car?" I genuinely ask her "yea but the mall isn't that far from here, we can walk" i agree and go up to take a shower
I put on my outfit
And me and Maya head out to the mall

We had got back to Mayas house a bit late around almost 7pm and we were in her room ever since we arrived back, out of laziness I hadn't changed out of my clothes I wore to the mall, the two of us sat in her room talking about things and watching tiktoks and sending them to eachother
It was around 12am when I decide to go downstairs to get a glass of water before heading up to shower, as I was filling up my glass I feel some hands wrap around me, I really thought it was Maya till I remembered she was knocked out up I her room
I stiffen up until i hear his whiny voice, "you smell so good princess" he snuggles into the nook of my neck...

I have to catch up on my writing but I seriously don't have time depending on the days but I promise I will finish them!
