Wanda Maximoff looks at her scarlet wreathed hands in disgust. The devil wears red. Was her hand controlled by a hell spawn's will?
She wouldn't be surprised.
After all, 3 hours prior she'd brought a skyscraper to the ground. A landscraper now, she supposed. A broken chuckle escaped her lips.
30 dead.
60 casualties.
The accords wouldn't stand for it. The whole team had signed them, 3 weeks prior.
Ross was already sniffing around. Now he had an actual reason to and wouldn't pass it up.
What a mess.
She seemed to leave them in her trail. First, Sokovia... Pietro. She heaved a heavy sigh. Now this. Fingering her childhood "No1 sister" bracelet she let a tear slip for her silver haired sibling. She wished he were here. Someone to understand - if only a little. Her powers trembled on a daily. Mood swings, emotions, nightmares. Everything set off her powers. Periods were a bitch when she was normal (a word she could no longer relate to) now they were hellish.
She wished with her whole heart that she could just go back to the way things used to be. Her family alive and safe. Instead.... She was alone. Nobody can understand the power that strains her heart. Every. Single. Day.
"I wish... I wish I had someone to understand. Someone like me."
Little did Wanda know her wish was heard by a lonely, scarlet boy in a world similar, but not identical, to hers.
"Don't threat Mrs Scarlet. We won't be alone for much longer. I promise."
The boy's promise tickled the Scarlet girl's ears and she shook her head. Pinching her arm to rid her of the voice.
The devil temps her in mysterious ways.
