1pm.
Belle Rosalie woke up to the sound of birds chirping. Stretching, she searched for her phone and checked her phone calls.
Shit.
That important business call that would determine her future was at 12 , and of course she missed it.
"Hello , Mr Prolly , ever so sorry for the lateness of this call , I was just wondering if we could proceed with the discussion."
"About that Miss Rosalie, I'm afraid to inform you that your inconsistency including your lack of organisation and time management has led to the termination of your contract with this company."
"Wait- no sir you don't understand , I need this job. I thought I had progressed and we were looking at promotion.
"Promotion miss? I'm afraid that is far from reality, you have been slacking recently and we can not afford to tolerate that, so as of today you can find yourself unemployed."
She always found that snobby twat insufferable.
"Right , thank you for your call."
Belle sighed as she placed her phone down on her bedside cabinet. It's not like the job gave her a lovely amount of money anyway, she had been living in quite a petit apartment since she left there. However, she never regretted it for a second. She felt utterly useful in that world and this one. Belle Georgia was the most incapable human to walk this earth. Slowly, she laid back down and gazed at her ceiling, which was slightly decaying and cracking, causing little fragments of plaster to crumble to the floor. What was she gonna do?
Bang Bang Bang.
Who on earth was that?
Bang Bang Bang.
"Give me a minute!" she shouted as she entered her living room and strolled towards the front door.
She did not expect to see that face.
"Harry , what are you doing here?"
Harry Potter, looking like he hadn't slept in days, pale as a ghost , was at Belle's little London apartment.
"Belle, we need you."
"Harry what are you on about?"
"Can I sit down?" Belle rolled her eyes but gestures towards a chair and headed to the open plan kitchen to make a coffee.
"Brew?"
"Oh no thanks, I haven't got long and I'm not the biggest fan of coffee."
After making herself a drink, she headed back to her sofa and sat crossed legged.
"So Harry, to what do I owe this visit."
"There's been another war outbreak."
Belle almost spat out her coffee.
"Who wants to ruin the wizarding world now?"
"Kitty Thorne, she's made it pretty clear she's behind this all, she was in your year, right?"
"Crikey, never found Kitty as the viscous type." Belle chuckled to herself.
Harry stared at her , he obviously didn't find her humour amusing.
"Sorry, sorry, geez. So what's my involvement in this?"
"Come on Bee," the hairs stood up on the back of her neck, she hadn't heard the name since she decided to leave her old home.
"we need to gather our best fighters from the last war, we need you especially."
"Harry, the war was the whole reason I left that place you know that."
"Of course I do, but Belle we need you. I need you. Hermione needs you."
"I'm sure my sister considered me dead after I walked out on her." Belle muttered , picking at her nails.
"Listen Belle, sure there may be some rough patches back home, but there's no one like you there, we need the mastermind back, we need Belle Granger back."
Belle looked at the floor and decided to hold the silence for a bit longer.
"What about my life here?"
Harry looked around and snorted .
"Doesn't look much like a life to me."
"But I was useless there, 'Mione, you and Ron were always praised for good reason, obviously my involvement had a minuscule impact to many."
Harry sighed and placed his hand on Belle's knee.
"Belle Rosalie Granger, you were the youngest on that field but the brightest 14 year old we could've asked for. Yes people may not have noticed as much, but you were behind the scenes, you were the glue of the whole operation, without you we may not have won."
"Harry, that was 5 years ago, I'm useless now, I haven't picked up a wand since then, I haven't touched a broom or a spell book."
"Well now's the time to start again."
Belle rolled her eyes and for a minute tried to gather another argument.
"But-"
"Belle, please."
She sighed and nodded. Harry smiled and handed Belle her wand.
"Just like your sister you know. Still remember apparition?"
"I guess so."
"Oh and before we leave, there's one more favour we need to discuss when we get there."
"Oh merlin, what Harry?"
"Draco Malfoy." he muttered.
