In the twilight of the year
In the time of fear,
When the fire was gone
And there was no longer dawn,
He came to me in Eir
Wielder of the spear,
Lover of wild things
Not from halls of great kings,
OH man from Tellurium,
Who found me in the springs,
What anger welled within me
When you captured my heart,
It was to Anant a shock, and to me a blasphemy
Loneliness I never knew,
And pain I forsook,
That is till I met you,
Long I held you close
And even longer shall I love thee,
I brought thee in from the snows
And you brought me in from the peaks,
High we wrought our love,
The drums are booming,
The war is raging,
Curse the one from whom thy bane sprung!
In darkness taken and Devoured he shall be!
In the mountains death to him i sung,
And in the valleys our children are mourning,
To rest you have gone beside your kings,
In places of glory and honor you shall be held,
But Always you shall be in my mountain springs
Farewell beloved farewell,
If only all were well,
Farewell o dearest of my heart farewell,
If only I could leave this century of hell,
Farewell my love farewell,
If only we could tell,
Life is just a lie and to live we all must die.
