Carefully she loaded me into the back of their car and started to drive back to their house. In my pack connection i could hear my spirit brothers.

......Where the hell is that little creep.............

.......Tristan? Tristan? Where are you, you stupid pup?........

.......He's in Wolf form, I can feel his mind.............

I thought about not reaching out to them, but i decided that it would be better for my future to talk to them. After all, it would be childish not to.

Well, if any of you actually give a crap I've been hit by a speeding lorry. But of course you don't because you'd rather i was dead any way!- I projected angrily.

Tristan! this is no way to talk to us!- projected the Alpha- We are your spirit brothers, and we care enough to let you be in the pack!

Only because my true brother was in there, before he was killed. You pitied the little Were, all on his own. Well I can tell you now, I have found the Alpha Female! Or rather, she Chose me!

I shut out the angry voices in uproar and turned to look at the girl. She sat in the back with me, holding my head on her lap. This was surely the Alpha Female. And the fact that the scrawny runt had found her, when the Alpha had been searching for so long was unthinkable.

When we arrived at her house she carried me up the stairs to her room and set me on a towel on the floor. She smelt like the woods and Cinnamon, treacle and spices. She was by no means a skinny girl. She was what most people would call fat, which is why the Alpha hadn't spotted her yet, because he was still looking at each of the pretty blonds.

You could see, if you looked, that she was the Alpha Female, because each of this generation of the Wolf had the embedded memory of what this generations Alpha Female looked like. The eyes, the hair, the smile and her voice. It was certainly she.

"It's okay now, boy, you're home," she said to me, sitting on the floor by me, her legs crossed.

I looked at her and projected at her with all my might.

What is your name, Alpha Female?

She looked at me oddly for a moment, like she was worried.

"Did you- did you just say something?"

Who, me? No. I'm projecting. I would have thought that you of all people would know this?

"I don't understand, I'm probably just tiered. And my name is Misty."

She flopped back onto her bed and sighed heavily, "I must be delirious. I'm talking to a dog."

No, you're not tiered. And Misty is a good Wolf name. I'd bet your pelt is silvery, like the Great Wolf Spirit shows us, just like your name.

She sat up and looked at me.

"I don't believe you can send thoughts to me. Or even that you can understand me. If you're so smart, and can understand me, then go into my dressing table and get my hair brush."

I sighed, and got painfully to my feet. If it made her believe me, I'd do it. i hopped over to the dreesing table and opened each of the draws. Finlay i found the hair brush and hopped over to her and put it on her lap.

Now do you believe me? Please say you do, it really hurts to move too much, even with my accelerated healing. Oh, and my name is Tristan, in-case you are wondering.

She looked down at the hair brush, then up at me and said "Tristan, huh?"

I nodded my great shaggy head.

"What exactly are you, Tristan? A guardian Angel or something?"

No, I'm not that lucky. I'm a Were Wolf.

She looked at me oddly.

"So you're a dude,"

Yeah

"In my room,"

Yeah!

"Essentially naked."

Yea- No! No no no! I have lots of fur, you see, and that makes it alright.

"Uh huh" she said doubtfully, "If you are a Were, prove it."
