Emma and Alyssa

It was a cool October day in Edgewater, Indiana, Alyssa was in her bathroom putting her her in a high ponytail to prepare her for the game that night. Alyssa had made the varsity cheerleading square with two of best friends Kaylee and Shelby. Their friend Emma wasn't much of a cheerleader she was always quiet and the shy one of the group which Alyssa had always admired about her. A couple streets down from Alyssa Emma was having another fight with her mother about what Emma was wearing. "Mom, can you just let me be me" Emma said grabbing her stuff for school. "No, you were always like this you have all those skirts and dresses in the closet and you choose to wear jeans, flannel, sneakers, and that ugly hat." Emma's mom responded, " Some times I really worry about you Emma" Emma paused she knew that she was different she just didn't know how to put, but she felt whenever she was with Alyssa. "Mom, I'm fine I promise." "I just don't want you to be-" "Mom I promise I'm fine, I just don't like shaving my legs I cut easily that's all" she lied, "Alright go see your grandmother after school, okay" "okay,bye" Emma headed out the door before her mom could say anything Else to her and started her way to the bus stop. While walking to the bus stop recalling her and her mother's relationship the past year. The won't as close as they use to be. The two found themselves disagreeing with each other a lot more. Emma approached the best stop to see Alyssa standing there, in her cheerleading uniform. Alyssa turned around to see Emma was wearing baggy jeans a black graphic tee with a long sleeve Flannel, a black beanie and white high-tops. However Alyssa loved it, Alyssa knew she had feelings for Emma but she was worried about everyone around her and her mom god what would her mom think. Alyssa made her way over to Emma. "Hi, Em" Alyssa said in jolly tone that always made Emma feel warm inside"Hey" Emma said with a smile "are you coming to the game tonight?" Alyssa asked, "I'm not sure, you know I'm not a big fan of high school crowds" Emma responded, " Come on Emma I'm flying for the first time tonight and after wards we can get frozen yogurt" " Alright I'll go" "Pinky swear" Alyssa said like they were in 4th grade. "Pinky swear" Emma responded. Emma started into Alyssa brown eyes and her heart skipped a beat and at the moment she knew she wanted Alyssa Greene more than anything in the world. But what would happen if she got her?
