Josh was a young boy in the peak of his teenage years. He loved to hang out with his friends, flirt with girls and be a normal teenager.
How unlucky of him that he lived next to the Forest. Weird stories of children going missing near it, and dead, chewed up pets being found there. They all creeped him out but sadly he was one curious boy. And as we all know, curiosity killed the cat.
One day he came near the forest. He could feel its captivating grip on him. He felt.. As if it whispered sweet words of exploration and adventure to him. He hesitated until he couldn't bare its screaming in his head. He went in swiftly and all the voices stopped. The trees where as tall as mountains and their tops, so thick that barely any sunlight got through. The deeper he went in the more distorted and dreamy everything felt but he kept going. He walked and walked listening to the faint sounds of the Forrest getting louder as he walked deeper and deeper. He felt as if he walked in spirals, wanting to vomit, but kept going. It seemed as if he was walking for centuries when he noticed a cold breeze hit his back causing him chills, like no other. He heard faint steps come near him and he shuddered in fear and excitement. As he thought about what was awaiting him, he suddenly lost control of his mind. He went numb only thinking of one sentence again and again. Destiny is to be consumed by it.
Then he "saw" as if he could sence anything with his now numbed mind. A 3 meter tall creature with a Grey humanoid body, made of rotting flesh filled with infected bites and wounds overflowing with maggots consuming the dead material. It was a miracle it could stand up. As for its head it seemed to be a deer skull with antlers so huge, they. Could be mistaken for another animal. As it stepped near him he felt no fear, only acceptance. He could feels its gentle words of eternal torture and suffering settle in his mind, but he knew that was just his destiny, to be consumed and for his soul to suffer and distort under the influence of the creature for eons to come. And as it came right above him he knew its name
THE WENDIGO
Josh was never heard of again.
