Amelia Diwarudo was a normal woman. She had an repetitive job, and an mundane life. She would go out to drink on Wednesdays, Fridays, and the weekend. Her honey brown hair and chocolate brown eyes were nothing to be impressed by.
But one night, while she was asleep, Amelia gained an ability; She could tell if someone was lying or not. And not like reading body language, I mean like their aura would be different. An black aura meant they were telling the truth, and an white aura meant the opposite.
The next morning, she felt something was different, but she was confused on what it was. She woke up Jasmine, her wife of 6 months, up.
"Yes, dear?"
Jasmine asked, her light blonde hair and freckles showing in the sunrise shining through the white semi-transparent curtains. Her rose blue eyes were to die for. Amelia couldn't believe that her of all people got to be with Jasmine. She still got butterflies in her stomach when she saw her.
"Tell me a fact,"
She asked, aware that it could be taken out of context.
"Okay... um..... 2+2=4?" An black aura surrounded Jasmine, then disappeared.
"Now, tell me a lie."
"I hate you." An white aura did the same thing.
"Okay... wow..."
She said, looking at her hands for some fuckass reason.
"What, sugar?"
"Okay, so I can tell if you're lying."
"I thought everyone could?"
"No, like there's this aura that surrounds them for a second.. Black means they're telling the truth, and White means they're lying."
"Okay honey..." Jasmine said, smiling and going back to sleep. Amelia got up from the bed and got dressed, in a professional blue suit and went to work.
"Ok, be calm. Try this ability out some more, and see who's lying?"
