The real Flagstaff has always been a fascinating, albeit, sad story for me. A whole town evicted needlessly. There was a natural basin that could have been used for the Hydro-Electric power plant, but, for reasons unknown, they evicted an entire town, and flooded it. Nobody has ever explained why.
And finding information about this town - who lived there, and when - is scarce to come by. They were moved to a nearby town, and everything left behind was lost to history.
I decided that I wanted to use this ghost town as a location for my writings as a tribute to it's memory and so that more may know about it. The history here is fictional, as are the people. When I could, I used last names known to the area based on what I could find during my internet searches.
The rest I made up. Enjoy the story. Remember the people. Cheers.
