Delusions

Chapter 1 - Meeting

Andrea got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom for her morning poo. Ever since she was little she would always poo in the mornings. Andrea had no idea when or how this started, all she knew was if she didn't get her morning shit terrible things would happen.

As she brushed her teeth she thought she saw something move outside her window, but quickly brushed it off and to get dressed for the day. "Am I too stuck in my ways?" she thought to herself. Every day she would follow the exact same routine, never straying from the path even a little bit.

All that was about to change.

Andrea had barely finished her breakfast when she noticed how late she was for the bus. Out of breath from the running, she gave up halfway to the bus stop, she had no choice but to catch a ride with the next-door neighbor. She reluctantly took out her phone and texted him. Jared tf kinda name was Jared? Andrea stood and waited, a good distance from his house, she didn't want anyone to think she was associated with that loser.

Jared finally pulled up next to her. He greets her with a smile and opens the passenger seat door for her. Andrea scoffs and rolls her eyes "I can open my own door, thank you". She was usually a very polite person, but something about the way Jared and everyone else expects something to happen between them made her lose her temper.

Just because she was straight it didn't mean she was going to fall for every guy who was remotely nice to her. Come to think of it She had never actually fallen for anyone, probably cause all the guys she knew sucked ass.

Jared paused the radio and cleared his throat. "do you wanna uhm... do something after school today?" he asked cautiously. Wow, he really can't take a hint. Andrea took a deep breath and got ready to reject him, but for some reason, she felt bad for the guy. Was he her growing on her?
Not a chance. Either way, she told him she would think about it and watched as his face gleamed with anticipation.

As Jared parks in his usual spot in the school parking lot, Andrea almost trips over herself getting out of the car. She waves and fake smiles while half running to the main entrance.

"Hey! hold on" a voice says as she trips over her own feet, and is hit by a brief moment of panic before she is caught by an unfamiliar face. "uh- sorry" She hears. herself say still confused by the situation.

It was a tall girl with dark skin and short green hair. She had enough piercings to give her mom a heart attack, her makeup was messy but intentional. Andrea held her breath as she tried to form a sentence.

"Look where you're going, okay?" she said a little annoyed.

"Yeah, sorry" Andrea said looking at her feet. "I just-"

"I really don't care" The mysterious girl cut her off, walking away.

After that weird encounter, Andrea had a hard time focusing on her lessons. For some reason, she couldn't get the girl out of her head. She tried her best to focus on what the teacher was saying, but she found her mind wandering to unknown spaces. Usually, her mind was calm and collected she kept control even in there. Every once in a while she would lose control if only for a brief moment. Those were the moments she felt most afraid. Never afraid of her surroundings, but the storm in her mind she constantly fought to keep at bay.

The bell rang, marking the end of a long day. She had plans to meet up with one of her friends after school. She wasn't really feeling it today, still, Andrea walked slowly towards their usual meeting spot trying to collect her thoughts. Observing gray clouds forming in the distance she barely noticed her friend sneaking up behind her.

"Drea! there you are!" she plummets into her at the speed of light and pulls her into a tight hug.

Andrea pretends to be overwhelmed as she matches the hug and smiles behind her back.

"Hey, Camari" Whenever Andrea was with Camari her smiles seemed to stay a little longer. "excited to see me?" she says her smile turning into a smirk.
