The day my life changed was the day my mom came home from work with boxes and told me we would be moving to Japan. I didn't want to move especially not with her and especially not away from my grandma. My mom is a flight attendant so she is usually gone for long periods of time so my grandma took care of me. I was very close to my grandma because of this. It also happened to be the summer before I started middle school and I would have to start it in a completely different country.
From what I knew my mother always dreamed of moving to Japan and was in love with it so much she gave me a Japanese name. My name being Akiko, meaning Autumn child, because I was born in November. I mean I get it she's in love with Japan but making me go with her with no choice was not fair. It only took us two weeks to pack and move out. I couldn't stop crying the whole time. After we officially moved, I spent the rest of my summer locked in my room.
My mom enrolled me into Kitagawa Daiichi and she got a new flight attendant job in japan. My mom started work two weeks before I started school so I was finally able to be home alone and away from her. I missed my grandma and my friends so much. When summer was finally over and school finally started. I got up, got ready, and went to school. When I got there I decided to look for my class but I was completely lost. I was pretty fluent in Japanese cause my grandma had taught me when I was younger and we spoke it when we were together. After being close to giving up on finding my class I saw two upperclassmen. One had light brown hair and was very attractive and the other had dark brown hair. "Hello, do you guys happen to know where room 1-A is?" I asked them. They turned to look at me and as soon as the boy with the light brown hair looked at me his eyes widened. He proceeded to say, " Give me a name and I'll give you directions."
"Waters Akiko but you can just call me Akiko. And your names are?" I reply. He smiled, "I'm Oikawa Tooru and this is Iwaizame Hajime. Are you new here?". I was just trying to get to class, "Yea, and I'm trying to look for class 1-A." I answer. He was still smiling and was gonna say something when Iwaizume cut in,"follow me I'll show you to your class." he said. Finally, I thought. "Thank you," I said as all three of us began to walk. Oikawa seemed bummed for some reason. When we got to my class Iwaizume offered to show me around after class. I accepted the offer and thanked him. As I walked into class I heard Oikawa say, "Iwa-chan why'd you interrupt me earlier?! She's cute and I wanted to get to know her more!". I laughed as I walked into class.
Class felt like it would never end but when the bell finally rang I was so happy. I began to pack when Iwaizume and Oikawa walk in. "Hey Akiko!" Oikawa says, "ready for lunch?". I nod and we all walk off. We all ate together and they agreed to show me around until I got the hang of it on my own. After lunch, they lead me around for the rest of the day and by the end of the day we all actually ended up becoming friends. We exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes. I went home a lot happier than I thought I would. My first day was better than I thought it would be and I was actually excited for my second day of school.

Okay, I'm so sorry if the chapter is kinda boring and maybe confusing, This is my first fanfic and story on here and I'm kinda trying to figure out my writing style. I could use all the feedback I can get. I will make sure the next chapter is better than this one. Thank you for reading :)
