Chapter 1:

Freddie,

How are you? It's lonely without my bestfriend. I need you, I love you. Mum and Dad are holding up okay, Ron is....... He's not doing well without you. Luckily Harry's here to comfort him and keep him company. Percy is being strong and it doesn't seem he's effected by it too much. He cries every so often but when someone brings Fred up, he's gone. Ginny- Ginny, she's not okay without her two favorite brothers. (She told me that). The point is Fred, we all wish you could come back, why did you have to go, why why. And me, me, I still cry myself to sleep every night, Fred, I need you, I miss you and the family needs our twin jokesters back. I can't even go to the table and sit down and have a meal. Come back Fred.

"George honey!" Mom called for me. "What" I groaned. Rolled out of bed to get down stairs I come down and face mum. "You're a mess!" She shouted at me. I could see the pain in her eyes cause she knew I am a mess without my bestfriend. After all it had only been 3 weeks after Fred's- Fred's death. "I know mum it's- it's hard" I said quietly. "I get it but you have to eat!" I could tell she was worried about me. I sat down and ate a little bit but then went straight back to my bed. I was lying in bed looking at a picture I had next to my bed when I heard a knock. "Hey, George?" I heard Maddie say. Maddie was Fred's girlfriend and after Fred's incident, she's come to stay with us for the summer. "Hey Maddie." Wow even I sounded gloomy and depressed. "Sorry if I'm um- interrupting something but I just wanted to check in on you. I haven't, no one hasn't seen you in 3 weeks." Maddie came and sat next to me. "I'm proud of you Freddie! I'm proud of us." She smiled big. And for the first time in 3 weeks I smiled. 

Maddie stayed and we talked for hours and somehow, I forgot about Fred. I leaned on her shoulder and thought of the memories Fred, Maddie and I had. I looked up at her and it's like she knew exactly what I was thinking. "I know. I know the good times." She said. Maddie smelled like vanilla, wood and her favorite perfume. I could see the tears in her eyes and I took her hand in mine and held it there for a while until she got up and walked slowly to the door, walked out and shut it behind her. Tomorrow was first day of seventh year and I hoped Maddie was in more classes with me because while I'm in Gryffindor, she's in Hufflepuff with Cedric and Julia, her bestfriends. "Goodbye! I love you all!" Mum shouted to Ginny, Maddie, Ron, Percy and I as we got on the Hogwarts express. Ron, Maddie, Ginny and I sat with Harry and Hermione along the way. Malfoy decided to pay a visit but strangely, he only said hi to Maddie and smiled. Malfoy almost NEVER smiles. "Shove off Malfoy" Ron pointed his wand at him. "Okay, okay fine, I'll leave I just wanted to say hi to your little friend. Goodbye." Draco left. "He does this to me every year!" Maddie complained. Her voice was groany and I could tell she didn't like Malfoy. I'm glad because we don't need another Belly. Ginny would be furious. 

"Here we are!" Ginny said excitingly. Ginny's had a lot of stress on her lately with Fred, and Harry but going back to her second home makes her so happy. "I'll race ya to the boats!" Maddie said to me and took off. "Oh yeah, well I'll beat you!" We were both running at full speed and met Luna at the boats. "So, who won the annual race to the boats this year?" Luna asked us. "This time, Maddie won." I told Luna out of breath. Maddie and I were panting as we ran all the way to the boats and had to run with out trunks. It took Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny like 2 more minutes to get over but we could use the time. We lugged out stuff onto the boats and headed to Hogwarts. 

Hi! Please read. Just know that I am pretending Fred died in 6th year and this does not follow the actual Harry Potter story line, and I'm adding characters.
