Only one window is still lit, in the pack house. None other than the strong, yet unlikely, alpha of this particular pack spent his nights doing paperwork. 'What's wrong with this alpha?' You might ask, absolutely nothing.

The lit candle at the corner of the work desk was almost out of wax. a pen scribbling across multiple pieces of paper, it being the only sound.
Jack's hard stare practically burnt holes into the parchment. A clear soft sigh of exhaustion breaking the silence. The pen being set down "I need some sleep". He mumbled tiredly. Blowing out the candle the room went dark, and he left his office. Every step taken was meant to be quiet, but the old floor was making Jack's patience wear thin. Cursing under his breath he continues to go down the dark hallway and to the left, finding his bedroom.

No one would ever respect him as alpha if they found him out what he really is. So Jack went through this routine every day to conceal his secret. If someone found out what he truly was, an uprising would happen, and the he certainly didn't want that.
He was known for one thing, and that was the lack of second chances. No matter the reason, if the Alpha saw them as guilty for it, they're already dead. There were just a few rules that alpha suggested (more like ordered) that everyone who lived in the pack Moon Haven had to obey. This was one of the deadliest.

"This is getting ridiculous, Alpha" His Beta, Cameron, says in a clearly annoyed tone as he taps his foot on the floor. He leans his body against the wall next to the Alpha's door. "Every morning is the same thing, you wake up early, only to be late for breakfast and end up missing it.
You're a grown man and I still have to watch over you like a new born pup." The door opens, cutting of Cameron's complaints. "And every day you make the same damn rant about it, and I prove you wrong every time, so let me be late, alright?"
The growl at the end of his sentience made his words more threatening. "Sorry Alpha, it's just-" "Just what?! What's so important that I'm being bugged more than usual by you Cameron!?" His Beta could have sworn pain was in his superiors eyes, almost like he knew what day it really was.
Jack was lead by his trusty and loyal Beta down the white hall. An occasional small shelf adorns the sides of the hall, all having something typical. A picture of the Alphas family that seem to age down as they walked. Or one of a kind vases. Yes, indeed this pack is well off when it comes to wealth as well as power. Him being the only one left sense the big tragedy happened nine years ago. Cameron was the first one to break the metaphorical ice. "Do you know what day it is or not?"
Jack's fingers find the beginning of his chocolate brown hair, and started to go through it in annoyance and concentration. "Yes, I know what today is, I have to get everything ready for day after tomorrow as well." Cameron crosses his arms over his chest as his mind is thrown into deep thoughts. "I know this is hard for you Alpha." He chooses his words carefully for the next time he spoke and started to look down.
"Your turning 27 in a few months and that only means the time to find your mate is coming to an end." But, that's not what he's worried about, Jack knows who he is and girls never really caught any of his attention. He will never tell but he does want to find his mate, and soon, at best.
"I worry about your wolf you know." His beta spoke up kicking Jack back into his hopeless reality he'd come to know. Descending the stairs, they head to the large dinning room. It also having the same plain white walls and expensive, one of a kind vases on there well made now stands, not tables. "I know you do Cam, but me AND my wolf are perfectly fine" he scoffs.
"Why would the most feared alpha on this side of the country need such a thing in the first place? I find it more of a curse or even a weakness then a need" Cameron rolls his eyes knowing him better then that. Jack always had this thing of when he gloated about himself it made him feel better, in situations such as this one. Something is clearly being weighed down on his shoulders with what he just said. They head to there spots at the large table in the center of the dinning room being next to each other.
Jack's chair being gold while Cameron's was silver and on a smaller scale. Beta sits next to Alpha on the right side and the Luna would be set to the left. Then the beta's mate sits next to the beta naturally.
"Speaking of mates, where is Lexie?" inquired Jack to his Beta. "she's just late as always Alpha, nice eye roll you got there by the way" teased Cam as he saw the action, clearly directed towards him. The doors to the kitchen swing open as on-trays of food are set in front of them. Things on silver trays where placed in front of them in a large verity, some being restaurant choices to others being things so simple as a grilled cheese sandwich.
The waiters now exit the room with a respectful bow. "Sorry I'm late!" a girly voice shattered the calmness. Heels clicks on the floor as Lexie went to peck her mates cheek before sitting beside him. Dressed in a simple sky colored blue dress that frilled around at the bottom when she moved.
She always liked to show off with her bubbly nature and the energy of a pup. Lexie always seems to brighten any situation with a joke of some kind. Can't say Jack would of put them together at all. Can't say he wouldn't either, they seem to complement each other by being the complete opposite.
"how did you sleep my sweets?" chuckled Cameron at her jumpy behavior. She gives him a thumbs up her already digging into a pile of pancakes, her mouth full. Cameron is always uptight and strict while as Lexie (as anyone can tell by now) is antigenic and childish. Even there looks where complete opposites.
They bring the best out of one another. Found each other a little over two years ago, her being a rouge to a pack far from here, and stumbled into our territory to stock up and leave again. But the Moon goddess had other plans regarding her.
