Back In Time *Regulus Black*

The First Meeting

Authors Note: Hey guys, I've just gone onto the story and I've noticed that the first two chapters have been swapped around. This was supposed to be the second chapter and the one after this was supposed to be the first. Sorry if there has been any confusion and I will try and fix it. 

The order goes The Reappearance of RAB and then The First Meeting.

Regulus Black had never felt something like this before. He felt nervous, terrified but also calm. He didn't understand what was going on around him as Dumbledore and the other boy who he learnt  was his big brothers best friends son, who both were dead. He didn't mean to eardrop on the conversation that they were having but he couldn't help himself. 

"Where's he going to go?", Harry asked. Regulus was asking himself the same question. 

"I've got a friend", Dumbledore replied. Regulus became even more nervous, who was this friend? How long would he be staying with this friend?

"We'll have to apparate", Dumbledore announced as they exited the cave. Regulus felt the cool air rush against him, he couldn't help but smile at the smell of the salty ocean. 

"Where are we going?", Regulus asked.

"You'll be staying with an old friend", Dumbledore announced," Just until we figure out a plan". 

"Do they know we are coming", Regulus asked. Dumbledore smiled at the boy. 

"She likes surprises", He said eventually. Regulus turned to Harry, who had a concerned look on his face. Dumbledore put both arms out, the two boys grabbed a hand each. Regulus had been used to the feeling, the same couldn't be said for Harry. The poor boy crashed to the ground as they landed. 

Dumbledore was becoming more and more weaker as the time went on as they walked through the empty street. Both boys keeping him up as they went. They came to the last house on the street, it was a dark brown brick, two-story house. Plants littered the front garden of all types of flowers. 

Dumbledore creaked open the small gate, limping on the stone footpath. Knocking on the door three times, he stepped back and waited. They could hear light footsteps coming to the door, Regulus could feel himself getting more nervous. The door creaked open, Harry gasped from next to him. 

"Harper", he said quickly as he hugged the girl. Regulus was shocked as he stared at the girl in front of him. When Dumbledore said an old friend, he thought he meant someone of the wizards actual age. Not a girl who looked just out of school. 

"Hey Harry, Dumbledore", she nodded at the wizard, her gaze switched to Regulus," Who's this?". 

"This is Regulus Black", Dumbledore said," Mr Black this is Harper Alton". Harper put out her hand, he stared at it for a couple seconds before shaking hers." I've come to ask a favour", Dumbledore said. 

"Yeah, yeah off course", she said," Come in, come in. Its freezing out here". The four walked into the girls lounge room that had a roaring fire going. Regulus had not noticed how freezing he was. Harper quickly left the room in a rush, they could hear her digging around in a draw. She eventually came back with some blankets, handing one to each of the men. 

Regulus was surprised at her kindness, she had not just let the three of them into her house this late at night but she had also gotten each of them a blanket. He was not used to this. 

"So, what do you need, sir", she asked him. 

"I think before that, we need to tell you something", Dumbledore went on to tell the young girl about the cave. In this time, Regulus couldn't let his eyes wonder around the room. His eyes travelled across the grey lounges to the brick fireplace. She had photos resting on the walls and on shelves. Her coffee table had a empty mug and an open book that he was sure she was reading before they came. 

His eyes wandered to the girl, who was listening deeply to what Dumbledore was telling her. She had light brown hair that curled down her back. She had green eyes that had the reflection of the roaring fire in them. Her eyes met his, he could feel a blush rise in his face when she gave him a smile. He smiled back but looked down at his hands, playing with his fingers. 

"Mr Black is in the need for a place to stay for a little while. Could he stay with you", Dumbledore asked. Regulus was embarrassed, he felt like a child. 

"Yeah off course he can", she said. Regulus was grateful for her. He looked back up at her, she gave him a slight nod before looking back at Dumbledore." Would you two like to stay for the night?" she asked Harry and Dumbledore. 

"Oh no Miss Alton, we have to get back to school", Dumbledore said. 

"Are you sure?", She asked," Your very weak right now sir, you can rest up here if you like". 

"I'm sure", Dumbledore stood from his seat," Come along Harry, Mr Black and Miss Alton should probably get some rest". 

Regulus stood from his seat, following them to see them off. Dumbledore rested his hand on the younger men's shoulder." You'll be okay Regulus, Harper's a lovely girl. She'll keep you safe". Regulus turned to the girl who was laughing with Harry. 

"Yeah", he said to his old headmaster. 

"You can trust her", Dumbledore said calmly," I promise". 

Regulus nodded, Harry came over to him while Dumbledore went over to talk to Harper. 

"She's amazing", Harry said," She plays quidditch, the only person who could catch the snitch before me". Regulus smiled at that. He really was just like James. 

"You play Quidditch?", He asked the younger boy.

"Yeah, seeker", Harry said proudly. 

"Same", Regulus replied," So she's a seeker too?". 

"Yep", Harry nodded," She's amazing". 

"Come along Harry", Dumbledore said as he limped down the stairs. 

"I'll see you soon", Harry said to Harper and Regulus. They watched as they apparated away, Harper turned to Regulus. 

"I'll show you too your room", She said stepping back into the house. He felt comfortable walking through the house, a soft smile was on his face as he followed the brunette.
