Joy Over Fear (Aella x Hawks)

Aella was quietly stargazing at her place, where she is surrounded by the rather happy noises of her siblings. The window was open and she was looking at the nightsky from it. Her silence and longing nature for seeing the stars closer is obvious. But, she had one problem: she had a fear of heights and she still struggles to overcome it. She sighs as she stayed by the window longingly, bits of her hair falling from her face to in her eye. Vihaan, who would notice Aella's longing expression, decides to text Hawks of the situation. "Hey Hawks. This is Vihaan Alano, the brother of your...ahem, crush. I want to ask you if you could help my sister fulfill her wish. You see, she wants to see the stars up close. But, she's afraid of heights. I feel like you could help her learn to get through the fears and help her achieve her dream. Do you think you can do it?" The text said. It took a minute until a reply came. "Yeah, sure. I can do that. Coming now." Vihaan gets a sweatdrop as he decides to make a silent run for it to not make anything obvious that he actually texted him. Aella sighs as she continued staring, but, she sees a familiar being fly towards the place. She recognized the red wings anywhere. "Wait...Hawks?" She whispered out, surprised. She gets up from her window and fixes her outfit, now having a wave of nervousness course through her body. She wasn't in her school uniform for once, but, in a purple t-shirt, a leather jacket, black yoga pants, and simple ankle high black boots. Her hair was also differently designed, her hair being in a full braid. She closed her window and felt panicked. "What should I do, what should I do...?" She says to herself. Then, a couple knocks was heard on her door. She takes a couple deep breaths. {Take deep breath...Just stay calm. Even though that sounds impossible...} She thinks as she walks to the door. "Oooooo!! Someone's at the door! I wonder who it is!" Kane exclaims from the couch curiosly and energetically. "Hopefully, not our parents..." Yvonna says worriedly while by Kane as well. Aella takes another deep breath. "Both of you, it's okay. I'll answer the door. You both head to your rooms." She says. Kane grins cutely. "Alright, big sis!" He says as he salutes. Then, he jumps away to his own room. Yvonna nods shyly before getting up and walking away to her room as well. Aella sighs in relief after they left, then, she opens the door. And, sure enough, Hawks was there. "Hey Hawks. What brings you here?" She asks calmly. Her eyes showed surprise by the fact that he's standing before her, and a blush spread across her face. {He's...Ack, why is he so handsome!?} She panicked in his mind. "Hey. I came to ask you about something." He said. Another wave of nervousness went through her body as her heart started to race. "Wait...w-what do you mean?" She asks. Hawks sighs as he places his hands behind his back in a chill, relaxed way. "So, I talked with your brother and he told me of how you wanted to see the stars in the sky up close. Am I right?" Vihaan, from his room, facepalms as he realizes. {Shoot, forgot to tell him to not tell Ael! Well...too late now.} He thought. Aella gave a glance to where Vihaan ran off to, but her eyes went back to looking at Hawks as she nods. "Yeah...what about it?" She asks. "Well...heard you can't really do that due to your height fear. So...I wanted to ask if maybe, I can help you out with achieving that dream of yours." He says. Aella's eyes widened in surprise as her cheeks flushed bright red, unable to speak a word. {Hang on...He couldn't mean possibly flying with HIM, right? Holy shit, should I say yes? Or should I say no? But...perhaps if I do this with him, not only would I possibly be able to move past the fear, but, I could confess to him. I think it'll be worth the risk.} She thought out in her head. "So...is that a yes or no? Would you mind if I helped you?" He asks again. Aella shuts her eyes flustered, realizing she didn't speak. Then, she gains the courage to look up at him and nod firmly to his words. "Y-Yes, I'll allow it." She says, her voice stuttering from her flusteredness. {Nice going, idiot...} She argued to herself as she brushes her bangs out of her face. He steps out the doorway, but, he holds the door open for her to actually enter out. "Thank you, Hawks." Aella says as she walks outside after him. The two look around as they walk along the driveway. "So...are you sure you're ready?" He asks. She nods to his words. "I'll do my best to stay calm." A small grin forms upon his face as he picks her up in his arms. A yelp escapes her lips as she instantly wraps her arms around his neck, becoming panicked. "Ack, never mind! I'm already panicked!" She exclaims. Hawks chuckles as she held the girl. He spread out his wings. "Hey, kid. Just calm down. I'll wait for ya." He says as he watches the young girl try to breathe, having a worried look in his eyes. She takes deep breaths and calms down a couple minutes later. "A-Alright, I think I'm calmer now. Can...Can we please try and be careful?" She asks, looking up at him worried. "Hey...I'll do what I can." He replies as he flies up from the ground, trying not to be too sudden. Aella stares at the ground as she feels the breeze blow through her hair as they fly up. She looks up at the sky, then, she looks at Hawks' expression. The lights from the buildings dimming as they fly higher causes a curious spark in her eyes. {He's...genuinely so mysterious.} She thinks. She feels the wind blow through her hair as she closes her eyes. "Do you feel less afraid, kid?" He asks. She nods. "Yes, I'm actually not as afraid." Aella replies as she smiles. When she opens her eyes again, her eyes widen in complete awe. The stars shone so brightly and, as she hoped, she felt like she was closer to the stars in a way. A bright smile forms upon her face. "Wow......" She whispered. Hawks chuckles as he watches her expression, a blush flushing across his own face. {Her eyes, her expression...all so beautiful.} He thinks. Then, he looks up at the sky too. They stared at the stars above them, flushed cheeks and smiling, yet no one realizes each other's blushes. After a good 10 minutes of staring, they fly down. "Was that good for you, Aella?" He asks. The moment Aella realizes he actually said her name, that blush returned, a fiery red shade upon it. "Y-Yes, it was. Thank you so much for helping me, Hawks." She says as she nods frantically to hide her embarrassed face. The two look at each other in the eyes as he examines the blonde girl's face. "Your face is flushed. You okay?" He asked. Aella takes a deep breath. {Now or never. Now or never.} She thinks twice in her head. Then, she kisses him right on the lips. Hawks becomes stunned as he landed on the ground with him, his cheeks burning a bright red himself. Aella pulls away flustered as she stares at him. "I-I'm so sorry, I---" Then, he cuts her off guard by kissing her on the lips. While surprised, she closes her eyes and kissed back. It lasted for a good sweet moment before they pulled away for air. But, they smiled like idiots. "Love you...baby bird." Hawks says with a smile. "Love you too, Hawks...I love you too." Aella replies with a smile.
