My name is Y/n Malfoy. Yes, the daughter of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, and sister of Draco, but there's a difference between us. Well, let's just start from the beginning.

Ever since I was tiny, I never had a life full of love. My father was abusive and never showed that he cared. He pressured me into being the best of the best, wanting me to live up to him one day. I would never speak up for myself, but when it came to Draco, I would yell, but only to get me hurt more

Mother was nice to me, but would never do anything about father. She was secretly scared of him, and I know that, but she would help me if I would ever draw blood, or get a bruise.

Draco and I were always close, even though he can be the most annoying person I have ever met. We grew up trying to protect each other. I was always there for him when he got hurt, learning a new spell, and even taught him how to fly a broomstick.

But that was all ruined the day I went to Hogwarts. I was excited to leave my father's wrath, but disappointed I was leaving Draco. So when I was dropped off, I said good-bye to Draco and got on the train and sat in an empty compartment.

That's when two very similar red-heads open the door while one of them says, "Can we sit here?" I look them up and down, and nod, knowing that there would probably be no more seats left.

They both sat down across from me, and I stared at them intently. "I'm Fred Weasley," the one on the right says.

"And I'm George Weasley," the other one says.

"We're twins," they both say in unison.

"You wouldn't say," I say, rolling my eyes. "I'm Y/n Malfoy."

"Pleasure," they say together again, holding out their hands. I look at them strangely, and cautiously shake their hands. I try to ignore them for the rest of the ride, just looking out the window enjoying the view.

I decided to put on my robes, and then finally we arrived at Hogwarts. We got off the train, and met a tall man named Hagrid. He led us to the boats to take us across the lake to Hogwarts. Of course I was stuck with the Weasley twins, and their enthusiasm made me want to barf. But I do have to say, the view looks beautiful.

We rowed all the way up to the school, where we entered through the main entrance. That's when Professor McGonagall started to talk to us.

"Welcome to Hogwarts first years. Now in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin," she says, and I smirk when she says my family's house.

"Now, while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points, any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house awarded with the most points will win the House Cup," McGonagall finishes.

She leads us to the Great Hall where we find all the older students from all the houses. We walk up to the front where we start sorting into our houses. "Y/n Malfoy," McGonagall announces my name.

I walked up to the stoll and sat down, looking out to the other first years. George and Fred smile at me, and I smile back, warming up to them. I hope they get put into Slytherin with me. Professor McGonagall places the hat on my head, and the sorting begins.

"Hmm, a Malfoy. Haven't seen one of them in a while," the Sorting Hat says, and I smirk. "No, this one is different than the others. Has more grit, but could be put in both Slytherin and Gryffindor." My eyes widen when they say that, and I start to pray everything will be alright.
