where to start, well swindfield.

a tiny but big town. full of life and happy people. at least what they heard of it. the Choi family moved to swindfield after deciding to give their life a new start. and to give juniper Choi better education for her to study what she loves. swindfield wasn't that far away from their old town, but it was perfect to start.

to new beginnings.

in the middle of July the Choi family made their way into swindfield. juniper, an only child with a lovely mother moved into a little townhouse near the high school and the plaza. the house was very new and they didn't have to paint anything, perfect to settle right in. they got in and started furnishing their furniture and unpacking.

I looked outside my bedroom window, I got the master bedroom of the house. we got 3 bedrooms. one is going to be for my art and books. we won't get any visitors so a guest bedroom isn't needed. swindfield is very pretty. it got a nice rustic feeling. I saw a lot of teenagers around my age walking around the plaza and having fun. this seemed like a good place to make friends. I was excited. the sun was blooming and warming up the cold stone on the ground. on the plaza, there was a fountain. I could hear the splashing water. it was nice.

I got to help my mother with furnishing the house and settle in. we went to the market for some food and ate dinner. I was happy with my mom. she was my rock. we have been through a lot but we always have each other. I'm grateful for that. once in a week ill sit down with her to talk about life and talk things out. It's nice to have such a strong connection with my mom. she knows everything.

I went to bed smiling knowing I was going to be happy here. it was the night before my first school day and to be honest I wasn't even nervous. I know everyone is nice around here and I'm sure I can fit right in.

the next day I got dressed nicely, ate breakfast. packed my bag and headed out. the school was across the plaza, so it was walk distance. walking around the town felt very safe and peaceful. it was so beautiful. until someone bumped me while he was running. I received a quick sorry and he ran off. he got followed by a guy with a knife? hm yes very safe. I got into school and got to my class. I was early so I sat down. I met the teacher and she seemed very sweet.

the school is very beautiful. pretty old but it's good old. very rustic feeling but in a good way. the class began to fill but they didn't look up to me. I figured they knew a new person came. it actually helped with the nerves, like I wasn't there.

I looked at everyone. very different people. I like variation. a lot of cultures are good.

the class started normal. it went very well. a girl kept looking at me from a distance. i didn't think much of it. I get it im new. and I'm a redhead. something you don't see a lot.

after the class, she came to me. someone interrupted her and took her out of the class. i walked out with confusion. im okay with that. no confrontation the first day. the next 3 periods went well. got some stares. nothing new.

I sat down by a cute little window bench. lunchtime, finally. I watched all the students go by. I recognized the 2 boys that bumped into me. the one seems quite nice. he looks smart. the other one. eh. he seems the opposite. I also saw the girl from the first period. she seems wealthy. she got nice clothes, a lot of friends and a lot of attention. time passed and i went to my last period.

it went very fast and after class, a boy came up to me. the boy from lunch. the smart-looking one.

'i think this is yours' he said with a smile handing me my notebook.

'yes. thankyou' i took it and smiled in relief.

'im alexander barney, you're new right?'

'yes, I am. juniper Choi, nice to meet you'

we walked out of the school together having a little chat.

'well thank you again for my notebook. Good luck with the knife boy. he seems dangerous'. why did I bring this up. I sound like a stalker.

'oh yeah, that's Arden don't worry he won't stab you. and no problem I will see you tomorrow' he smiled and waved.

I walked home, this wasn't a bad day.

alexander barney. interesting. my first friend, I think.

I went home telling my mom about my day. she was happy for me. I was happy. It's already going well. I wrote some last notes before sleeping.

to new beginnings.
