I was inspired to write Twisted Fate from a contest idea presented by @TriciaDehler within The Golden Writer Writing Contest. You can find it in the link here: https://www.wattpad.com/955778623-the-golden-writer-writing-contest-story-idea-6. I found this idea quite interesting and after typing out what first came to mind, an idea was formed for the creation of this story, and is still blossoming both in my mind and on my computer screen.
Why did I title the story Twisted Fate? Well, I was actually at a loss of what the title should be at first. I was going to title it Rose Red, after the main character. Then, I was going to title it Lost Within the Woods, and then... well, you get the idea. I went through a whole list of ideas in my head, scratching each one out. I knew I wanted the subtitle A Retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, which got me thinking of the movie Hood Winked as well as the 2011 movie Red Riding Hood. Both of those movies retold the story of Little Red Riding Hood, only in a different way. While they both stayed on track with the original storyline for the most part, it had twists to it. That got me thinking of this story and how I plan on twisting the tale. And within the musical Into the Woods, it was fate how all the people met one another on their quests. And that's how the title, Twisted Fate, was created.

Not everything that was said truly happened. And not everything that truly happened was said. This is not just a tale of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. No. This is far more than that. This is Twisted Fate.
