SYNOPSIS.
Romane Serre wasn't always like this.
She used to be alive, for one. Well, she was still alive technically. But dreams aren't for the living, and the constant nightmares she was used to had suddenly dissipated into sullen sweetness. The constant terrors of the living were in stark contrast to this dream...
And she could slumber in it forever. How had she gotten here? Serre couldn't remember, but all she knew was that she would never want to leave such a charismatic place. There was something in the back of her mind, constantly irritating her. Yet, she couldn't bring it in her to figure it out.
All she wanted to do was rest. In this small tea shop run by this very handsome man. She could take a sip of her honey coloured beverage and rest. For once in her life, she would be able to without worry or fear etched into any of her features. Still, living inside your dreams is a luxury so little of the populace has. It was, quite literally, too good to be true.
Romane could hardly recall her life outside of this one. Of this dream? This nightmare? She didn't know the difference anymore. Days seemed to blur into weeks. Weeks blur into months. And months blur into years. Suddenly. Slowly. Time stops still? Or has it never even begun to move?
All her thoughts are incoherent.
She doesn't know anymore...all she knows is that she could stay in his arms forever. Even if he isn't there, even if this is all a dream. Maybe that makes her selfish, and maybe she's okay with that.

NOTES.
December 25, 2020 I haven't written anything in so long, so I guess I tried out a new writing style for my summary???? I don't know I'm tired, and I needed to upload this today - like at this point I don't care if there are any spelling mistakes I'll come back to fix them one day...
Anyway, this is for my husband Levi Ackerman, it's his birthday today (and he is so precious so yknow I had to write him a fic). Also random but goal for myself: if I get this fic to 10 chapters I'll drop my Sasha fic too??? I don't know, don't hold me accountable for that.
Little explanation: this is a little tea shop au, Romane is dreaming it (i don't wanna give up too much of the plot so I'll leave it at that). I just wanted to write something incredibly soft for him, it might get a little angsty but it's mainly fluff I guess.
(I'm sorry if I missed anyone for dts, pretty sure I got everyone but like, my eyes are so tired right now BSKWKWKWKMWD IM SORRY).
I hope you guys enjoy this, I'll probably try to publish a chapter later today when I wake up again, whoops?
April 22, 2021 Okay hello again? I'm just writing a quick little note as to why I had originally unpublished this fic (along with my other ones) but after I started writing my OC I decided that the face claim didn't quite fit the vibe I had going so I decided it was best to scrap having a face claim at all (or else I would come up with a completely different plot that I would also never update).
And also instead of making a Sasha fic I just decided to make this a mikasasha au of sorts (because they're cute and I originally wanted to write something cute and fluffy so why not it fits the bill yktv).
Sorry for all the rambling, my author's notes are always way too long but if you read this all, thank you <3
