The second hand ticks slower, and slower. Thirty seconds till summer vacation, everyone is at the edge of their seats. Tick, tick, tick, I look at everyone around the classroom, thinking, see ya suckers! I will not miss them at all! Ding, ding, ding, everyone runs up to the door like a herd of cows. I run up there myself, but pushed out of the way by the school bully, Blake.
"Whatch it nimrod," he says, "I got here first!" Blake is the quarter back for the school football team. Everyone treats him like a king.
"Uhhh," I say back, feeling stupid.
"Thought so." He chuckles back. So when he walks through the door I walk out too. I walk to my locker, number 187, and put in my books and take my SpongeBob backpack. I know I'm in middle school and I shouldn't have anything to do with SpongeBob, but it's original and I don't want to be like anyone else, all snooty, spoiled. Then Alice walks by with her golden hair and her blue eyes, I always had a crush on her since 1st grade .When I walked out out of the school I noticed that it was hotter than usual.
"Hey, Zack!" Shouts Mrs. Denson.
"Hello!" I shout back.
"Have a great summer vacation!" I nod and start walking.
I open the door to my house and my mother automatically says,
"How was school?"
"Fine." I say back, what else are you supposed to say about school? My dad's not here because he is on a business trip. I walk past the picture of my Grandpa Zack, that's were I got my name.
"I'm going to the store, need anything?" My mom says. I suddenly knew the answer,
"Yeah, how about some chips!" I say, I always loved chips.
"I will see." She says rolling her eyes and walks out the door. I am finally home alone so I can play video games in peace. The games I have are Halo, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and a bunch of others.
So after I play my video games it's about 4:00 and I turn the news on. There was something about the heat,
"Be sure to put sunscreen on, ha ha ha!" The news man says. I get up to get a snack out of the kitchen and that's when I look outside and a big thing from the sky come toward the earth and I run to the living room and the news man says,
" Take cover now this is serious take...." And the screen goes static and the wall bursts and an explosion comes after it.
