What..are you?

Now I understand that you guys might be wondering why I called the girl Scarlett but when I said her name at the end it was Charlie. I'm going to be referring to her as Charlie from now on but you'll find out later in the story why her name is Charlie instead of Scarlett. Her real name is Scarlett Nightmare though and you'll see hints of her backstory and why she changed her name throughout the story. Otherwise, enjoy!! Also thanks you for 5 reads!! "I don't remember asking but I'm Charlie" she says with a frown.

"H-hey I'm kind of new here, do you know anywhere I could pick up a small job?" Charlie answers her and is about to leave when lily stops her and they exchange numbers.

There's something different about this girl Charlie thinks with a start.

Time skip to 2 months later

Charlie's in her house just lighting her fire place when she hears a knock on her door. "Its open!" She yells. A small figure walks in and greets Charlie with a small smile.

" hey!! How have you been? "

"Oh! Hey lily, you might be wondering why I called you over but since we've known each other for a bit, I figured we should have a talk..about our powers."

" O-our powers? " lily says tripping over her words.

Charlie has an almost grim expression on her face and Lily appears to be very upset about the topic.

"I guess I'll start," Charlie says in a kind of grumpy way. " I'll show you my form first though. "

Charlie closes her eyes and suddenly flames start crawling up her arms, changing her appearance with it. She was already wearing her typical rose eye patch with a few chokers, and some black jeans. She was also wearing a plain white t-shirt  and a red  leather jacket. But as the flames continued throughout her body, lily stood there petrified wondering how her friend seemed unhurt. When the fire stopped, Charlie appeared almost a new person. "W-what are you?" Lily said and Charlie knew it was time to explain.
