Taking Back What's Ours

The Beginnings

Scarlett was walking home from her mediocre job at a simple pizza place. She hated the place she lived in. Scarlett lives in a world where angels and demons are real, and they roam the realm. However, the town  known as EqualPath has recently been changed to AngelPath. Equal began as a place where everyone could live as equal and people would walk the same streets and have children from both an angel and a demon. Those children usually came out to be exceptionally strong. Then, the angel king and the demon king met in secret and soon a war broke out. The demons had a lesser army and they lost the war. King Lucifer backed down respectfully thinking it was a fair battle and accepted defeat. But the angel king, who's name is too powerful to be spoken of, we shall refer to him as the Lord or the king. Well, he had a trick up his sleeve. He send an army of angels to put a spell on some of the stronger demon warriors so they would be incapable of serving their side in the war. Maybe our angel king isn't as angelic as we might think.

Scarlett shoves her gloved hands into her pockets and huffs the cold air out from her lungs. She had a black hoodie on over blood red leggings. Of course her hood was up and she was wearing a mask with a sharp teeth design on it to cover up what was underneath. But thats a story for another time. Along with her other obvious punk accessories, she had on an array of chokers and piercings that made her look quite intimidating from the outside.

Ugh..Scarlett thought..stupid cold weather..I should hurry and get home before- she's snapped out of her thoughts when she bumps into a petite girl who looked about her age, but she had a very different expression from Scarlett. The girls  face twists when she sees the clothes that Scarlett had on, but not in a judgemental way, more like..she was jealous of her fashion.

She herself had on a black and white striped shirt with a white fuzzy sleeveless vest on overtop. She was also wearing black leggings and white ankle boots. To top it off she had in snowflake earrings and light makeup.

Scarlett steadied herself but the girl fell back into the snow underneath with a loud "hUumph". Scarlett looked down at the girl inspecting her and immediately judged her. Another wannabe angel just aching for attention eh? She thought to herself with a smirk. The girl looked up at Scarlett with sad eyes. "O-oh sorry" she says with a obviously fake smile. Scarlett is not really one to help others but she held out her fingerless gloved hand to her, helping her off the snow. "Thank you-" she said but Scarlett was already waking by eager to reach her home. "W-wait!" The girl calls after her. Scarlett stops walking and waits for the girl to catch up. "What do you want?" She says with a frown. " I-im lily" she says. Scarlett replies in a somewhat monotone voice, "I don't remember asking but I'm Charlie."
