Ava Goldien Book 1: A REVIEW

Ava Goldien- Book 1 is a fantasy story heavily based on Harry Potter. It's about Ava Goldien and her adventures in the "Scizarding" world.

I enjoy fantasy books because it sparks my imagination a lot and it just makes me a bit curious how they will pull it off but somehow, though this is a good book, I just cannot look past the multiple grammatical errors, spelling problems and the use of words. I suggest that before one publishes, they should edit the chapter first because some people are put off by those simple errors and it harms the reading experience. Also, check the words used and the proper punctuation because people might not understand what is conveyed by the author.

Examples:

"Let's go eat mom!" vs. "Let's go eat, mom!"

"Omg, that is playurism!" vs. "Omg, that is plagiarism!"

"She clenched her fists in defeat and with her last ounce of strength she yelled, "Give him back!!" vs. "She clenched her fists in defeat and with her last ounce of strength she yelled, "Give him back."

Also, if one were to reference a title, it is more desirable for it to be in quotations like:

"She looked at the cover of the dusty book to see that a title was written, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", it was her favourite book and she wondered where it was before."

I am not nitpicking on authors who do not use English as a first language because I too am not using English as my first language, it isn't my mother tongue but still, I want my readers to truly understand what I want to convey so as much as possible I correct myself and check what I wrote. I may advise using Grammarly to help with this and in fact, I use it to check myself with spelling.

Lastly, please do not send hate to the author because of their mistakes, I am only pointing this out because I am asked to criticize it. Enjoy the rest of the review.
