Unexpected love

day 1

"Hurry up y/n or we'll miss the train!" Shouted Ron (my best friend), it's annoying sometimes because me and Ron have been besties since day one but everyone never gives over about us being together and being completely smitten with each other. But it doesn't really bother us because we know it's not the truth. I don't have my eye on anyone this year for the past 2 years I had the biggest crush on Harry Potter who just so happens to be Ron's other best friend but after a while we started hanging out more because of Ron and we realised that we're really good friends and don't really want it to go any further. Then there's Hermoine who likes Ron and Ron likes her back but they're both too stubborn to do anything about it, it gets so painful watching them, there has been multiple times where I was ready to just go put them in a room together but Harry always stops me, telling me to let them do it in their own time which I don't see much point in but anyway. We're in 3rd year now and nearly everyone has a crush or a girlfriend or boyfriend but I just haven't found the right person yet.

We get on the train and the first thing we hear is, "Pottah" ughhhh Malfoy, the one person I never look forward to seeing again but he seems kind of different this year I don't know what it is, did he change his hair? I'm not sure, anyway, I turn around, " piss off mallfoy", Crabe and Goyle both laugh but Mallfoy soon puts his hand up and they fall silent. I turn and follow Harry Ron and Hermoine down the train into the usual compartment. once I get in I hear Harry's voice, " you and Malfoy then?" he says jokingly, "what no why would you-" I say suddenly before harry butts in, "relax y/n I was only joking, as if you would ever get with Mallfoy you hate him nearly as much as I do", "i'm not sure if that's possible, harry" says Hermoine. we all laugh for a while and I say, " yea completely crazy to even think me and Mallfoy would ever" everyone responds with yea and we continue talking about classes and other school things.

it's not long before we reach the school, as soon as the train stopped a great rush of excitement filled the air as everyone gets out of their seats and the doors open and loads of students come flooding out of the train. I'm known for being extremely clumsy, I'm always tripping over my own feet and walking Into things and dropping things and everyone knows it so no one ever trusts me with special jobs or anything. well, as we were walking out of the train I go to step out and what do I do, I trip and fall flat on my face in front of everyone, I thought I was fine but as soon as I tried to move I felt a shot of pain in my left arm, I tried hard not to scream and just let out a little "ah", Malfoy, Crabe and Goyle step out of the train Crabe and Goyle immediately start laughing and chanting, 'clumsy y/n, clumsy y/n', I look up surprised that Malfoy isn't joining in and find myself even more surprised when I see a slight hint worry on his face, but he turns around tells Crabe and Goyle to shut it and walks on. no longer than minute Hagrid comes pushing through pupils and picks me up, "it's alright Hagrid I can walk, it's my arm" I explain to him, " ahh righ', well best get you off te madam Promfly then" he sets me down and we walk through the crowed up to the hospital wing, " in ye go" said hagrid, "go on now" he opens the door and I walk in. "Broken so it is" said Madam Promftly, " not to worry I'll stick a cast on it and it should be as good as new in about 3-4 weeks" I nod but then suddenly somethings just hits me, "Wait 3-4 weeks! but quidditch trails start next week" I say urgently, " well I'm sorry miss y/l/n but your going to have to miss them this term but you'll always have a chance next term", "but- ughhh", she leaves leaving me here by myself, so that's it then no Quidditch what am I meant to do now.

After I get the cast on my arm i'm told I have to spend the night in the hospital wing. I don't really know why I feel absolutely fine but she basically pushed me back on the bed and told me I wasn't going anywhere. I was so mad how am I going to survive this term without quidditch, I'm going to be stuck on the stands with Hermoine. I decided that when my arm is fully healed I would go and talk to whoever the captain is this year, I still don't know I'm nearly sure it will be Angelina though, and I would ask her if she would give me a chance and if not then I'm just going to have to wait until next term.

After the great feast, which I can't believe I actually missed but it's fine because I got some food delivered up to me, Ron, Hermoine and Harry all came up to see me. They told me all about the feast and the sorting, another thing I missed. 'Yea so you didn't really miss anything', said Ron after teams all about it. 'Yea just quidditch', I mutter under my breath but Harry heard me, 'what do you mean quidditch tryouts aren't until next week' I sigh, 'yeah and I'm stuck with this thing on my arm for 3-4 weeks' I throw my head back and sigh again. 'WHAT' Harry shouts, '3-4 weeks, but y/n we need you on the team, our first match this term is Ravenclaw, we'll never beat them without you' he puts his head in his hands. 'Harry come on I'm not that big of a player you will be fine without me and anyway I'll be right back next term to help you kick Slytherin out the door' I say, we all sit there laughing until Hermoine yawns, 'you should all head back to the
dorms and get some sleep' I said, 'I feel bad leaving you here are you sure u have to stay' says Ron sleepily, 'believe me I don't want to but madam Promfly will come over and push me back into bed if I even try get up, go on I'll be fine' I assure them. We all say goodnight as they start making their way back to the common room. I suddenly realise how tired I am and fall quickly to sleep.

Hey this is my first time ever writing I started this ages ago and gave up with it but I though why not give it another go, I'm not sure if I'm going to continue it, if people like it then maybe but I have an idea for a really cute maze runner one (involving newt🥰😁😉) so I'll see how things go.
