My blood seemed to rush out of me, staining the floor a deep shade of red.

I had prayed, and I had thought that I was never going to see this place again.

Many deaths have occurred here in the past, and I knew deep down that I was going to die here as well.

I made a promise to Morgan that I was going to return, but we both knew that was it was only a lie.

I had told so many lies, I thought to myself. If I do survive this, then I would tell her no more lies and most of all no more secrets.

My blood continues to pour onto the white marble floor; my own blood which is hot against my cold skin.

I was slowly healing, and I bit out a curse at the deep cut along my side.

It took everything in me not to scream as I pushed myself back onto my feet; now I only stood inches away from the darkness; now facing it.

The darkness is a creature who seems to only want death.

In fact, the creature is death it shows it in its crimson eyes and the look it gives even now is the look of pure hunger and it even seems to linger in those eyes it is filled with nothing but rage.

The creature is nothing, but a mask of darkness; I held on to my sward the cold metal biting into my hand.

I heard nothing, but the sound of my booming heart which was still beating inside of my chest.

I let out a low growl; my wings were sore, and covered in dried blood, in fact, every inch of me was covered in dried blood.

I could practically taste the fear that seems to move through me, and I know that the darkness could taste my fear as well, and it seemed to please it, and it made my blood run cold.

The only thing that was left for me to do was to give up, my body screamed for me to stop fighting it, so the only thing that I can do is to wait for death to claim me.

I woke up; My body was dripping with sweat, and I struggled to fight the fear that seems to course through me.

My breath was uneven but I soon steadied it counting each breath that I took.

I found myself blindly running my fingers through my hair.

Morgan only seemed to move closer to me; her body pressing against me, and to be honest, just the feel of her seemed to put me at ease again.

I did not bother with sleep because I knew what awaited me when I closed my eyes; so I do not sleep, I mean how could I?

We both have been through Hell and back, and sleep only seems to bring back all of the memories.

I lay there for a while thinking and watching as Morgan slept beside me.

I strongly believe in fate as well as my father, or well my father did believe in fate, but it died with him five months ago.

I knew that fate was real, and now I found myself believing in love; part of me hopes that Morgan feels the same.

I often find myself thinking back to that day in the woods over a year ago when I first saw her; and I saved her I smile at the thought as I thought back to her attacking me.

She was amazing she had little training but I let her jump on me her body seemed to fit perfectly on top of me.

Her eyes went wide as I smiled at her from the spot where she pinned me to the ground, I still laugh at her even a year later about that day I still remember the words I whispered in her ear my voice went surprisingly husky as I said" it goes like this" before flipping her onto her back.
