The story on how I became "Death Ara" Read to find out.
It was dark, Cold, windy, and raining on the first night we had arrived here. Mom, was so excited, Dad wasn't the least bit happy, My older sister April was bored and my younger sister Jackie wasn't happy either. It was a small town we moved to mom said "It's a new start, smaller town, Less noise" she didn't mind that she had just lost her job. Jackie being the first to step out of the car and grab her bags from the trunk of our mini-Van after that, heading inside. I followed what Jackie had done and grabbed my bags from the trunk in silence, Better that then complain like I had done before moving here. heading inside with my bags at my sides,I set them in the living room right next to Jackie's.
"What room do I get?" Asked Jackie.
"I donno" I shrugged.
"Probably two small rooms" April butt in
"awwwwww!!!! No I want a big room!!" Complained Jackie.
"Oh quiet down Jackie" Dad scolded "What do we always say?" He asked
"You get what you get and don't throw a fit" Muttered Jackie. Dad sighed and walked over to her,Pressing his hand onto her shoulder "Life isn't always fair kiddo" Dad said in a calm and soothing voice,Almost as if he wasn't upset that she had just wined.
"now! Go and choose your rooms!" Mom said cheerfully. I grabbed my bags and raced upstairs with my sister's, reaching the first room. The room was painted a light tan along with the other walls in the house, This room had two windows, One on the left wall near the closet which was on the right side and one on the opposite side close to the door.
"my room!" Jackie had yelled excitedly. April and I just shrugged and moved onto the next room allowing my sister Jackie to move her bags in,Unpacking. The next room had a small walk in closet like the other rooms, It was fairly large in size and not to all exciting. One window, Facing out onto the perfect view of a river side surrounded by trees.
"Want this room?" April had asked me
"sure, I don't mind" I responded tiredly "As long as I can set up somewhere to sleep I'm good with it" April let out a few giggles at my remark.
"Your so lazy" April teased
"more active then you" I playfully replied, April just shook her head with a smile on her face and walked to the final room, Her room to be exact. Pulling my bags into my room and setting them in the corner, I leaned forward onto the window frame, My gently fists resting on the bottom of the frame and looking out into the small patch of trees. "it's peaceful" I thought, Gazing at the river. "Maybe this won't be so bad" I said to myself.
"Kids! Dinner!!" Mom called out
"coming!" I yelled back. I raced my sister's down the stairs and to the table, almost tripping in the process.
"why do you kids always race?" Dad asked not the least bit pleased with us
"Because it's fun!" Jackie said cheerfully.
"Oh by the way!" April put her hand on the table "I win". I groaned and rolled my eyes.
"leave it up to dad to ruin our race" I said annoyed
"watch your mouth Ara" dad said sternly.
"Watch your mouth" I mocked. Dad stood up and walked over to me, Looking like he was restraining himself from hitting me, but I knew that wouldn't last long before he swung his hand and hit me. I cried out in pain and my mother raced over and kneeled down next to me, Looking up at my dad.
"What's your problem?!" Mom yelled
"She needs to learn" Dad stated. Mom helped me up and served up dinner, My favorite. Pizza. After we had all finished eating we cleaned up.
"It's April's turn to wash the dishes" I said.
"Right" April sighed, walking to the sink and cleaning the dishes. I walked up to my room and started unpacking my things. All my stuff was what you would need, the only thing separate is the journal I keep close with bold letters on the cover "Don't read" at my old home I would always keep it stashed in a drawer that I kept close unless I needed it. Now I had to find a place that would be better fit until my desk came in the morning with the moving van. So I guess I'll have to stash it with my other books in the book box. Hiding it under a few other books I made sure it wasn't to be found easily. I made a makeshift bed for the night and changed into my PJs a white tank top and some regular black leggings. Laying down and gazing up at the pitch black darkness above me I lay silently, Leaving myself alone with my thoughts before falling asleep under the warmth of my blanket.
.......................
I woke up to the sound of ringing and static coming from outside my room, Covering my ears I tried to block it out but it only got louder. "I wonder if April hears this too" I thought to myself, standing up. I grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight. Opening my door the only sound now is the creaking from my door. The light filled the space. "stairs, Railing, Kitchen. that's all that's there" I thought walking back into my room and going back to bed.
951 words in total.... Wow I'm impressed.
