Kyoudai's POV:

"Wake up! Wake up, Kyoudai class is gonna start in 30 minutes!" someone screamed in my ear. I groaned and put my pillow over my head.

"C'mon Sensei will kill us if we aren't on time again!" She said again. Then, I removed my pillow and saw Hakumei's brown eyes glaring at me. I sighed and got up.

"Fine, I'll get ready..." I groaned and went to my suitcase and put my uniform on. Obviously, my name is Kyoudai, Kyoudai Itazuki. I attend the Cross Academy day class and my dorm mate is Hakumei Yutaka. We are both 2nd years but, Hakumei has been here since last year and this is my first year at Cross Academy. I started to walk out of the dorm.

"Wait! Don't leave!" Hakumei panicked.

"Relax, I'm just going to brush my teeth." I replied as I walked out of the room towards the girl's dorm bathroom. When I walked in a burst of steam hit my face. And I heard multiple showers running. I faced to the mirrors and started brushing my teeth while looking at my white and black hair and bright green eyes. Then, I heard people snicker behind me.

"Oh, look it's the weirdo Itazuki-san!" I turned to see the girl named Amai that always made fun of me. I sighed and spit into the sink.

"What do you want?" I asked while wiping my mouth. She laughed and so did her pack of idiots.

"Nothing really, I just w-" Amai started to say but, then she slipped on a puddle of water. Immediately, her pack bent down and helped her out.

"Eww, I'm bleeding." She said while looking down at the cut on her leg. Then, my throat started to burn and I slid down the side of the wall, gasping for air. I gathered my breaths and dashed out of the door.

I sped through the hallway and into my dorm. I quickly threw my things into my suitcase and walked out. "I'm going to class." I said to Hakumei. My breathing was coming out heavier now and I walked down the giant staircase to outside then, I sat in the shade.

See, I was normal...for now. I'm human was bitten by a pureblood vampire. Yes, vampires do exist but, not exactly like the legends. Slowly, I'm turning into a vampire, it's been a year since I was bitten and these attacks come every other day. But, if I keep ignoring it I know i'll die. There's no use though, I know i'll never become one of those damned beasts.

I was raised to hate vampires because my mother and father were both vampire hunters. And me and my brother were in training to become a hunter. Until that one day...

"An asthma attack again?" Hakumei said suddenly appearing beside me. I cringed away for a second then, nodded. I'd told Hakumei that the attacks were just asthma since she had wittnessed one before. Thank god the pains gone, I thought to myself.

"You really need to get an inhaler or something." She said.

"Nah, I'm okay now." I said as I got off the ground. Hakumei got up too.

"Here," She handed me my notebook. "Let's get to class." I smiled, Hakumei was so kind when she wasn't getting on my nerves.

"Finally, on time Yutaka-san and Itazuki-san?" The class rep. said when we sat down in the classroom. Hakumei rolled her eyes at him. "We aren't always-" She started to protest but, then Sensei walked in.

"Take your seat class has started Miss.Yutaka." He stated.

********************************

"C'mon! I don't wanna be late to see Aidou-senpai!" Hakumei spat while pulling me toward the Moon dorm gates. I sighed, why did she have to be one of the obsessors. Of course I knew that the whole night class was full of vampires. I'm pretty sure no one knew that I knew.

Not even Zero..

"Yes we made it! You're impressing me today, even Kiryu-kun isn't here yet!" I gasped when she said Zero's name. Hakumei turned and stared at me.

"Are you okay? Are you sick?"

I shook my head. "No, I just thought I felt a rain drop." I lied.

"Yeah, it does look like it'll rain tonight." She sighed looking at the bruise colored sky. Then, we heard footsteps. I turned and saw him. Zero...

"Hey you! Everyone has to go inside it looks like it's gonna storm!" He shouted. Hakumei instantly turned red and bowed. "Sorry, Kiryu-senpai!" Then, she strode off. I never got why everyone was scared of him. If they only knew him like I did..

"You go too." He said. See, the only problem was...he didn't remember me. I smirked and slowly walked away, taking one last peek at him.

When, I got back to the dorm I grabbed my night clothes and strode back to the bathroom. Once, the warm water hit my shoulders I started to calm down.

When, I was about 6 or 7 I would go to the Kiryu's house to train to become a hunter with Zero and his twin brother Ichiru. But, since the day the Kiryu's got attacked by a vampire, I haven't talked to Zero since. He probably dosen't remeber me though...

I shut off the water and quickly dried my hair and slipped on my tank. I picked up my shorts and suddenly felt a sharp pain across my throat. Noooooooo....not again...

I threw my shorts on the floor while suddenly stumbling out the back door of the bathroom, that lead outside into the stormy night. I tripped out the door and onto the muddy ground, puddles forming around me. I grabbed my throat, it felt like I couldn't breathe.

"Are you okay?" someone asked. I looked up, painfully, and saw Zero's worried face. His silver hair was drenched. I layed my head back down into the mud, trying to breathe against the pain. The only thing I could do to tell him was to pull back my hair and show him my tattoo on my shoulder blade. Which is the same one he has on his neck.

I didn't know if he gasped or not, I couldn't over my breathing and the pounding rain. But, suddenly felt his arms lift me up and he jogged through the rain.

Somewhere on the way, the pain took over and I lost consiousness.
