Summer With You (random lover's poem?)

23 1 1

Dusty days, so full of haisy afternoons,

Filled with you.

Summer sun, it's so warm--

But not as warm as you.

Nothing's warm like you.

Summer heat, so dry and warm,

Left us dying for breath when we kissed.

Long days, short nights--

But no place was missed.

No place was left unkissed.

Long days, we spent them in each other's arms,

Never had a care.

When people asked about us--

We just said this is what we share.

This is what we share.

Summer in your arms, that's what I had,

A summer filled with you.

Even though it will soon be cold--

I know there's warmth with you.

Nothing's warm like you.
