Street racing is an occupation with many hazards. Holding down a steady income is a monumental ordeal, the high insurance premiums are murder, and if you wreck your screwed. But one obstacle stands above them all, the police. They pursue mercilessly like predators in the midst. of a hunt. And should they corner you, well I don't think I need to say. But what most people don't realize is that old Johnny law has his own boogey man, an unstoppable daredevil driver behind the wheel of a seemingly supernatural machine. The duo has been given many names over the years, but only one truly fits. The Hell Charger.
No one knows how it came to be, only that one day a jet black 69 dodge charger appeared out of nowhere on the streets of Georgia. At first people didn't think much of it. The most the car and its mysterious driver did hot dog around on the states less congested highways. Many just assumed that it was another young punk in an endless search for thrills. But that all changed late on October night.
A couple of hot-blooded rookie cops thought they could bring this rouge driver in. The chase took them a quarter of the way across the interstate. The officers would close in on their quarry time and time again only for the charger to slip out of their grasp. Finally, the brazen rookies cornered the seemingly untouchable car. It appeared as if victory was in their grasp, they couldn't be any more wrong.
The testimonies of the survivors were varied. One said that when they approached the car it erupted into flames which engulfed a few of the rookies, another said the driver side door flew open. And something... inhuman climbed out of the drivers' seat. Weather or not these there were to be believed was... debatable. But one thing was curtain, this driver was too dangerous to stay on the road.
An all-points bulletin was issued out to every officer in Georgia, all hands-on deck. For a while, there wasn't a single street in the state that didn't have at least 2 or 3 smokey's patrolling it. It continued like this for months, but not a trace of the charger could be found. That is until rumors of the jet-black charger began to make their way through the racing underground.
An unfathomable number of raids were conducted to catch the elusive charger, and in a few instances, they came incredibly close. But every time the charger would slip away, vanishing to the darkness of the night. Many officers lost their nerves and quit, believing that the charger well never be caught. But their weir a few who still believed they could bring this seemingly untouchable renegade to justice.
But they had no idea what hell they would unleash one Halloween night, when everything came to a head. The charger once again made it presence known, and it was making a break for the Georgia South Carolina border. The officers decided to give it one last try and saddled up for one last hurrah. The makeshift squadron and their quarry raced long into the night, the moon being their only witness only witness.
Time and time again, a patrol car would be mirror inches way from the charger, only for the car to maneuver away. This little dance continued for hours until they weir miles away Georgia South Carolina border. A blockade had been erected in anticipation. As the officer lead the charger into their trap, a few started to believe that tonight would be the night. But as they got closer to the barrier, the charger refused to slow down. If anything, it just sped up. The officers quickly vacated the barrier in a panic. As the charger was about to make contact, the charger, barricade, and some of the surrounding road were ingulfed in a twister of flames.
Thespiral of fire reached high into the sky. While the officers were distracted bythe spectacle before them, the charger emerged from the other side of the gargantuaninferno and disappeared into the night. No one ever so the charger again afterthat. But sometimes, people said that they would hear the sound of a car engine reverberatingthroughout the night.
