A New Face, A New Time
Chapter 1
I got up to the usual sound of my annoying alarm clock. I groaned and shut it off, jumping out of bed. I went straight to the bathroom. along with a pair of clothes. I put on a pair of black skinny jeans, an Escape The Fate band t-shirt, and my knee-high black Converse. Once I finished, I applied some black eyeliner on, and put on my black striped fingerless gloves. I walked out of the bathroom and walked downstairs with my skateboard and messenger bag.
My hair was the same midnight black and with highlights, also with bangs that didn’t seem to stay out of my eyes. I didn’t really like school, not much happens but, I still had my best friend, Lena. I ate some cereal and went on my way to school. Once at my locker, I grabbed my books, and waited for Lena.I was about to reach for something in my backpack, but suddenly my books were slammed onto the ground.
“What the heck was that FOR?” I said angrily and glaring intently at the person. Or should I say the thing. And, right before me stood Ashlee, and I couldn’t help but glare.
“Oh sorry loser, you were in my way.” She said in her bittersweet voice.
“Oh okay, but you should get this through your blonde head that YOUR locker in that way.” I said pointing down the hall. She glared. “You better watch it loser, you may have gotten Lena to be part of your nerd herd. But the new kids are MINE.” She said emphasizing the ‘mine’. “Wha-” I was cut off by a voice.
“If you thought that I’d ever join your airhead of a group, then you must be a dumber blonde than I thought.” Lena said standing right next to me.“And if the new kids are even dumb enough to fall for your little act. Then, oh well. But get this through your blonde head. I would have picked Mika anytime before you.” She said glaring. Ashlee’s expression was speechless and glaring. She did what she normally did. She stormed off and scoffing along with that.I smiled at Lena, “Thanks for the help.” “No prob, I’ve been waiting to snap at her for a while.” She said grinning.
I looked at her strangely, but let it go.“We better get to class.” I informed her. She nodded in agreement and we headed off to class.
