The one time I don't have an umbrella it starts to want to rain. I honestly didn't think it was gonna be that bad.

You thought to yourself standing away from the rain.

If it was just sprinkling or even your average rainfall you can do fine, but not when it was down pouring like this! You stood underneath the tent of the college dorms waiting for it to eventually lay up. It's Christmas break now and you were gonna go visit back to my home town even though you don't really have anybody there to see. You just thought the place you were born in would be at least a little relieving to see. Maybe going to see your parents tombstone, but you couldn't go anywhere until the storm lets up. You thought back to when you let your roommate borrow your umbrella. You didn't really use it that much so you decided to just let them have it. I wish I had two of them.

"Do you need under here?"

You look to your left as you saw a tall pale skinned man with bright hazel eyes standing under an orange umbrella. "Um who are you?" You lifted your eyebrow in question.

"Tsukishima. We're actually in the same year. How do you not know me? Don't you help with club activities? I'm on the volleyball team."

"Oh sorry, I-I do help with the activities but I'm more of behind the scenes, I don't really know who does what." His face remained uninterested. "Hmm. As obsessed you are with it I guessed you knew who did what. Anyways, do need to borrow my umbrella? I don't think the rain's gonna let up any time soon. And the fact that your standing here packed suggests your weren't going to stay at the dorms."

Observant ain't he. Doesn't matter much anyway. "It doesn't matter to me. I got no where important to go." You hid your face by looking farther down to the ground. "No where important, your family isn't important to you?" The guy who called himself Tsukishima seemed to get a little annoyed. "Uh-uhm I don't got a family anymore. I was an only child and my parents died. No aunts and uncles or grandparents remaining nor known." Now isn't the time to cry!

"Oh. I'm.... s-s-sorry." You stayed quite. Not knowing what to say or how to respond. "So then where's your car? If you want I can walk you there under here?" "There's no need I'll just sit here and wait." Not like I'm in a hurry or anything. " I mean you're packed so you were planning on going some where."

"It's none of your concern!" You let out more harshly than you intended to.

His face though, didn't really seem fazed by your outburst. Almost like.. he didn't care. " If that's what you prefer." He had a tiny smirk form on his lips. " But my offer still stands. I have to come back later to pick up some more stuff, if you're still here when I'm back. You can decide then." But despite all that you felt that even through the emotionless face he put on. That the words he said has some meaning to it.

"Oh well thanks, I guess. I'll think about it then if I'm still here or not gonna stay."

"Hey, what's your room number that way when I come back if your not here, I can come by to hear your answer." His right arm rubbed the nape of his neck. "Um it's 1104." You averted your eyes away from his once again. "Then I guess I might see you later. Are you sure you don't wanna go now?"

"No thanks I'm good." You wanted to try and steal another look into his eyes before he left. But had no courage so your head stayed down. "Okay then, bye I guess. It was nice meeting you formally listener." You realized you never told him your name. But since you are in the same grade, you guessed that you didn't really need to worry. "Y-yeah.."

*A Few Hours Later*

The dorms looked so empty now. No loud party's at the end of the hall, or the popular girls gossiping in every corner, it was, actually kind of nice. You started to think it wouldn't be too bad to stay. Walking into your dorm you notice that it was empty. Besides a few items from your roommates stuff it was practically all gone. And what little stuff you had was already packed in your bag. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

You thought it might have been your roommate but you didn't they forgot anything. You weren't sure who else was staying at the dorms. You couldn't think of what they would want or how they even knew someone was here. And then you remembered Tsukishima. He said he was gonna come by but he really wouldn't do that would he? As far as you could tell he was like any other man that was just full of lies. But you never had any proof, he could be one to surprise you.

"Um excuse me is Listener here?" You froze. He really came back, he remembered your dorm number, maybe there's even a slight chance of possibility that he actually cared. He was insistently offering you help. You cleared your throat quietly. "Uhm, ehem, one sec."

You rushed to the door and right before you opened it, you stopped to compose yourself. You didn't know why but for some reason you felt like you shouldn't look terrible when opening that door. Quickly running a hand through your hair, the other went on the door knob. Was this gonna change your future? You knew it sounded crazy but you never really done anything like this before. You never had someone care for you like this. It could be something stupid to think about but what if it's not.

Opening the door, you saw Tsukishima just standing there with that same emotionless face as before. "Hey Listener. I didn't see you out under the tent so I thought you may be here. My offer still stands if you want to I mean you can stay if you want as well I can't force you." You slightly smiled. It was, actually kinda cute how he tried to act like he didn't care. "I'd...actually would love to go, thank you." Maybe a change just won't be bad after all.
