Court Room Drama - TS - Part 1

Hi friends, I know I haven't updated my stories in long time and I am sorry for making you wait. I am very busy with office work and recent tracks in KKB frustrated me, so I wasn't feeling motivated to write. I will update my stories soon, till then please bear with me.

As you all know, in current (stupid) track Prachi is being blamed for molestation case, which annoyed me. And I decided to write something about this.

The idea of this story was there in my mind when Maya track started. Instead of proving Ranbir innocent, cvs completely messed up Maya's track by bringing wedding drama. So, here is my version of molestation track. Do read & let me know how you feel about it.

Plot :

After Prachi changes the statement in molestation case, Ranbir is devastated. He confronts her in college, but she doesn't say anything. Pallavi goes to Prachi's house and insults her. And now the case is being heard in Court.

Tension was visible on the face of everyone in the hall. All the Mehra and Kohli family members were looking worried. Ranbir was standing in stockade devoid of any emotion. After realizing that his love doesn't trust him, he had lost all hopes, and had become numb.

Maya had given her statement, saying all bad things about Ranbir's character & giving her false version of events happened during Holi party. They all were waiting for Prachi, prime witness, to come, who for some reason was late.

Finally she arrived and everyone was shocked looking at her state. Ranbir, even though being very upset with her, was exceedingly worried seeing her condition. There was a small bruise on Prachi's forehead, which was slightly bleeding. Her dress was covered in patches of mud & blood and she had wrapped a shawl around herself. Before anyone could ask her anything, she was called to give her statement. After taking oath, the proceedings started.

Lawyer : "Ms. Prachi Arora, please tell the court what you saw in the holi party"

Prachi told everything truthfully, Ranbir flirting with Maya, him kissing her, both going to room holding hands. Ranbir closed his eyes, feeling extreme anger at himself for his stupid plan of flirting with Maya. He wanted to Prachi to come close to him, but exact opposite of it happened.

Lawyer : "Now, please answer some of my questions. You know Ranbir since almost one year, right?"

Prachi : "Yes"

Lawyer : "And you both read in same college and also work in same office?"

Prachi : "Yes"

Lawyer : "So, you must be knowing him very well. Now tell me, is Ranbir a flirt? Aap ne use alag alag ladkiyon ke sath flirt karte hue dekha hain?"

Prachi : "Jee."

Laywer : "Okay, thank you. Is there anything else you want to tell the court?"

Prachi : "Yes, I want to tell about the incident happened with me this morning, the reason I came late in the Court. Someone intentionally rammed his vehicle into my auto while I was coming to court. After accident, that person threatened me saying if I give the statement against Ranbir, I will have to face the consequences, agar mujhe apni ya apni family ki parva hai to main Ranbir ke khilaf koyi statement na doo."

Everyone was shaken to hear that. Ranbir was livid. He guessed that it would be Maya's plan, but his anger was more because she hurt Prachi, than that of putting blame on him for it.

Lawyer : "So as you were the one who saw Ranbir going with Maya in that party & you are the only witness, Ranbir tried to stop you from giving statement against him."

Prachi : "No"

Lawyer : "No?, what do you mean by 'No'?"

Prachi : "I said that person told me that it was Ranbir who paid him to do the accident & to threaten me."

Lawyer : "Miss Prachi, please be clear. Aap adalat ko gumraah kar rahi hain."

Prachi : "No, everything I said till now it true. Someone did try to threaten me but it's not Ranbir."

Ranbir was confused by her statement. Though a small ray of hope began to flicker in his heart, he was afraid to believe it.

Laywer : "And how can you say that? The person who has molested a girl, can also threaten a witness."

Prachi said in a loud & clear voice, looking straight into Ranbir's eyes, "Ranbir is not a molester, wo kabhi kisi ladki par jabardasti nahi kar sakta, not even in a druken state. Aur nahi usne mujhe dhamkane ke liye kisi ko bheja tha. Wo mujhe ya kisi ko bhi kabhi intentionally hurt nahi kar sakta. I TRUST HIM."

Ranbir was dumbfounded to hear Prachi's statement. He was finding it difficult to be certain about what he heard, but her eyes conveyed him the truthfulness of her words. After few moments, reality sunk in and a huge smile made its way on his lips, just as the tears started forming in his eyes. Prachi's trust was the only thing mattered to him in this case. And the knowledge, that his ladylove has faith in him, wiped out all the anguish from his heart. Now that Prachi was with him, he could face anything.

All the people present in the hall were murmuring due to the surprising development in case.

Then Maya stood up and shouted "Prachi, what are you saying? Tumne kaha tha ki tum mera saath dogi, phir ye sab kya hain?"

Prachi replied "Nahin Maya, maine kaha tha ki main sach ka sath dungi, aur sach ye hain ki tum galat ho. Ranbir is innocent."

The judge ordered Maya to sit down & asked Lawyer to continue.

Laywer : "Miss Prachi, you had changed your statement earlier, now again you doing the same."

Prachi : "Yes I had changed my statement but please refer to what I said in my both statements. Maine pehle kaha tha ki Ranbir aisa nahi kar sakta, he is innocent & in my second statement I just told Inspector what I saw in party, I never said that Ranbir molested Maya."

Lawyer : "But you said Ranbir flirted with Maya, kissed her and took her to room."

Ranbir : "I didn't kiss her. It might have looked like that but I didn't even touch her." Ranbir blurted out, unable to hear that false accusation, but more to clear Prachi's misunderstanding.

Prachi looked at him surprisingly but nodded once, instantly believing his words. Lawyer's voice broke their eye lock and brought them to reality.

Lawyer : "Miss Prachi?"

Prachi : "Yes, Ranbir did flirt with Maya and also took her to room. But that doesn't mean he molested her."

Maya asked angrily "Prachi ye tum kya kah rahi ho? Tum ek ladki hokar..."

Prachi interrupted angrily "Maya, baat ladki ya ladke ki nahin hai, Baat hai sahi aur galat ki. Sirf issliye ki Ranbir ek ladka hain, iss ka ye matlab nahi ki wo galat hain. Galat tum ho, jisne Ranbir ko jhoothe molestation ke case mein fasaya hain".

The judge intervened again and reprimanded Maya.

Laywer : "Miss Prachi, this is your opinion. Truth needs to be proven."
Prachi replied confidently, "And I have the proof."

Maya was scared, all Kohlis & Mehras were very shocked at the turn of events. Ranbir was now visibly relaxed; but fear was increasing in the minds of two people, Rhea and Aliya.
