Olivia groaned at the sound of her alarm clock. She reached with her hand to turn it off and with a few missed hits she finally managed to do it.

"Good morning, sweetie." Her mother walked past her room.

"Morning." She mumbled, moving her long hair out of her face.

After a few minutes of just laying in bed she decided to get up and get ready.

She locked her doors and went to her closet.

She didn't feel like doing too much for the first day but still wanted to show off.

She put on a green plaid skirt, a black cropped shirt and her platform Dr Martens.

After tying her boots she went to her desk to choose jewerly.

She put on a few silver rings, a necklace with a rose quartz and a silver necklace with a locket.

She was about to unlock the doors and go downstairs to eat something when she remembered why she locked the door.

Immediately she turned around and went to her closet. On the top shelf where she kept her shoe boxes, she reached for her old Converse box.

She sat at her desk and opened the box, pulling out a small bag filled with white powder.

She spilled out the powder on her desk and made a line.

Taking a one dollar bill from her desk she rolled the bill and sniffed the powder.

A few tears dropped down her cheeks due to the burning in her nose but as soon as she sniffed she felt relaxed.

"Olivia breakfast!" Samantha yelled from downstairs.

"Jesus." Olivia sighed and got up, unlocking the door and walking down the stairs where she was met with the smell of pancakes.

"Pancakes? Again?" She groaned at the sight of pancakes that she had for breakfast for the past 3 days.

"Be grateful that you even have food." Her father spoke, readind the news paper.

"Steve already left?" She asked her mother, pointing at the empty spot next to her.

"Yeah, he said he had to pick up Nancy." Samantha spoke putting pancakes on her daughter's plate.

Olivia rolled her eyes at the mention of Nancy.

Nancy and Olivia were good friends,  but it all went downhill last year when Will Byers went missing and Nancy started hanging out with Jonathan.

At first Olivia didn't think much of it but when she saw how Jonathan looked at Nancy on the Christmas Eve it made her jealous and suspicious.

She ate her pancakes in silence and when she finished she put on her oversized leather jacket, grabed her school bag and car keys then left for school without saying goodbye to her parents.

She got in her Pontiac Firebird 77 and started speeding to school, blasting Mötley Crüe.

When Olivia reached school's parking lot, the blue Camaro 79 immediately caught her eye.
