Coming Out

It was Louis's last show in Wellington and he was particularly excited for this concert over the other ones. Now that he was no longer with Syco, he was finally allowed to do thing he's wanted to do for the last 10 years. He didn't know how he wanted to do it or when. But he decided that this was the best way. As he was getting ready in his dressing room, he had a pep talk with himself.

"Okay, Louis. You got this. You've been waiting for this moment for 10 years. You have to do this. He's going to kill you if you chicken out. And think about the fans. They've been waiting longer than you have. You have to do this" he says to the mirror.

He takes a deep breath, finishes getting ready, and heads backstage. To say Louis was nervous, would be an understatement. He was so nervous he thought he was going to pass out. But he was going to do this. He had to. As he was trying to regain his breath, he heard his opening act stop playing and he knew that was his que to get ready. Ed leaves the stage and comes over to Louis.

"You got this mate. I believe in you" Ed says as he pats Louis on the shoulder.

"Thanks Ed. Love ya mate" Louis says as he hugs his best friend.

Ed leaves and gives Louis a thumbs up before going out the backstage door. Louis watches the ginger man walk away waves goodbye. Louis could hear the intro to 'Kill My Mind' and the crowd erupted in cheers. No turning back now Louis thought and he ran on stage. The crowd got louder and started to sing along. When the song was over Louis started talking to the crowd.

"Good evening Wellington!" Louis yells and the crowd erupts in loud cheers and screams.

"I am so excited to be performing for you tonight. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for tonight so stay tuned. I will be singing a few One Direction songs,"

As he said this the crowd cheered loudly.

"Yeah yeah, calm down" Louis says sassily.

"Anyway... I'll be singing a few One Direction songs and a few of my unreleased songs" Louis says and the crowd cheers again.

The concert flys by quickly and soon Louis is about to sing his last long.

"I have one more song for you tonight but before I get to that I would just like to thank you all for being here. You have no idea how much it means to me and I just want to thank you for supporting me" Louis says with a smile.

The crowd cheers again and Louis quiets them and finishes his speech.

"You're gonna know this song, so please do sing along" Louis says.

Soon, the intro to 'Better Than Words' starts to play and the crowd screams. Everyone is screaming the lyrics and jumping up and down. The crowd is extremely excited because none of the boys have sung this at a solo gig so this was a big deal for directioners. As Niall's part approached the audience became anxious, hoping Louis would do "the thing".

"Best I ever had, hips don't lie. You make me wanna tssss one more night" Louis sang and did Niall's iconic dance move. The audience erupted in screams.

Louis sang the chorus again and realized it was time. The moment he and the fans have been waiting for for 10 years. Louis's heart started to beat so fast that he could barely hear his voice over the sound of his heart beating.

"Everyone tries" Louis sings, nervously.

"They try" sings a voice from backstage and Louis gives a little smile.

The audience gasps and immediately stops singing so they can hear it better.

"To see what it feels like" Louis sings with a smirk.

"Feels like" the anonymous voice sings again.

The audience gasps louder as they realize who is behind the mysterious voice.

"But they'll never be right 'cause it's better" Louis sings, now smiling widely.

"It's better" sings the voice and the person behind the voice approaches the stage.

"It's better!" Harry and Louis sing together.

The audience stands up and applauds. There are tears, smiles, screams, and laughs.

During the instrumental break, Harry wraps his arms around Louis waist and Louis puts his arms around Harry's neck. He can't believe after all these years, he is finally allowed to tell the whole world the truth. He is so happy that he gets to show his love to the public eye. Harry looks deep into Louis's eyes, lovingly, and smiles.

"Now kiss me you fool" he says.

And he does. He finally does.
